    AceShowbiz – Hilary Duff took aim at Disney+ bosses on Twitter after it was announced a TV series based on the movie “Love, Simon” had moved to Hulu from Disney’s new streaming network.
    Earlier this week, it was reported the show, which is loosely based around the 2018 LGBTQ+ coming-of-age flick, had been dropped by Disney + and picked up by Hulu, as it was apparently not “family friendly” enough.
    Hilary is already affiliated with the network, working on its revived “Lizzie McGuire” series, but in a cryptic post she hinted all wasn’t well between herself and executives.
    Posting a screenshot of a headline reading, “Love, Simon TV Show Pulled From Disney+ as It’s Not ‘Family-Friendly,’ ” she added, “Sounds familiar…”
    Last month, January 2020, it was announced the Lizzie McGuire reboot had been put on hold as producers seek a “different creative direction” for the series after the show’s original creator exited her role.
    It was previously announced the new season would follow 30-year-old Lizzie living in New York and working as an apprentice to an interior decorator, with original stars Hallie Todd, Robert Carradine, and Jake Thomas also returning as Lizzie’s family.

    AceShowbiz – Daniel Radcliffe isn’t worried about the impact of gun violence in his new film “Guns Akimbo”, insisting it is unlikely to incite “copycat” shootings.
    The “Harry Potter” star appears alongside Samara Weaving in the Jason Lei Howden-directed film, about a video game developer who becomes a participant in a real-life death match that streams online.
    Yet the actor insists he didn’t worry about the production’s violent themes because outside the U.S., mass shootings are uncommon.
    “I didn’t think about it until I was on set, which is maybe slightly a bad thing to say,” he tells Entertainment Weekly. “This film is made by Jason; he’s from New Zealand. Samara’s from Australia. I’m from the U.K., and this was before the mosque shooting in New Zealand as well.”
    The New Zealand shooting in March, 2019 left 51 dead after a gunman opened fire on a mosque. But Radcliffe insists that since gun violence isn’t as prevalent in Britain, or Weaving and Howden’s native countries, the film is unlikely to inspire shooting incidents.
    “All of us are from countries where it was not present enough in any of our minds,” he admits. “Nobody’s going to copycat this in England.”
    The 30-year-old also notes that many of the key scenes do not feature guns.
    “Look, there are some incredibly cool action sequences in it and fight sequences, some of which involve guns, but actually not all of them do,” he adds. “I very much want to emphasise that nobody should be taking their moral compass from this film. It’s just a fun, crazy action movie.”
    “Maybe I should have thought about it more, but then you can get into a larger conversation about culture informing art and all that stuff.”

    AceShowbiz – Norman Reedus gave his “The Walking Dead” co-star Danai Gurira a send-off to remember by organising a fireworks display for her final day on set.
    The actress left the show last year (2019) on America’s Independence Day, and she reveals her castmates went all out to mark her departure.
    “They did a lot of really cool things for me, which I didn’t expect,” she tells Entertainment Weekly. “Norman (Reedus) organised this big fireworks display, which was really beautiful, and there was this really cool cake that was basically (her character) Michonne’s sword….”

    The “Black Panther” star adds that while the day proved emotional, she was thrilled by the outpouring of love she received.
    She adds, “There was of course a lot of pain and saying goodbye and teariness, but it was such a free flow of love and that’s what sticks with me the most.”

    AceShowbiz – The season finale of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” will be an explosive one, thanks to Teresa Giudice. In a sneak-peek at the upcoming episode, Teresa is seen having a meltdown after co-star and sister-in-law Melissa Gorga spilled the tea about her shocking involvement in Danielle Staub and Margaret Joseph’s hair-pulling drama.
    “Danielle told me Steven Dann told her to pull Margaret’s hair,” Melissa tells everyone as they gather for a backyard barbecue at the Jersey Shore. For those who need a refresher, Melissa was referring to the hair-pulling incident at a boutique when Danielle yanked Margaret’s hair after the latter poured a drink on her.
    “I don’t believe that for two f***ing seconds. Why would Steven f***ing Dann tell her to pull my hair?” Margaret responds before asking Melissa what else that Danielle tells her. “She was on the fence and said, ‘I don’t know. Should I? Should I?’ And then you said, ‘Do it,’ ” Melissa continues while pointing directly at Teresa.
    While the ladies are looking at each other in shock, Teresa nervously asks, “She said that?” Margaret then quips, “I don’t believe it. You would never do that!” with Dolores Catania adding, “This is Danielle 101. She’s making stories up as they went along!”
    When Melissa asks Teresa if Danielle lies, Teresa looks flustered and says, “I don’t even…I remember her saying something to me…I don’t know…I was drinking. And everything happened so fast.” In response to the shocking revelation, Dolores admits in a confessional, “Holy s**t. This is so crazy to me. I mean I know Teresa has had her issues with Margaret. But it never crossed my mind that she would be part of this hair pulling.”
    Meanwhile, Margaret is furious at Teresa. “I’m a little freaked out. I’m not gonna lie. Why would you ever tell her to pull my hair? How sick is that? You f***ing love this girl so much that you;re gonna f***ing just let her hurt me? For what? For what?” Margaret ranted. “You’re a real f***ing a**hole. I’m like f***ing freaked out. This is your f***ing friend? This is who you wanna associate with?”
    “I mean, I feel bad. I hope they don’t use this,” Teresa says as Margaret storms off. “They are gonna use it,” Melissa tells her. That prompts Teresa to flip the bird to a cameraman before throwing her red solo cup that ends up soaking Dolores. Looking so pissed off, Teresa storms off.

    Season 10 finale of “RHONJ” airs on Wednesday, February 26 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on Bravo.

    AceShowbiz – Before Tom Holland managed to convince Sony to sign off on a deal with Disney to co-produce another standalone movie for Spider-Man, the web-crawler was on the brink of exiting the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though the superhero’s future is pretty much sealed for the time being, Sony was apparently prepared should it have to take out Spider-Man out of the MCU.
    In a new interview MTV News, Holland reveals that Sony had mapped out a plan to transition Spider-Man out of the MCU in case they weren’t able to reach an agreement with Disney and Marvel Studios. Gushing about the “wonderful” idea, the British actor says he was confident that the friendly neighborhood hero’s future was still “bright” even if he had to cut ties with other Marvel superheroes.
    “[The] future for Spider-Man was still very bright with Sony and we had a really, really wonderful idea how we could sort of transition into a Spider-Man without the MCU,” he shares. The “Avengers: Endgame” star goes on claiming, “and Tom Rothman and Amy Pascal were really confidant that they were gonna do justice and make a film of the calibre that Spider-Man requires.”
    Fortunately, Spider-Man isn’t leaving the MCU just yet. “But that said, I’m really glad to be back in the MCU and to have the team back together because I kind of feel like it’s where he belongs now,” Holland says.
    Bragging about his role in keeping Spider-Man within the MCU, the 23-year-old adds, “I’m really grateful that Bob Iger and Tom Rothman allowed me to be a part of the process of bringing him home, it was a pretty cool experience and also the best bragging rights ever, I saved Spider-Man.”

    Holland has been set to return for another standalone Spider-Man movie and make an appearance in a non-standalone Marvel film. The third Spider-Man movie is scheduled to start production in July.

    Ewan McGregor is attached to portray the late American fashion guru, full name Roy Halston Frowick, in the new project, and now “Glee” and “American Horror Story” co-creator Murphy has found Halston’s muse and best friend in Rodriguez, reports Deadline.
    Coincidentally, the 35-year-old previously got the chance to work alongside Minnelli on the short-lived musical drama series “Smash” back in 2013, when the legendary entertainer served as a guest star.

    Dan Minahan is slated to direct the show, currently titled Halston, after previously teaming up with producer Murphy on “The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story”, a biographical series about another famed designer, in 2018.

    AceShowbiz – Everyone, young and old, indeed deserves love. “The Bachelor” recently announced a new spin-off of the show which is for seniors, aging from 65 and up who are “looking for love.”
    The producers behind the popular ABC dating franchise revealed in the Monday, February 24 episode of “The Bachelor” that they currently are casting for a new spin-off focusing on senior citizens looking for love.
    One producer offered more details on Instagram. “Are you entering your golden years and looking for romance? The producers of The Bachelor are looking for active and outgoing single men and women in their golden for a new exciting dating show,” so Lindsay Liles captioned a promotional picture of the planned series.

    Speaking with ET’s Lauren Zima during “Roses & Rose” on Tuesday, host Chris Harrison opened up about producers focusing on a senior dating show following some criticism of the current “Bachelor” cast’s immaturity. “Yeah, this is a knee jerk reaction to that,” he admitted. “We thought instead of 20s, we’re going 60s and 70s.”
    Harrison also added that fans often asked him if the franchise had plan to include senior citizens. “[They say], ‘We need love too.’ And they’re right, and so we’re going to do it,” he explained of the show. “We’re going to put this to the test.”
    “Everybody does deserve love, and while we can’t service everybody in the world, we’re gonna do our best. We’ve nailed down the singers [with] ‘Listen to Your Heart’, now the senior ‘Bachelor’,” he added.
    Harrison, however, noted that there weren’t many details to share as of now. “A lot of it is still up in the air because this is in the gestation phase. And while we’re talking about 65 and older — I don’t think that’s set in stone either because we haven’t… we’re just beginning the casting process, so we’ll see what we’re about,” said Harrison.

    AceShowbiz – K-pop superstars BTS (Bangtan Boys) recently “took over” New York’s famed Grand Central Terminal to stage a special performance for America’s “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
    Producers apparently had the typically-busy train station cleared out for the pre-taped set, during which the “Boy with Luv” hitmakers belted out their new single, “ON”, complete with a group of dancers and a marching band.
    It’s not clear when the seven-piece group stopped by the landmark, but prior to the Monday night (February 24) broadcast, show host Jimmy Fallon explained, “We wanted to do something special for BTS and, at the same time, celebrate New York City.”
    “BTS really knocked it out of the park. You’re not going to believe how big and fun their performance is. They took over Grand Central Terminal.”

    The unique gig came at the end of a mini tour of the Big Apple, with Fallon taking the South Korean stars to eat at the iconic Katz’s Deli, before jumping on the New York City Subway public transportation system to play a series of games and answer fan questions about their new music.

    During the segment, rapper RM revealed the person he’d most like to meet is wrestler-turned-actor John Cena.

    “He’s a big fan of us. It’s mutual, of course,” he shared. “We were always watching WWE when we were like, 13.”

    The revelation prompted Fallon to promise an introduction to the “Trainwreck” star. “I’m going to get you hooked up with John Cena,” he declared.
