Katie Price appears to swipe at ex Peter Andre after surprise chart success

Reality star Katie Price has spoken out against those ‘trying to dig her out’ ahead of her brand new single, after her 2017 song flew to number three in the charts17:18, 04 Sep 2025Pricey is making a pop career comeback after her 2017 song, I Got U, re-entered the charts(Image: Getty Images)Katie Price seemingly took a swipe at her exes such as Peter Andre after her surprise chart success. The 47-year-old reality star got quite the shock when her 2017 song, I Got U, unexpectedly flew into the charts. The track hit number one on the iTunes chart and number three in the Big Top 40.Her song Hurricane also reached number six in the iTunes chart. And Pricey has wasted no time at all in capitalising on her recent success by hitting the studio and giving her pop career another go – she’s already recorded her new single which is out next week. And it would appear she’s hit out at the exes she’s been (very publicly) feuding with, such as Peter Andre and Alex Reid. She slammed those who have ‘tried to dig her out’, declaring it won’t affect her and will only garner her more support. She appeared to swipe at ex Peter on her podcast, hitting out at those trying to ‘dig her out'(Image: WireImage)She said on the latest episode of her Katie Price podcast: “It just goes to show, whoever and whoever tries to dig me out, people who try and dig me out, it makes no difference because if anything it’s making people want to support me more and lets be honest anything possible could have been said about me.”I’ve held my hand up to so much and I love it. “It’s so nice when I got out, yesterday I was with my youngest in a shop and I was like ‘how does it feel when people keep coming up to you’, but I love it – I’m on cloud space and I can’t thank them enough.”Peter recently accused Katie of “repeated lies”(Image: ITV)Peter hit out at the ex-glamour model in a furious statement accusing her of telling “repeated lies”. He slammed her recent “comments” about his children’s “welfare and living arrangements” and declared he was going to “set the record straight” after “staying silent” 16 years.Katie then clapped back at her ex-husband with a statement of her own. While she did not name Peter it would appear that she was talking about ‘fake saints’ and people who “play the victim”.She claimed she was excluded from Princess’ new ITV2 show, The Princess Diaries. Katie also revealed she is “upset” that their daughter Princess signed with Peter’s management team – and alleged she was not invited to Princess’ 18th birthday party because of the doc.Katie said her shock chart success is a dream come true(Image: Getty Images)Princess issued her own statement on her parents’ feud during a social media Q&A. She told fans: “To be honest it doesn’t affect me. At the end of the day, they broke up when I was two years old so I don’t even have any memory of them being together. I love my mum and dad and that’s all that matters.”It’s not just Peter Katie has had tension with in recent weeks. Another of Katie’s exes, Alex Reid, posted a video in which she slated Peter’s kids with his wife Emily.Katie admitted her recent chart success is a dream come true for her as she’s always wanted to be a famous pop star. She added: “I didn’t know whether to cry, laugh… since a kid I always wanted to be a model or pop star. In my textbook when I was 11, the subject was what do want to do I want to do when I’m older.”In that, I wrote I want a fairytale wedding, I want a big house with lots of kids, have horses at home, drive a black Jeep, and have a famous model and pop star.”Everything on that list is now been ticked. All my dreams have come true and that’s very rare to happen to someone. Dreams are meant to be dreams, my dreams have come true and I’m buzzing.”Now it’s given me a little kick up the a***, I have supporters out there. I can’t believe it. Where has it come from? I can’t thank you enough, they’ve made my dream come true.”Article continues belowHave you joined Threads? Oasis fan sings iconic song at Tenerife bar and then people realise who it is

People at a bar in Tenerife were left gobsmacked when a mysterious man got on stage to belt out an Oasis tune – as it turned out he was a well-known British star15:38, 04 Sep 2025Summer may be drawing to a close, but families are still dashing off on last-minute getaways before the kids head back to school. One mum experienced the surprise of a lifetime during her recent jaunt to Tenerife when she encountered a celebrity in a local boozer – after he took to the stage to belt out an Oasis classic.Carly Leahy and her two youngsters popped into a watering hole in Costa Adeje last week for a quick tipple, where a guitarist was entertaining the crowd. Nothing out of the ordinary there, until the musician beckoned a punter to join him on stage for a go at Oasis’ Wonderwall. As the bloke stepped up to the mic, 42-year-old Carly from Blackpool clocked that it was boxing icon and mate of the Gallagher brothers, Ricky Hatton. However, those hoping for a Liam Gallagher-esque performance from the 46-year-old were left rather underwhelmed, as it emerged the sporting hero hadn’t quite mastered the lyrics to the beloved anthem. In footage posted online by Carly, Ricky can be spotted mangling the iconic line: “By now, you should have somehow realised what you’ve got to do.”Ricky Hatton belted out Oasis’ hit track, Wonderwall(Image: Kennedy News/@becoming_my_own_coach)Instead, he mumbled: “Somehow, you should have somehow [inaudible] what you’ve got to do.”Rather than crooning “and all the roads we have to walk are winding,” he got his wires crossed and belted out “and all the roads that lead us there are winding and all the lights that lead us there are blinding”.Carly revealed her shock that the former world boxing champ didn’t have a clue about the proper lyrics, particularly given his rumoured friendship with both Liam and Noel Gallagher. She even quipped that the brothers ought to slip him a lyric sheet to prep him for his next musical adventure. She remarked: “He attempted to hit those notes, but he definitely messed up the words. I was surprised he didn’t know them by heart, because I remember Oasis going to his fights back in the day.”Noel needs to have a word and send the lyrics over to him.”Despite this, Carly couldn’t fault the boxing legend’s character, praising him as “so patient and kind” to the pub-goers eager to meet him following his stint on stage.Carly Leahy took the viral video of Ricky Hatton’s performance(Image: Kennedy News/@becoming_my_own_coach)She continued: “Afterwards, he was so patient and kind to everyone who approached him, so that was quite nice. The kids were over the moon to see him. Some people have really gone in on him, but he was on his holiday, enjoying himself.”Carly also mentioned that Ricky, who’s set to return to the ring in December, graciously posed for snaps with admirers after his turn at the microphone, though she opted not to trouble him for a photo herself.Social media users were swift to hail Ricky as a “legend”, applauding his willingness to have “up for a laugh” despite his vocals falling short of Gallagher brothers’ standards for their upcoming reunion shows. One commenter declared: “The man’s a legend.”Another chimed in: “As long as he’s happy!”Article continues belowA third penned: “Better boxer than a singer! Up for a laugh though. I’ve always liked Ricky Hatton.” More

Giorgio Armani’s huge net worth as he dies known as ‘richest queer person in world’

Legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who has died at the age of 91, built a multibillion-dollar fashion empire and was consistently ranked amongst the richest people in the world15:36, 04 Sep 2025Fashion king Giorgio Armani has died at the age of 91(Image: AFP via Getty Images)Late fashion titan Giorgio Armani was one of the richest people on earth. The legendary Italian fashion designer has sadly died at the age of 91, his company has said. The biggest stars on the planet wore his clothes, such as Nicole Kidman, George Clooney, Cate Blanchett and Julia Roberts. In a statement on Thursday (September 4), the Armani Group said: “With infinite sorrow, the Armani Group announces the passing of its creator, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani.”In this company, we have always felt like part of a family. Today, with deep emotion, we feel the void left by the one who founded and nurtured this family with vision, passion, and dedication. The legendary Italian designer was worth a reported £9bn(Image: Getty Images)”But it is precisely in his spirit that we, the employees and the family members who have always worked alongside Mr. Armani, commit to protecting what he built and to carrying his company forward in his memory, with respect, responsibility, and love.”Armani was one of the most famous and influential designers of the late 20th century. He built a multibillion-dollar fashion empire in his name and it’s thought he was worth a whopping $12.1billion (£9bn) at the time of his passing. He has been described as a “titan of the industry” and a “true gentleman”(Image: Vittoriano Rastelli)It’s probably no surprise, then, that he was one of the wealthiest people on the planet. Armani had also been ranked as the “richest LGBTQ person in the world” on more than one occasion.PayPal founder and Facebook investor Peter Thiel, who is gay, has also topped such lists, with a reported $16.3bn (£12.14bn). Armani had spoken openly about his sexuality and relationships with both men and women. The iconic designer had a 99.9% stake in his fashion house, Armani, with the remaining 0.1% owned by the Giorgio Armani Foundation in Milan. His eponymous fashion company brought in more than £2bn a year.He was working right up until his death(Image: AFP via Getty Images)He owned a 2% stake in eyewear company EssilorLuxottica, which was worth $3.2bn (£2.7b) when he died. Armani also had hundreds of millions of euros worth of property and a $29 million (£25b) yacht named Main. But despite his historic feats in the fashion world, Armani didn’t originally plan on designing clothes. Born in the northern Italian city of Pacenza in 1934, he studied medicine for two years and initially wanted to become a doctor. However, he would end up moving to Milan and working as a merchandiser and window dresser. He became a designer and ended up becoming the king of Italian fashion with a company that has since expanded into beauty, fragrances, homeware, luxury hotels and sport. He revolutionised men’s and women’s suits and enjoyed a career spanning almost six decades. He continued working up until his death, directing a couture show in Paris, titled Noir Seduisant in July 2025, doing so remotely from his home in Milan due to illness.Tributes have poured in for the fashion god, including from Vogue’s Laura Ingham. She wrote: “If you don’t know anything about fashion, you’ll still know Giorgio Armani. Mr. Armani built a house synonymous with timeless Italian elegance and enduring style”.She described him as a “true gentleman” and a “titan of the industry. She concluded that “his legacy is woven not only into fashions past and present but will continue to shape its future for generations to come”.Article continues belowHave you joined Threads? Iconic British band forced to postpone tour last minute as star suffers freak accident

Fans left worried as Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones suffers painful injury, forcing US tour delay and sparking concern for the 70-year-old rock legend’s recovery14:10, 04 Sep 2025The band had to postpone their US tour(Image: Corbis via Getty Images)Punk rock legends the Sex Pistols have shocked fans after announcing their North American tour has been scrapped due to guitarist Steve Jones suffering a serious injury. The 70-year-old rocker broke his wrist in a freak accident, making it impossible for him to perform, and the band confirmed the devastating news on social media. In a statement shared with fans, Jones delivered the update himself. “I’ve got some good news and bad news. What do you want first? Okay, the bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately we won’t be doing any shows for a while,” he said.”The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.”Guitarist Steve suffered an injury(Image: Corbis via Getty Images)Fans immediately flooded the comments, sharing messages of support and disappointment. One wrote: “I’m very sad about the cancellation of the show in Brazil. I hope you get better soon.” Another added: “I hope all goes well for you and you heal properly. I’ll see you in Philadelphia when you’re all healed.” A third simply said: “Oh no! Hope you’re healing and playing again soon.”Jones had been set to hit the road with bandmates Paul Cook, Glen Matlock, and frontman Frank Carter, kicking off the tour in Dallas on September 16. The shows were expected to feature the band’s iconic 1977 album Never Mind the Bollocks performed in full, but will now be postponed until Jones is fit to play. The band asked fans to keep an eye on venue websites for updates, adding: “We appreciate your understanding and support.”Lydon is not a supporter of the new lineup(Image: Redferns via Getty Images)The US dates were scheduled to follow a successful UK run, with Frank Carter stepping in as vocalist after former frontman John Lydon, known as Johnny Rotten, refused to return. Jones previously revealed on the Rockonteurs podcast that he hasn’t spoken to Lydon in over a decade.Article continues below”I haven’t spoken to him in years,” Jones said. “2008 was the last time. We did 30 shows around Europe, festivals, Japan, Australia, and ended at Hammersmith Apollo. Then we had one more in the Basque country and that was it. I was done after that – too much, too old, not enough fun.”Meanwhile, Lydon has continued to criticise the band’s reunion, calling it a “karaoke tour” and insisting any reunion with him is impossible. “No, I made that clear a long time ago. They’re impossible, heart-turgid, difficult to deal with, and have very bad natures,” he said.Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox?
