Liam Neeson Not Fan of Modern Superhero Movies

    WENN/Patricia Schlein

Although he played Batman’s arch enemy Ra’s al Ghul in two Caped Crusader movies in the past, the ‘Taken’ actor rules out getting involved in any modern superhero franchise.
    Feb 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Liam Neeson has never understood the lure of starring in superhero movies because spending hours in the gym to “pump” up his muscles doesn’t appeal to him.
The “Taken” star famously portrayed Batman’s arch enemy Ra’s al Ghul, also known as Henri Ducard, in 2005’s “Batman Begins” and “The Dark Knight Rises” in 2012, but modern superhero blockbusters aren’t top of his watch list.
“I’m really not a huge fan of the genre,” he confessed to U.S. news show Entertainment Tonight.
“I think it’s Hollywood with all the bells and whistles and the technical achievements and stuff – which I admire – but I have no desire to go into the gym for three hours every day to pump myself up to squeeze into a Velcro suit with a cape.”
“I admire the actors and I know some of the actors who do it – and do it fantastically. It’s just not my genre, it really isn’t,” he added.
Neeson admits he enjoyed experiencing the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI) when he portrayed Qui-Gon Jinn in “Star Wars: Episode One – The Phantom Menace”, and although it pushed him as an actor, he found the special effects work tiring.
“The first Star Wars, I was in that, that was 22 years ago, and I enjoyed that, because it (CGI) was novel and that was new,” he shared.
“I was acting to tennis balls, which were ultimately going to be little fuzzy furry creatures and stuff. That was interesting, acting-wise, to try and make that seem real, but that was the last. It’s quite exhausting.”
Neeson did reprise the character for 2019’s “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker”, the final film in the latest franchise trilogy, but only returned for a small voiceover role.
He recently revealed the money he earned for the recording was donated directly to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), for which he serves as a Goodwill Ambassador.

Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Have Fist Fight on 'KUWTK'

    WENN/Tony Forte

Kim and Kourtney are seen throwing punches at each other in a sneak peek of the upcoming eighteenth season of their reality show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’.
    Feb 26, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kim Kardashian and her older sister Kourtney Kardashian got into a fist fight on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”. In a sneak peek of the upcoming eighteenth season, Kim and Kourtney were seen swinging punches and wrestling each other.
Things got tense between the two sisters and it quickly escalated into a physical fight. “You’ve nothing to say!” Kourtney yelled at Kim before throwing stuff at her younger sister. “Don’t ever come at me like that!” Kim fumed before swinging her fist.
Kim previously said she and sister Khloe Kardashian were frustrated with Kourtney because Kourtney was selfish and only wanted to film the show just when she felt like it. “If one family member goes on vacation a lot or takes time off a lot, the other family members have to step in and take over those hours,” she explained to Ellen DeGeneres.
“So for the past year, Khloe and I have been taking over her hours and working because we need content to make the show. So Khloe and I have been really frustrated that we’ve been working longer and we have kids and a lot of stuff going on, so it’s been exhausting for us when she hasn’t taken that into consideration without making a decision of what she wants to do: stay on the show or not.”
The new season will premiere March 29. Kourtney is expected to have less screen time as she said she was stepping back from the reality show to focus on raising her three young children with Scott Disick. “I just decided to spend more time as a mom and put more of my energy there,” she claimed. “But I’m not saying goodbye.”
Rumor has it, the “KUWTK” ratings dropped to a new low. When season 17 kicked off, it reportedly could attract only over one million viewers. “The glory days of the show are totally over. Now just 862,000 viewers are watching which isn’t good! There is fear within E! that the numbers will drop even further,” a source told Radar Online.

    Instagram

The beef between Santana and Tip stems from the latter’s comments on social media, claiming that Santana isn’t a victim of a hate crime like the latter claims.
    Feb 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Love & Hip Hop: Miami” newbie Saucy Santana sparks feud with Miami Tip, the manager of his best pal Sukihana. Santana felt that Tip rubbed him the wrong way after she revealed on social media that Santana wasn’t a victim of a hate crime like the latter claimed. Now, he seemingly planned something to get even with her.
In a preview for an upcoming episode of “Love and Hip Hop: Miami”, Santana could be seen discussing their planned tour with Sukihana and Kamillion. “So, I wanna do a mixtape release party,” Santana said. “Y’all gotta be there. I may invite Pre too.”
However, Santana told Sukihana not to invite Tip. “That manager, girl, she’s out of it,” he shared.
“So recently, my good sis Santana got shot on his arm,” Sukihana explained in confessional. “Santana felt like the shooting was a hate crime because he’s gay, but Tip went on social media and said that the reason that he got shot is because he was actin’ crazy at the strip club.”
“A lotta times, people confused like, oh, he’s a gay rapper or he’s a LGBT rapper. I’m just a rapper, period. And I been through… somre real hood s**t. Like, girl, you makin’ me look crazy out here,” Santana ranted. When Sukihana suggested that Tip might want to set the records straight, he responded, “It wasn’t like you were settin’ the record straight. You wanted to be a tea runner, false tea at that.”
At the end, Santana appeared to change his mind and let Sukihana to invite Tip to his party. “She like the spotlight, so let her come,” Santana said.

The beef between Santana and Tip stemmed from Tip’s comments on the shooting incident at a strip club which was targeted at Santana. He claimed that he was shot because he’s gay, but Tip begged to differ. In an Instagram Live, Tip claimed, “Santana pulled down his pants. Security said, ‘You can’t do that in here, my brother.’ So, Santana, he get loud and go crazy on the security guard. It wasn’t a LGBT discrimination.”

Chris Evans in Talks to Join Greg Berlanti's 'Little Shop of Horrors'

    WENN/Instar

‘Rocketman’ actor Taron Egerton and ‘The Avengers’ actress Scarlett Johansson have also been said to be frontrunner for the part of Seymour Krelborn and his love interest, Audrey, respectively.
    Feb 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Captain America” star Chris Evans is reportedly in line to tackle his dream gig in the planned remake of the “Little Shop of Horrors” movie musical.
The actor is in early negotiations to play Dentist Orin Scrivello in the project, which Greg Berlanti will direct for Warner Bros.
The role was previously made famous by comedian Steve Martin in the 1986 film adaptation of the 1982 musical, which itself was a take on Roger Corman’s original 1960 movie.
Also in tentative discussions for the new revamp are “Rocketman”‘s Taron Egerton and Evans’ “The Avengers” co-star Scarlett Johansson, who are respective frontrunners to portray Seymour Krelborn and his love interest, Audrey.
“Little Shop of Horrors” follows a florist who finds himself raising a killer plant that lives off human blood. “Pose” actor Billy Porter is said to be in consideration to voice the frightening creature, known as Audrey II.
The news of Evans’ potential casting comes almost a year after he pleaded with producers to consider inviting him to play Scrivello, Audrey’s crazed boyfriend.
“I want to do a musical so badly, man,” he told The Hollywood Reporter in March, 2019. “Someone told me they’re (remaking) Little Shop of Horrors and I was like, ‘Oh, can I be down? Please? Can I be the dentist?'”
He has yet to comment on the “Little Shop of Horror” rumours.

'Hunters' Creator Stands by Controversial Holocaust Scenes

    Amazon/Christopher Saunders

Officials at the Auschwitz Memorial have criticized the Amazon Prime drama for its fictional deadly game of human chess, but creator David Weil explains the importance of the scenes to the series.
    Feb 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – The creator of Al Pacino’s new TV show “Hunters (2020)” has defended the show over controversial scenes that fictionalised atrocities committed during the Holocaust.
The Amazon Prime Video drama, which follows a team of Nazi Hunters in New York in the 1970s, led by Pacino’s Holocaust survivor Meyer Offerman, features flashbacks to scenes in Nazi death camps – including one that features a fictional deadly game of human chess.
Officials at the Auschwitz Memorial have criticised the show, tweeting, “Auschwitz was full of horrible pain & suffering documented in the accounts of survivors. Inventing a fake game of human chess for @huntersonprime is not only a dangerous foolishness & caricature. It also welcomes future deniers. We honor the victims by preserving factual accuracy.”

Creator David Weil, whose mother survived Auschwitz, has hit back at the idea scenes from the Holocaust should never be fictionalised for dramatic effect in a statement to Variety magazine.
After citing his personal connection to the horrors of the Holocaust, and explaining how his team had deliberately chosen to avoid characters’ camp numbers corresponding to real victims, Weil addressed the controversy over the chess scene.
“In speaking to the ‘chess match’ scene specifically… this is a fictionalized event,” he wrote. “Why did I feel this scene was important to script and place in series? To most powerfully counteract the revisionist narrative that whitewashes Nazi perpetration, by showcasing the most extreme – and representationally truthful – sadism and violence that the Nazis perpetrated against the Jews and other victims.”
He went on to claim that he wanted to show a fictional atrocity, rather than a specific act that was perpetrated against real victims.
Weil concluded by writing that he is “forever grateful to the Auschwitz Memorial for all of the important and vital work that they do” and added, “I believe we are very much on the same side and working toward the same goals.”

'The Bachelor' Recap: Madison Gives Peter Weber 'Suite Ultimatum' Prior to Fantasy Suite Dates

    ABC

The new episode of the ABC dating show sees the pilot and the three women, Madison, Hannah Ann and Victoria, heading to Australia where they will spend the Fantasy Suite week.
    Feb 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – It’s finally time for the fantasy suit for Peter Weber’s season of “The Bachelor”. However, before they got there, the Monday, February 24 episode of the ABC show began right where things were left off last week. After pulling him aside following the rose ceremony, Madison hinted to Peter that she’s saving herself for marriage.
“Next week, if you were to sleep with somebody else, it would be really hard for me to move forward in this,” so she told Peter. That only made Peter confused and he replied, “I feel like that’s not fair to the [other] relationships [with Hannah Ann Sluss and Victoria Fuller] I have, but I don’t want to give you doubt in any way and make you feel like I think any less of what we have.”
“In no way do I want to give you an ultimatum or tell you what you can and can’t do. I hope you know that,” Madison responded. “But for me, actions speak louder than words, and I’m just really big on that.”
Later, Peter and the ladies went to Australia. The first date was between Peter and Hannah Ann. They opted to have some fun on jet skis. Peter and Hannah Ann then had a makeout session on the beach after he told her that he’s falling for her. They later decided to spend the night together in the fantasy suite.
The next date went to Victoria. Peter tried to clear things out with her as Victoria insisted to him that she didn’t “ruin relationship” like his ex Merissa Pence claimed. They fortunately agreed to put the drama in the past and enjoy their helicopter ride.
Later at night, Victoria opened up to Peter about how she was treated in a past relationship and that was why she found communication difficult. She got emotional because she was worried that she wasn’t giving Peter the answers he wanted. However, they later managed to talk it through and spent the night together in the fantasy suite.
Meanwhile in the girls’ hotel room, Madison told Hannah Ann that she wouldn’t be happy if Peter slept with someone else. Hannah Ann didn’t say much but in her confessional, she admitted that she was “really thrown off” by that because Madison should have known “what [she] was coming into” by joining “The Bachelor”.
Then it was time for a date with Madison. They climbed to the top of the talest building in the country. During the date, the two realized how much they’re in love with each other and at the night portion of the date, Madison revealed to Peter that she’s saving herself for marriage.
Peter respected her. Madison then said that while she didn’t want to be judgemental, she wasn’t willing to compromise if he slept with one or both of the other women. When peter admitted that he was intimate during his other fantasy suite dates with the other women, Madison was upset and hurt.
Peter and Madison cried together and he apologized as he didn’t want to lose Madision. It remains to be seen what would happen next as it will play out in the upcoming March 2 episode that will also feature the “Women Tell All” special.
