    John Krasinski In Talks to Join Marvel

    The former star of ‘The Office’ who once lost Captain America role to Chris Evans has reportedly met Marvel boss Kevin Feige for a possible future project.

    AceShowbiz – Actor John Krasinski could be set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) if reported talks with boss Kevin Feige go according to plan.
    Website Geeks WorldWide reported the 40-year-old “The Office” star has allegedly taken a virtual meeting with Feige, and the pair are keen to work with one another in the future.
    “The studio has been taking virtual meetings with various actors, writers, and directors over the past weeks, and one of those people is none other than John Krasinski,” a source said. “Krasinski and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige have both said they’d love to work together, and it seems that’s now closer to happening than ever before.”
    They added, “While I’m not sure of the role he’d take in the MCU, whether it be that of a director, writer, or actor, I do know they discussed a multitude of projects during their meeting.”
    Although the insider claimed there’s no offer for a particular role on the table as yet, Krasinski previously told Esquire magazine he’d love to take on the role of Mister Fantastic, also known as Richard Reed, in the Fantastic Four franchise, previously played by Ioan Gruffudd and Miles Teller.
    The star previously lost the role of Captain America to Chris Evans.
    Meanwhile, the “A Quiet Place” writer/director is spending the coronavirus lockdown hosting his new web series Some Good News, which is available to view on his YouTube channel.

    AceShowbiz – Kyle Richards alludes that the forthcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” is going to be worth the wait. During her recent appearance on E!’s “Daily Pop”, the Bravo personality revealed to Justin Sylvester that the cast members would drop a “bomb” in season 10 of the show.
    “You know, we don’t reference cameras or sound, audio, all that stuff, obviously. Or the fact that we’re on the show. They’re just supposed to be following our lives,” Kyle explained during the interview. “But this season, they do break the fourth wall, because there were times where people were using that to their advantage.”
    The “RHOBH” O.G. continued teasing that when the cameras and show producers were talking, “you know stuff’s going down.” She added, “You’ve seen some hints in the trailer for the season. And like every season, you know, there’s always something that happens where someone drops a bomb. And a bomb gets dropped this season.”
    “And everybody just sort of, like, I don’t know-it was an explosion. And you see everybody sort of went to their sides, and who’s stuck with who, who’s fighting with who, and who’s not talking to so and so,” she went on sharing.
    “It basically stayed that way the rest of the season. And as you can see, we had someone pull a ‘no show.’ You know, that didn’t want to shoot anymore. And that’s always challenging,” Kyle continued, seemingly referring to co-star Denise Richards.
    “Which is kind of like, one of the things this season, when I see people not showing up, I’m like, ‘Do you know how many times that I wished that I didn’t have to show up?’ ” Kyle said. “Or that I would’ve loved to be like, ‘Oh I don’t want to do this, I’m uncomfortable. Oh, I’m not going to that party, that person’s not nice to me.’ No. So, we’re here, we signed up to do this job–the good, the bad, the ugly. And here I am, ten years later!”

    AceShowbiz – The first trailer for Josh Trank’s “Capone” is here for fans’ viewing pleasure. The director dropped the sneak-peek video via his Twitter account, while excitedly announcing the new title for the movie, which was initially called “Fonzo”, taken from a nickname for Al Capone’s full first name, Alphonse.
    Following “America’s most notorious gangster” Al Capone, the movie follows the real-life criminal in his latter days. The mobster, who made a name for himself in the Prohibition era, starts suffering from dementia and comes to be haunted by his violent past after spending 10 years in prison for tax evasion.
    But as the movie and its trailer suggest, Capone might have been faking his illness to protect a large stash of money he had hidden away. “You know what the difference is between Adolph Hitler and Al Capone? Hitler’s dead. Capone was like a king in Florida,” someone says in the video.
    Tom Hardy perfectly portrays the aging gangster, who is pretty much infatuated with his cigar. In between scenes of him reminiscing his glorious days, the video offers hints of what he fears the most. At the end of the video, he’s seen tearing up while he says in voiceover about what matters the most in life.
    According to the official synopsis, “Once a ruthless businessman and bootlegger who ruled Chicago with an iron fist, Alfonse Capone was the most infamous and feared gangster of American lore. At the age of 47, following nearly a decade of imprisonment, dementia rots Alfonse’s mind and his past becomes present. Harrowing memories of his violent and brutal origins melt into his waking life. As he spends his final year surrounded by family with the FBI lying in wait, this ailing patriarch struggles to place the memory of the location of millions of dollars he hid away on his property.”

    The movie also stars Linda Cardellini as Mae Capone, with Jack Lowden as FBI Agent Crawford and Matt Dillon as Johnny. The pic marks Trank’s first directorial stint after the critically-panned “Fantastic Four” (2015), with many expecting that he will redeem it with the upcoming crime thriller.
    With theaters closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Vertical Entertainment and Redbox Entertainment are teaming up to release “Capone” on VOD on May 12. Trank is still hopeful for a theatrical release sometime later this year, though.

    AceShowbiz – One Direction will reportedly mark their 10th anniversary with a TV special rather than new music.
    Social media has been alight with speculation over the boys’ reunion plans after eagle-eyed fans spotted all four members of the group, who went on hiatus at the end of 2015, re-following departed member Zayn Malik on Twitter, and that the One Direction account has also been reactivated.
    Directioners have been sharing screenshots that purportedly show the boys plan to release a new track, “Five”, in October, to mark their 10th anniversary, but a source tells British newspaper The Sun any reunion is likely to be a small TV celebration.
    “They are back in touch but talks between them are only about something small to mark the anniversary,” the insider says. “They all have their own music ongoing so a reunion right now just wouldn’t make sense.”
    Three of the lads were due to go out on tour this year, but have been forced to pull gigs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the source close to the group says the delay in promoting their solo records means a full reunion is off the cards for now.
    “Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have postponed tours which they will need to complete,” they add. “A reunion with all five members is a wonderful idea but in practice these things take a long time to arrange and it doesn’t seem feasible at the moment. And with the continued threat of coronavirus, it is unlikely they will be able to get together for the anniversary.”
    However, Liam Payne has fuelled rumours they will get together to mark the 10th anniversary of their 2010 formation on “The X Factor” U.K. by telling The Sun that it’s under discussion.
    “We’ve got a 10-year anniversary coming up so we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks,” he teased.”There’s a number of different things that we’re trying to make happen.”
    Representatives for the band did not immediately respond to a request for comement on any reunion plans.

    AceShowbiz – Bosses at hit Fox TV show “Empire” are hoping to resume production after the coronavirus lockdown and shoot the ending they’d originally planned to air.
    In separate statements, “Empire” creators and executive producers Lee Daniels and Danny Strong addressed the abrupt ending of their show, explaining that while the 18th episode of “Empire” ‘s sixth season, airing on April 21, 2020, will be its last for the foreseeable future, they hope production may be resumed one day to give it the send-off it deserves.
    “I’m heartbroken we aren’t getting to shoot the finale we wanted – at least not yet,” said Daniels.
    “We had an ending for the series planned that we all loved, and hopefully someday we’ll be able to film it and give the series its proper conclusion,” Strong added. “The episode airing on April 21 was never meant to be the series finale, but due to current events it will likely be the last one our fans will see for a while.”
    According to Deadline, the episode has been re-edited to include footage from episode 19, which was halfway through filming when the COVID-19 crisis struck.
    “Empire”, which stars Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard, already had to be changed when key original cast member Jussie Smollett abruptly exited last season amid legal drama following an allegedly staged hate crime incident.

    AceShowbiz – Embattled hip-hop mogul Damon Dash has been ordered to pay up over a book-to-film deal gone wrong.
    Author Edwyna Brooks took Dash to court last year (19) after he reportedly reneged on a 2015 deal to adapt her “Mafietta” book series for the screen.
    Jay-Z’s former business partner decided to direct the mafia film himself, but Brooks became frustrated by his actions after claiming he wasted production time and money on other projects, prompting her to fire Dash from the gig.
    Despite losing the job, Brooks argues Dash continued to make claims about his involvement in the movie and even tried to sell it online – all without her approval.
    She sued and now a U.S. judge has ruled Dash must hand over $300,000 (£238,000) in damages, plus interest, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.
    Dash, who has struggled financially for some time, is appealing the judgement.
