    Kenya Moore's Estranged Husband Apologizes for 'RHOA' Drama at Charity Event

    AceShowbiz – Kenya Moore’s estranged husband Marc Daly took to his Instagram account to issue an apology for overshadowing a charity event. His recent post appeared to hint at upcoming drama between him and his “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” wife Kenya at the event.
    Writing on the photo-sharing site, the businessman said alongside a photo of him with the men of “RHOA” ladies, “As a person of color, it is of paramount importance for me to showcase the positive aspects of my people, hence the reason for my involvement in the Black Man’s Lab experience. Unfortunately, my genuine attempt at doing something positive was compromised by my personal situation. For that, I sincerely apologize and take sole responsibility.”
    Marc continued, “I want to thank all those involved with the Black Man’s Lab for their support after the event. I would like to end by saying, I have full admiration for the organization and am always available to engage and contribute to its efforts. Best wishes, Marc Daly.”

    It remains to be seen what drama that Marc is referring to in his post. However, during the event, which was teased in a sneak peek of the upcoming episode of her Bravo reality show, he did make controversial remarks about his displeasure of being married to Kenya. “Asked whether or not he was “enjoying the ride that comes with being married,” Marc firmly answered, “I hate it. Everybody knows that.”
    This arrives after Kenya dropped the name “Daly” from her online bio on Instagram. Her bio now reads, “Wife, Mother, Actor, Film/TV Producer, Writer, Director, Former Miss USA, TV Personality CEO of Kenya Moore Hair Care.”
    Kenya Moore married Marc Daly, a restaurant owner, in St. Lucia in June 2017. She gave birth in November 2018 to their first child, a daughter named Brooklyn after the city where the parents first met. She filed for divorce in September. He’s accused of cheating on her.

    AceShowbiz – “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” has extended its run as one of the world’s biggest TV hits with a record-setting 22nd, 23rd, and 24th season.
    Dick Wolf’s show is currently on its record-setting 21st season, making it TV’s longest-running primetime live-action series, and now it has been picked up for another three runs.
    The previous record holder was Wolf’s “Law & Order”, which ran for 20 seasons from 1990 to 2010, and western series “Gunsmoke”.
    Actress Mariska Hargitay also makes history on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” this season – her Lt. Olivia Benson has become the longest-running character in a primetime live-action series.

    The Nia DaCosta-directed film from producer Jordan Peele re-imagines the 1992 horror pic with a focus on the gentrification of the North Side neighborhood.

    AceShowbiz – “Candyman” is summoned back with the release of its first official full trailer. From producer-writer Jordan Peele, the movie re-imagines the 1992 slasher film based on Clive Barker’s short story “The Forbidden”, with a mix of horror and gentrification.
    The fear-inducing trailer features a haunting version of Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name”, which is appropriate with the urban legend that becomes the core of the story. The terror starts as a group of girls are slaughtered after calling the forbidden name five times in front of the mirror.
    Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) somehow gets hooked to this story and finds himself entangled in a series of horrific murders. The trailer suggests that Anthony is possessed by the spirit of Candyman, who was played by Tony Todd in the original film.
    According to the official synopsis, “For as long as residents can remember, the housing projects of Chicago’s Cabrini Green neighborhood were terrorized by a word-of-mouth ghost story about a supernatural killer with a hook for a hand, easily summoned by those daring to repeat his name five times into a mirror.”
    “In present day, a decade after the last of the Cabrini towers were torn down, visual artist Anthony McCoy and his girlfriend, gallery director Brianna Cartwright (Teyonah Parris), move into a luxury loft condo in Cabrini, now gentrified beyond recognition and inhabited by upwardly mobile millennials.”
    “With Anthony’s painting career on the brink of stalling, a chance encounter with a Cabrini Green old-timer (Colman Domingo) exposes Anthony to the tragically horrific nature of the true story behind Candyman. Anxious to maintain his status in the Chicago art world, Anthony begins to explore these macabre details in his studio as fresh grist for paintings, unknowingly opening a door to a complex past that unravels his own sanity and unleashes a terrifyingly viral wave of violence that puts him on a collision course with destiny.”
    “Gentrification is what helped us to reimagine the story because Cabrini-Green is gone,” said director Nia DaCosta at an exclusive viewing of the trailer. “The movie from the ’90s has a vision of Cabrini-Green where it’s sort of on its way to being knocked down.”
    Asked if Todd would return for the new movie, DaCosta coyly answered, “Well, well, well. I really love Tony Todd and he’s iconic. I will say what we’ve done with this film – is great! And I don’t want to give anything away.”
    “Candyman” remake is set to hit theaters nationwide on June 12.

    AceShowbiz – Actress Edie Falco accidentally turned the air blue on Thursday (February 27) after letting slip an expletive on daytime TV.
    “The Sopranos” star was promoting her new police drama series, “Tommy”, on America’s “The View” when she admitted she was unfazed by the fact her top cop character, Abigail ‘Tommy’ Thomas, was a lesbian.
    “It did not occur to me as something to take into account when I read it (in the script),” Falco shared. “It was just, this is what she does, this is the job she’s gonna take on, and how will that be different because of who she is as a person, as opposed to the fact that she’s a woman or that she’s gay?”
    She continued, “It feels like maybe it’s time – it’s long past time, if you ask me – where that’s not the first thing you know or you ask about someone, their sexuality. It feels like what a bizarre thing to even know. Who gives a s**t, right?”
    The 56-year-old quickly realised her blunder, which was bleeped out by TV censors, and laughed off the mishap by cheering, “Whoo!”
    “I think Carmela kicked in there for a second!” show co-host Joy Behar quipped, referencing the star’s mob wife character on “The Sopranos”.

    Falco, who is known for tackling edgy characters on cable TV, where language and content rules are more relaxed, smiled as she explained, “See, I don’t work on network (TV) much…! That’s what that is. I had a moment!”

    AceShowbiz – “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” recently shared a new trailer for upcoming season 18 and it successfully made headlines as it featured sisters Kim and Kourtney Kardashian getting physical with each other. However, fans were not exactly convinced that the fight wasn’t merely a show for ratings.
    In the sneak-peek, Kourtney could be heard yelling at Kim Kardashian before she threw her drink at Kim. “You have nothing to say!” Kourt shouted while pushing Kim to the floor. Kim later responded, “Don’t ever come at me like that!” before swinging punches to her sister.
    Upon watching the clip, some Internet users accused the reality TV star of staging the fight. “That weak a** fight between Kourtney and Kim looks so scripted cjfngmgmgmg,” one fan commented. “You guys are really hyping up Kim and Kourtney’s fight like that s**t isn’t staged. they desperately need ratings and are forcing storylines. The show should’ve been cancelled long ago,” one other added.
    Not wanting to get fooled one more time, another user tweeted, “They really going to trick us to think Kim & Kourtney actually had a physical fight after they tricked us into thinking that Kris Jenner really got tackled my Kims Security team at her house….” Meanwhile, someone believed that “this kim and kourtney physical fight is gonna be fake and probably a prank theyre pulling on khloe or something.”
    Fans can only find out when the new season of the long-running E! premieres on Thursday, March 26. However, Kim previously said she and sister Khloe Kardashian were frustrated with Kourtney because Kourtney was selfish and only wanted to film the show just when she felt like it. “If one family member goes on vacation a lot or takes time off a lot, the other family members have to step in and take over those hours,” she explained to Ellen DeGeneres.
    “So for the past year, Khloe and I have been taking over her hours and working because we need content to make the show. So Khloe and I have been really frustrated that we’ve been working longer and we have kids and a lot of stuff going on, so it’s been exhausting for us when she hasn’t taken that into consideration without making a decision of what she wants to do: stay on the show or not.”
    In the forthcoming season, Kourtney is expected to have less screen time as she said she was stepping back from the reality show to focus on raising her three young children with Scott Disick. “I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there,” she claimed. “But I’m not saying goodbye.”

    “I’m so happy to join my new family on ‘AGT’,” said the “Modern Family” star, who is the first Latina to join the show as a judge, in a statement on Thursday, February 27. “This is a new and exciting next chapter for me and I’m extremely proud to be the first Latin judge on the show.     Meanwhile, Heidi claimed in a separate statement that she was “so excited to beback at ‘AGT’ with [Simon Cowell], [Howie Mandel] and [Terry Crews].” Heidi, who has been a judge on spin-off “America’s Got Talent: The Champions”, added, “The fact that Sofia Vergara is joining us is the icing on an already delicious cake.”
    Meredith Ahr, President of Alternative & Reality Group in NBC Entertainment, also gushed over Sofia. “Sofia’s infectious energy and sharp wit will blend perfectly with returning favorites Heidi, Simon, Howie, and Terry. As both a respected actress and successful entrepreneur, she embodies the American dream that is synonymous with ‘AGT’ ‘s transformative stage.”
    Sofia and Heidi are set to fill the void left by Gabrielle and Julianne, who both exited the talent competition show after only one season. Reports claimed that a “toxic” workplace enviroment led Gabrielle to withdraw from the show as she was reported to be receiving racist treatments in the form of offensive joke from guest judge Jay Leno.
    It was also said that the “L.A.’s Finest” alum was told that some of her hairstyles were “too black” for the show. Additionally, Gabrielle allegedly had an issue with Simon’s rumored illegal smoking on set. Following the reports, Gabrielle revealed that she had a “lengthy 5-hour and…productive meeting” with NBC, AGT production company Fremantle and Simon’s company Syco Entertainment. An investigation into the matter was supposed to wrap by the end of January, though its results are yet to be revealed.

    AceShowbiz – Production on the fourth “The Matrix” movie has irked locals in San Francisco, California after a number of staged explosions caused some building damage.
    “The Matrix 4” is currently being shot in the city, but last weekend, the extreme heat from on set fireballs apparently melted building lamps and destroyed the plastic cover of a local business’ street advertising sign.
    According to the local NBC News channel, workers hired to replace the plastic on the sign revealed the repairs cost around $2,000.
    In addition to setting off explosives for the film, the shoot involved a low-flying helicopter, which was spotted just feet away from the side of office buildings.
    Franchise stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their respective roles as Neo and Trinity in the new sequel.
    Lana Wachowksi, who took charge of the first three movies with sister Lilly, is returning to the director’s chair for “The Matrix 4”, which is currently set for release next year 2021.

    “This year, the live-action Mulan is coming out, you have to go see it,” she told fans. “I recorded a new Reflection and new material for the movie, so I’ve been working on that.”
    Matthew Wilder and David Zippel’s “Reflection” was originally recorded by Filipina singer and actress Salonga for the soundtrack of Disney’s animated “Mulan”, which was released in 1998.
