Courteney Cox: 'Friends' Reunion Special Is Going to Be Great

    NBC

In an episode of Kevin Nealon’s ‘Hiking with Kevin’, the actress known as Monica Geller on the hit sitcom expresses her excitement to get together with her co-stars once again.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Courteney Cox has revealed her excitement about the upcoming “Friends” reunion special, adding that she and her former castmates are “going to have the best time”.
It was confirmed earlier this month that Courteney and her co-stars – Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry – will be teaming up for a one-off TV special for upcoming streaming service HBO Max.
And speaking about the prospect of reuniting as she joined comedian Kevin Nealon for an episode of his “Hiking with Kevin”, Courteney gushed: “So the exciting thing is that we’re all going to get together for the first time, in a room, and actually talk about the show,” Cox said. “And it’s going to be on HBO Max, and I’m so excited.”
“We’re going to have the best time. It’s going to be great. But we really haven’t all done that and actually sat there and talked about and reminisced about this incredible experience that we had. It’s gonna be fantastic.”
Courteney also revealed that a recent reunion she and her former co-stars had enjoyed – a picture of which broke the internet when Jennifer shared it as her first post upon joining Instagram – was one of just two dinners they’d had with all six cast members present since the show came to an end in 2004.
“The ideal for me – and we just actually recently did this, and it took forever,” she smiled. “I don’t know how many years it was, maybe 15 years – and we finally all got together and had dinner. And when we get together, which is never – it just doesn’t happen very often, like twice since we ended the show – it’s just the most fun. We laugh so hard.”

The special will be directed by Ben Winston and executive produced by both the cast members and the series’ original creators, Kevin Bright, Marta Kauffman, and David Crane, according to Variety.
An air date has yet to be announced.

'RHONJ' Season Finale: Teresa Giudice Ends Friendship with Danielle Staub, Addresses Split From Joe

    Bravo

In the episode, Tre and her daughters are heading to Italy to meet Joe following his release from both prison and ICE and the former couple can be seen having a one-on-one chat to discuss their future.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Season 10 finale of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” that aired on Wednesday, February 26 saw Teresa Giudice calling it quits on both friendship with co-star Danielle Staub and marriage to husband Joe Giudice. In the episode, Melissa Gorga spilled the tea that Danielle told her that Teresa encouraged her to pull Margaret Joseph’s hair during their fight at a boutique.
Upon knowing that, Margaret lashed out at Teresa, saying, “I’m a little freaked out. I’m not gonna lie,” Marge finally said. “Why would you ever tell her to pull my hair? How sick is that? You f***ing love this girl so much that you’re gonna f***ing just let her hurt me? For what? For what? You’re a real f–king asshole. I’m like f***ing freaked out. This is your f–king friend? This is who you wanna associate with?”
After being blasted by Margaret, Teresa appeared to be pissed off because she knew that Bravo would most likely use this for storyline. “You guys are f**ing assholes. I’m going home!” she shouted after flipped one of the cameraman the bird and threw her drink.
Later, Teresa called Danielle and confronted her. “I’m really upset, Danielle. Melissa just told me what you did.” When Danielle told Tre not to be mad, Tre exploded, “I am! Don’t be mad? ‘Cause now Margaret’s gonna think that I told you to hurt her.”
“I didn’t agree with attacking someone. That was your f***ing decision, and then afterwards, what did I tell you afterwards? I’m so mad at myself. I don’t ever wanna hurt anybody again. It’s f***ed up. I’m not like that.” She then decided to end her friendship with Danielle, saying, “I wish you all the best, I just don’t wanna be friends anymore. I had enough. Alright, bye,” before hanging up.
Later in the episode, Tre and her daughters headed to Italy to meet Joe following his release from both prison and ICE. Tre and Joe could be seen having a one-on-one chat to discuss their future. “I want you to know how I feel, and I want you to tell me how you feel [before we leave],” Teresa told Joe. “We haven’t been with each other in so long. By the time we get used to each other, you’ll be gone.”
“The past five years have been really dark. You’ve said a lot of hurtful things to me like you wish you never married me and all this other stuff. It just makes me think about some things, like you marry someone and they’re supposed to protect you. It’s just, I don’t know, I trusted you and then you made s**t happen,” she continued.
Firing back, Joe replied, “[Teresa], s**t happens to everybody. Are you out of your mind? My crime was a bogus crime. People don’t even do time for that kind of crap. So let’s just forget about it. It’s in the past.”
“I guess that’s it,” Joe eventually said before they hugged and said goodbye to each other. Teresa responded, “No matter what, I want you to be happy endlessly.”

Lena Waithe Shuts Down Speculations of Her Stealing Concept for 'Girls Room'

    WENN/Avalon

The controversy surrounding ‘Girls Room’ starts after Atlanta screenwriter Nina Lee takes to Twitter to call attention to the similarities between Lena work and her own.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lena Waithe has finally broken silence amid accusations that she stole the idea for her new TV series “Girls Room” from Atlanta screenwriter Nina Lee. In a new Twitter post, Lena denies the allegations and insists that she would never steal from another artist.
“There has been an accusation floating around that I want to address. In 2019, I partnered with @Dove for their project #GirlsRoom. Prior to my joining the project, in 2017 a @Dove partner came up with the title and the concept from which my scripts were based,” Lena explained in the lenghty statement on Wednesday, February 26. “I was brought on to write the scripts and produce the content.”
“I have never seen Nina Lee’s work nor would I ever steal another artist’s work,” she went on writing. “As a fellow creator myself, I can only imagine how she must be feeling and I look to #Dove to give us more clarity on the situation. Now that I’m aware of Nina Lee, I look forward to seeing her art.”

Lena Waithe denied stealing concept for ‘Girls Room’.
The controversy started after Nina reacted to a trailer for Lena’s new series on Friday, February 21. “this looks awful, yes I’m hating,” so she wrote on Twitter while quoting the trailer. “This show was defeinitely a learning experience, thanks to everyone involved and to those who still believes in me!”
Nina explained in a separate tweet, “I made a lot of mistakes when it came to this show. Mistakes I can still feel. And I wish I knew then what I know now. We were young and didn’t know what we had on our hands. But thanks everyone involved! I’ve written 4 shows since then so if you’re an investor holla at me,” she tweeted.

Nina Lee first called attention for the similarities between Lena’s project and her own.
Noting another similarity between her 2017 work and Lena’s new project, the writer continued, “Even the way her show is colored is oddly similar, I have to laugh. Ours was fun as hell though cuz it was about the great drunk girls you meet (in) the girls restroom. And it extended out to their lives and how tough and rewarding navigating through life in your 20s can be.”
Dove, meanwhile, has issued a statement which read, “Dove started working on ‘Girls Room’ with our partners in early 2017, and we’re proud to have teamed up with ATTN: and Lena Waithe to bring the vision to life. The name of the series was developed before Lena or ATTN: were added to the project and was selected because our scenes mainly take place in the ‘Girls Room’, any similarity to other creative projects is entirely unintentional.”

    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jada Pinkett Smith’s talk show “Red Table Talk” has always succeeded in garnering public attention by bringing the right guests amid hot topics. Recently, she invited rapper Snoop Dogg to discuss his controversial comments about Gayle King as he tried to “protect” Kobe Bryant’s widow Vanessa Bryant.
After the episode aired, it soon made headlines. However, instead of compliments, Jada received harsh criticism over the interview because it seemed like people think that Jada cornered Snoop despite his apology. “jada you’re out of pocket for this bs,” one user wrote in the comment section while someone else added, “Jada this ain’t it and you should do better for you black community.”
One fan was saddened to see Snoop clarifying his comments all over again. “I would like to see [Oprah Winfrey] or Gayle at the table next… Snoop is being attacked!!! And he already apologizedm.” Echoing the sentiment, one other shared, “It hurts me that he has to keep clarifying his hurt. I’ve been thinking for some days now how few safe places exist for men of color to be vulnerabgle and grieve without being judged or persecuted the I way snoop is.”
“HE SAID WHAT HE SAID JADA !!” a supportive fan exclaimed. “It was never about anybody else, it was directed to that woman only,” another explained.
During the interview, the rap veteran revealed that he went hard against Gayle for bringing up the late basketball icon’s rape case during a chat with Kobe’s friend and fellow athlete Lisa Leslie because he wanted to protect Vanessa. “I wanted to make sure what I said was said the right way and I wanted to make sure that the message was across. That we love Kobe and be respectful of Vanessa and those kids,” he shared.
“That’s what the whole intent was, to protect that women and them babies over there, because she’s still grieving. And let’s give them that respect (sic),” he added.

'The Masked Singer' Recap: The Mouse Is Unmasked to Be Legendary Superstar

    FOX

The new episode of the hit FOX singing competition series features performances by Group B that is made of the Mouse, the Banana, the Frog, the Taco and the Kitty.
    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – “The Masked Singer” returned with a new episode on Wednesday, February 26. The episode featured performances by Group B that was made of the Mouse, the Banana, the Frog, the Taco and the Kitty.
Kicking off the night was the Banana, who sang Billy Ray Cyrus classic “Achy Breaky Heart”. He gave the panelists, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy, clues by saying that his favorite subject in school was art. That prompted the panelists to think that the Banana might be Larry the Cable Guy, Ed Helms or Billy Bob Thornton.

The next performer was the Mouse. She, who said that ‘stage is like my second home,’ performed “This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)” by Natalie Cole. The guesses included Tina Turner and Ellis Ross with Robin being convinced that the Mouse was Dionne Warwick because of the gold clues in the clue packages.

The Frog then hit the stage to perform a rather weird arrangement of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club”. His clue package included more Prince references, a basketball and toy soldiers. The panel guessed that Frog could be Alfonso Ribeiro, Kevin Hart or Omarion. Later, the Taco offered a performance of “Bossa Nova Baby” by Elvis Presley. The guesses for the Taco included Harry Connick Jr., Seth MacFarlane, Ted Danson or Alec Baldwin.

The Kitty, meanwhile, blew everyone’s mind with a performance of Brett Young’s “Mercy”. Her voice, which was strong yet tender at the same time, successfully captivated people’s hearts. As for the guesses, the panelists threw out names like Millie Bobby Brown, Amanda Seyfried or Sarah Hyland.

It was later revealed that the Mouse received the lowest voting and had to be unmasked. For the final guess, Robin, Nicole and Jenny all agreed that she might be Dionne while Ken guessed Tina Turner. It was then revealed that the Mouse was indeed Dionne Warwick!
