Gemma Collins shares wedding news after ‘accidentally leaking’ plans online

Gemma Collins sparked a frenzy this week after appearing to accidentally leak details of her upcoming wedding to Rami Hawash – but she’s since said it was all a jokeMartin Winter15:06, 31 Jul 2025The reality star appeared to accidentally reveal details of her top-secret wedding in an Instagram post(Image: PinPep)Gemma Collins caused quite a stir after she ‘accidentally’ divulged details of her wedding plans on Instagram. The reality star sent fans spinning this week after appearing to reveal that she plans to get back on the ice for her first wedding dance with her soon-to-be hubby Rami.In a comical follow-up, she seemed to apologise for the blunder before revealing it was all a joke and that we should all embrace oversharing. Following the incident, the star partnered with a mobile network to encourage Brits to be more like her and embrace being an ‘over sharer’, if they weren’t one already. She later revealed the ‘leak’ was part of the campaign designed to encourage the nation to share more(Image: PinPep)It comes after a study by Sky Mobile of 2,000 adults found that nearly half admit to oversharing certain aspects of their personal lives – and on average ‘replay conversations in their head’ more than three times after worrying they shared a bit too much.Interestingly, a third often divulge details about their lives without any prompting, and once they start, they find it difficult to stop.Discussing romantic relationships is deemed ‘cringey’ by two-thirds of people. Conversations about finances and disagreements with colleagues were also considered awkward.Three-quarters confess that they do most of their oversharing via phone call, text or on social media. However, sharing offline is preferred by boomers and millennials, who believe that if you’re going to overshare, it’s best done face-to-face.Research commissioned by Sky Mobile, which included the manufactured leak, aims to encourage people to be more open and share their thoughts and experiences with others.Gemma Collins said: “Oversharing is caring huns, don’t stress about it – I’ve overshared all my life and I love it.”Now, we can share even more so that those you love can keep the group chats going strong.”The study found that 37 per cent of respondents formed new connections with others after sharing personal information, and 33 per cent reported feeling relieved after opening up.The reasons behind oversharing varied, with 46 per cent attributing it to excitement, 31 per cent seeking to build trust, and 30 per cent responding to someone else sharing too much information.Article continues belowBen Case, managing director of connectivity at Sky Mobile, which is offering a Piggybank benefit that allows people to share any unused data with up to seven family members or friends with SIMS on their plan, added: “We’re all about sharing more – and that includes your data.”So, whether it’s a group chat, a video call, or a meme marathon, oversharing has never been easier.” More

Ozzy Osbourne’s savage prediction about his grave and final wishes before death

Late metal legend Ozzy Osbourne sadly died last week at the age of 76, but the Black Sabbath frontman had some thoughts about what would be written on his headstone12:48, 31 Jul 2025Ozzy Osbourne predicted his infamous bat incident would be immortalised on his headstone(Image: Scott Dudelson/Getty Images)Ozzy Osbourne hilariously predicted what would be written on his headstone before he died. The Prince of Darkness sadly died last week at the age of 76, just weeks after his epic final show with Black Sabbath at Villa Park in his home city of Birmingham. His wife Sharon Osbourne and children announced his passing in a joint statement.Ozzy was laid to rest on Wednesday (July 30) at his funeral in Birmingham, which saw tens of thousands of fans pay tribute to the metal legend. Sharon and their children Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis joined the crowds for Ozzy’s funeral procession on Broad Street before a private funeral service. It was a suitably epic send off for the Crazy Train singer, but he’d already pondered his mortality before his death. In fact, Ozzy laid out his wishes for his funeral and burial years before he died – in his 2009 autobiography, I Am Ozzy. His wife Sharon Osbourne and kids Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis paid their respects at his funeral in Birmingham on Wednesday (July 30)(Image: Getty Images)In one passage of the book, penned with ghost writer Chris Ayres, Ozzy said he wanted to buried, not cremated. He said he’d like to have a tree planted over his head.He wrote: “I want to be put in the ground, in a nice garden somewhere, with a tree planted over my head. A crabapple tree, preferably, so the kids can make wine out of me and get p***ed out of their heads.”The Black Sabbath legend wanted to be buried, not cremated(Image: MTV)He also believed the notorious bat-biting incident would be referenced on his headstone. “As for what they’ll put on my headstone, I ain’t under any illusions. If I close my eyes, I can already see it: Ozzy Osbourne, born 1948. Died, whenever. He bit the head off a bat.”Ozzy notoriously bit the head off of a bat during a 1982 gig in the US state of Iowa. He later recalled he believed it was a toy but realised it was a real bat after biting into the animal on stage. The rocker revealed that he was content with how long he’d lived already, and believed he’d likely die in a “stupid” way. He wrote: “If I don’t live a day longer, I’ll have had more than my fair share. The only thing I ask is that if I end up brain-dead in a hospital somewhere, just pull the plug, please.”But I doubt it’ll get to that. Knowing me, I’ll go out in some stupid way. I’ll trip on the doorstep and break my neck. Or I’ll choke on a throat lozenge. Or a bird will sh** on me and give me some weird virus from another planet.”He then referenced the near-fatal quadbike crash he suffered at his Buckinghamshire home in 2003, which left him with a broken neck vertebra, a broken collarbone and six broken ribs. Ozzy said: “Look what happened with the quad bike: I’d been taking lethal combinations of booze and drugs for decades but it was riding over a pothole in my back garden at two miles an hour that nearly killed me.”Don’t get me wrong: I don’t worry about that kind of heavy-duty stuff on a daily basis. I’ve come to believe that everything in life is worked out in advance. So whenever bad s**t happens, there ain’t nothing you can do about it. You’ve just gotta ride it out. And eventually death will come, like it comes to everyone.”Have you joined Threads? Iron Maiden ‘deeply saddened’ as original member and first-ever singer dies aged 69

Iron Maiden have paid tribute to their original lead singer Paul Mario Day, who has died at the age of 69, with the heavy metal band “deeply saddened” by the news11:45, 31 Jul 2025Paul Mario Day died aged 69(Image: Wikipedia )Iron Maiden have expressed their deep sorrow following the death of their original lead singer, Paul Mario Day. The news of the passing of the brief-term vocalist of the iconic heavy metal band – who was part of the group from 1975 to 1976 – was shared by his other former band, More, on Tuesday (July 29).In a heartfelt social media tribute, the band wrote: “We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of the great MORE vocalist Paul Mario Day. Paul was a huge part of the [New Wave of British Heavy Metal] from his time in an early version of Iron Maiden and of course his fantastic performance on the Warhead album.”The tribute went on to say: “He was a well loved figure in British rock music and played many memorable shows not least the legendary 1981 Monsters of Rock show at Castle Donington with AC/DC, Whitesnake/David Coverdale as well as tours with Iron Maiden Def Leppard and many other legendary artists.Iron Maiden have paid tribute to the band’s original lead singer(Image: BANG Showbiz)”Mike Freeland remembers him fondly as a ‘bloody great vocalist!’ It’s an honour for us to continue to play his music and we will always think of him every time we hit the opening notes to Warhead. We send our deepest condolences to Paul’s family and friends and also the many fans around the world who love his music.”Iron Maiden, now led by Bruce Dickinson, have since paid their respects, describing Paul, who was 69, as “a lovely person and good mate”.The group expressed their sorrow, stating: “We are deeply saddened that Paul Mario Day, Iron Maiden’s first ever vocalist back in 1975, has passed away. Our thoughts and heartfelt condolences go out to Paul’s family and friends.”They fondly remembered him, saying: “Paul was a lovely person and good mate.”The tribute continued with a simple yet poignant message: “Rest in peace Paul.”Paul Mario Day was the original singer of Iron Maiden(Image: Michael Putland/Getty Images)Although Day didn’t leave behind any recorded tracks with Maiden, he later claimed a hand in writing their track Strange World. Steve Harris, the band’s founding member and bassist, had previously commented on Day’s lack of “energy or charisma on stage”, leading to his replacement by Dennis Wilcock, and eventually, Paul Di’Anno, who also passed away in October 2024.Reflecting on Harris’s criticism, Day once shared with Blabbermouth: “Steve was saying, ‘You’ve got to get better. You’ve got to be more in the audience’s face. You’ve got to be commanding. You’ve got to be a hero.'”He admitted to agreeing with the feedback but struggled to implement it, revealing: “I didn’t actually know how to make that happen. I got warning for maybe three months: ‘Get it together. Get it together.'”Despite his efforts, Day confessed: “I wanted to, I just didn’t know how to do it. So the funny thing is, the worst experience was the best lesson because when I got that notice and I felt so gutted, it changed me.”Day’s career spanned beyond Iron Maiden, including stints with bands like Wildfire and the glam rock group Sweet, who also paid homage to the late singer with a succinct but touching post: “Paul Mario Day RIP”.”IN 1985 Mick Tucker and myself put together the first new line-up of Sweet after the hiatus of the original band. We needed a singer and when Paul arrived for the audition we looked no further. Our first dates were in Australia, total sell-outs which boded well for the future. Europe followed suit and 3 sold out nights at the Marquee in London produced a live album, video and DVD. “Live at the Marquee” did well in various charts around the world and Paul’s vocal performance has stood the test of time.”PMD was the original singer with Iron Maiden and had a stint with the band More before joining Sweet.”He passed away peacefully at his home in Australia. My deepest condolences to his wife Cecily and family and friends. A sad day for all Sweet fans. Andy x.”Article continues belowCurrent frontman Bruce has been fronting the heavy metal legends since 1981, making his debut on the album The Number of the Beast.Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox?
