Hollywood legend dies as wife refuses to share details over actor’s death

A Hollywood actor, who has also starred in a number of popular TV series, has died aged 83 and his wife has decided not to share details of his death with the world08:52, 01 Sep 2025Updated 08:52, 01 Sep 2025The actor has died aged 83-years-old(Image: Getty)A legendary Hollywood actor has died aged 83, his family has confirmed.Acting icon Randy Boone was most recognised for his role as the singing, guitar-playing ranch hand Randy Benton on the popular NBC series The Virginian, starring alongside James Drury and Doug McClure, riding his own horse.Boone’s wife Lana confirmed that he passed away on Thursday 28 August 28 but chose not to share any further details about his death with The Hollywood Reporter. Besides his role on The Virginian, Boone also had regular roles on two other successful 60s shows, It’s a Man’s World and Western Cimarron Strip, although both programmes only ran for one series each.He later secured a part in an episode of The Twilight Zone as a National Guardsman sent back in time to participate in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. He joined The Virginian during its second series in February 1964, remaining on the show for two seasons and appearing in 46 episodes before being released at the end of the fourth season in April 1966.Randy starred in films such as Country Boy and Dr Minx(Image: LMPC, LMPC via Getty Images)In Paul Green’s 2006 book A History of Television’s The Virginian, Boone discussed his departure from the show: “I was told that [producer] Frank [Price] thought I was window dressing and wasn’t needed on the show, but I feel that I was needed as much as anybody.””I think a show suffers when you make big changes and you lose the actors that caused the people to fall in love with it,” reports the Express.Fans may know him from the TV series Cimarron Strip(Image: Bettmann, Bettmann Archivevia Getty Images)In his youth, Boone was passionate about playing the guitar: “I’m going to take my guitar and I’m going to hitchhike around the country and have some fun until the Army drafts me and then I’ll let them beat some discipline into me. I couldn’t wait to get out of school and have a good time.”After spending 18 months travelling, he secured a deal with Universal Studios where he was initially cast as Vern Hodges, a folk-singing university student in a new programme called It’s a Man’s World. He remained under contract when the programme was axed after one series, so along with his horse Clyde he was recruited to join The Virginian’s cast.Randy often worked with his own pet horse on set(Image: Michael Ochs Archives, Getty Images)Boone revealed he would allow Universal to use his horse at no cost if he could stable him at the studio, and bosses accepted. The actor explained that he wrote many of the tracks he performed on the programme, stating he wanted to “feel like I’m putting something special into the work.”He signed away the rights to the songs but was amazed and thrilled to receive royalties years later. Randy departed from acting in the late 1980s and began to working in construction.Join the Daily Star’s WhatsApp for the sexiest headlines, showbiz gossip and lots moreThe Daily Star is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join us!Through the app, we’ll send you the sassiest showbiz stories, some naught headline and a seismic smattering of aliens…along with the latest breaking news of course. To join our community, all you have to do to join isclick on this link, select ‘Join Chat’ and you’re in!No one will be able to see who has sign up and no one can send messages except for the Daily Star team. Peter Andre makes bold parenting statement after very public Katie Price feud

Peter Andre has seemingly made a dig at his ex-wife Katie Price as he opened up on parenting and the importance of talking to your children in his latest column07:51, 01 Sep 2025Peter Andre has made a statement about parenting(Image: Getty Images)Peter Andre has said parents “need to teach children how to swim” when it comes to raising them well. It comes after he became wrapped in a very public feud with ex-wife Katie Price, revealing the court arrangement they had in place over their kids. The ex-couple, who are parents to Princess and Junior, have been embroiled in bitter conflict over recent months following Katie’s allegations that Peter and his management team were preventing her from being involved in their daughter Princess’s professional opportunities, whilst also claiming the children resided at her property. Peter, 52, hit back with his own statement aimed at “setting the record straight”, in which he maintained that their children have been under his care since 2018.Writing in his regular New! Magazine column, Peter reflected on Stacey Dooley’s latest documentary featuring Lily Phillips – in which the adult performer’s parents were visibly distressed about her career path. Sharing his perspective on parenting and child-rearing methods, Peter wrote: “There’s been a lot of talk about Stacey Dooley’s documentary, Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, with the adult content creator Lily Phillips, which included an emotional interview with Lily’s parents.”Peter was discussing the recent Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over documentary on Lily Phillips(Image: u.co.uk)He continued (as per the Mirror): “It’s easy to express an opinion about someone else’s behaviour, but if you don’t actually know that person or have any knowledge of their experiences or motivations, I think it’s difficult to judge. Being a parent isn’t easy. You can offer advice, but once your kids are adults, they make their own decisions.”Peter went on to say: “But it’s so important to talk to your kids, especially with the world as it is today. It’s no good building a pool and telling them not to jump in – you need to teach them to swim.”In addition to Princess and Junior, Peter is also a proud dad to three children with his wife Emily MacDonagh; Theo, Amelia and Arabella. Peter was hitched to telly icon Katie from 2005 until 2009, who recently made several allegations about him on her podcast, The Katie Price Show. However, in a surprising Instagram post that followed shortly after, Peter fired back: “For 16 years, I have stayed silent in the face of repeated lies from my ex-wife and her family, out of respect for my children and loved ones, but staying silent has been incredibly frustrating. That ends today.”Peter has children Junior and Princess with ex-wife Katie Price(Image: FilmMagic)He continued: “The latest comments about my children’s welfare and living arrangements compel me to set the record straight. For well-documented reasons, and for their safety, Junior and Princess came into my care in 2018 and remained with me until they reached adulthood. In 2019, the family courts issued a legally binding order to enforce this arrangement. I have never made this public before, out of respect for my children.”He added: “In 2011 and 2015, publicly documented court cases, found my ex-wife had made false claims. She was ordered to pay substantial damages and legal costs, and to apologise, to me and my management. The same falsehoods are being repeated today.”Unfortunately, there are many more lies and baseless accusations I have yet to address. Those will now be dealt with in the coming months.”Article continues belowIn response, a representative for Katie told the Mirror: “Kate is in a much better and clear headspace and is at peace with the situation, this was in the past and she doesn’t feel the need to bring up tit for tat comments, but more importantly she’s dealing with this the right way and it’s now in her lawyers hands. Kate will no longer be gaslight [sic] and bullied as she once was.”Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Sign up for our free Daily Star Showbiz newsletter. More

Reality TV star dead ‘unexpectedly’ aged 39 as date of death and cause unknown

Kelsey Bateman, who appeared on the final series of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, has died at the age of 39. The cause of her death is not yet known06:33, 01 Sep 2025Updated 06:34, 01 Sep 2025The date and cause of death is unknownKelsey Bateman has passed away at the age of 39. The American reality television personality who rose to prominence on Bret Michaels’ Rock of Love has died “recently,” as officials struggle to figure out exactly when.Nevertheless, the cause of her death has yet to be revealed. Sources indicate that the 39 year old died “unexpectedly”. American media outlet TMZ reports that her cause of death remains unknown at this time.Kelsey was merely 21 when she featured in the final series of the television programme Rock of Love with Bret Michaels. In the show, she vied for Michael’s affections on the dating show. She died aged 39She made it to the final nine women but was harshly eliminated in the seventh episode, reports the Mirror. The programme, which broadcast between 2007 and 2009, followed 25 contestants as they battled to become Michael’s girlfriend. In episode seven, Kelsey became overly intoxicated alongside her co-stars, Farrah Sinclair and Ashley Klarich, and disclosed that she ended up weeping whilst on a speed bump. She said: “I ended up laying on a speed bump balling my eyes out but you know what? I’m here and I’m ready for whatever Brett has to say to me. But I mean, hey, I can’t be the only girl that’s got drunk and laid on a speed bump. Let’s be honest.”Bret subsequently told Kelsey that he didn’t believe that life on the road was the best place for her. He stated: “At some point I looked over during the concert and you were no longer there. And at some point you were laying on a speed bump talking saying you couldn’t handle this any longer. I think tonight the fact that you are needing to be who you are not, the fact you need to drink this much?”.”I think you’re awesome and a beautiful girl and I said sometimes I have to make decisions for people, and my decision for you is that I’m going to let your tour end here.”Kelsey, originally from Salt Lake City, admitted she had been “emotional.”She confessed: “Sometimes I get drunk and lay on speed bumps it’s just you know.”Apparently Brett just can’t handle a girl that likes to get drunk and lay on speed bumps. I mean maybe he’s not used to it. I’m going to go home and I’m going to be single I’m not going to think about guys for a while but the next guy I find definitely won’t be 44 and probably not a rock star.”OMG can’t believe it,” exclaimed one social media user. A second chimed in: “May she rest in peace.”While a third posted: “Oh wow! RIP,” alongside a praying hands emoji and a dove emoji.”God bless those that cared for her and the pain that follows that loss,” another added. After the programme aired, Kelsey took a step back from the limelight, but reports suggest that she kept in touch with her fellow co-stars and occasionally reunited with them in person.Article continues belowFor the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. Liam Gallagher’s brutal insult that may have sealed Oasis’ fate in the US

Oasis never quite managed to crack the US market, with the British rock band’s albums and singles failing to top the charts – and it could all be down to one brutal insult04:58, 01 Sep 2025One insult could have held the band back in America(Image: Simon Ritter/Redferns via Getty Images)Liam Gallagher’s shocking jibe at America may have been the nail in the coffin for Oasis’ success in the US, preventing them from ruling the charts and airwaves. The British rock band never quite managed to replicate their UK success stateside. Some attribute this to cultural differences between America and the UK, as well as contrasting class perceptions, while others point to Oasis’ unsuccessful attempts to tour the country. As the band embarks on the North American leg of their Oasis Live ’25 Tour, fans, particularly those left awestruck by a phenomenal performance in Chicago on 29 August, are questioning why Oasis didn’t gain more traction in the States. However, one ill-judged remark could have scuppered their chances of cracking the US market. The band are off to America for their US leg of the reunion tour(Image: undefined via Getty Images)When the group announced the American dates for their reunion tour in 2024, they reignited memories of Oasis’ fraught relationship with America, issuing a stark warning: “America. You have one last chance to prove that you loved us all along.”After Oasis soared to fame with Definitely Maybe, the band eschewed radio promotions and attempts to curry favour with record executives, tactics deemed crucial in the American music industry. This wasn’t their style, and they had already publicly criticised the US, most notably at the MTV Awards when Liam spat onstage during Champagne Supernova, reports the Irish Star.Despite public opinion surrounding the decision, Liam was simply attempting to show America the authentic Oasis, explaining (per Far Out): “I went over there with a chip on my shoulder, but a good chip. I was like, ‘We’re going to f****** have you, and we’re going to do it our way. You won’t be moulding us to be one of your own.'”I wasn’t bothered whether we made it in the States. We would give it a good crack, but it would have to be on our terms. My main thing was to make an album and be great where I lived. In America, it was, ‘if it happens, it happens.'”During their commercial zenith, Oasis reigned supreme across the UK, Europe, and even throughout Latin America and Asia, yet they never cracked the US market. None of Oasis’ eight studio releases ever claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200.Liam said he went to America with a chip on his shoulder(Image: Getty Images)Their best performance came with 1997’s Be Here Now, which secured No. 2.Nevertheless, 1995’s (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? achieved 4 x Platinum status according to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America). Examining the band’s chart singles, Wonderwall climbed to No.8 on the Billboard Hot 100, whilst the remainder failed to surpass Don’t Look Back In Anger’s No.55 position.Meanwhile, grunge titans Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden ruled the charts. In 1992, Nirvana’s legendary Nevermind climbed from No.6 to No.1 on the Billboard 200.Pearl Jam’s Ten secured No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in August 1992, and Soundgarden’s 1994 release Superunknown launched straight to No.1 on the Billboard 200. In the same year, Oasis set off on their inaugural US tour, which included a notorious gig at LA’s Whisky A Go Go in 1994.As recounted in the 2016 documentary Supersonic, the band accidentally purchased crystal meth instead of cocaine, leading to an incident that Liam described as keeping them “just kept us up for f****** days.”Liam and Noel Gallagher have been branded ‘a**holes’ as music fans debate why Americans ‘didn’t get’ Oasis(Image: Getty Images)The brothers’ on-stage squabble led to Noel temporarily leaving the band and several shows being cancelled. Their misfortune in America persisted, with Liam going AWOL for a series of concerts in the US in 1996.Noel reflected in 2023 on the American music market’s reaction to their attitude, stating, “They couldn’t handle the fact that we didn’t give a f–k about anything,” adding, “That’s the reason we’ve never really had a number one album in America – they wouldn’t go the extra mile for us because we wouldn’t go the extra mile for them.”Article continues belowDespite their efforts to make headway in America, grunge remained dominant. Commenting on this struggle, Liam quipped, “They get a bright bunch like us, with deodorant on, they don’t get it.”However, fans who recently saw Oasis perform in Chicago – their first American show since 2008 – are surprised that the band didn’t achieve greater popularity during their heyday. The performance has received high praise from numerous fans, with many describing it as “electric.”For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. TV’s Olivia Attwood lays into pervy presenters who throw their weight around on set

Presenter Olivia Attwood says there’s no place in the TV industry for big names who think they can do what they like – in the wake of a string of bullying scandals20:00, 31 Aug 2025Updated 20:57, 31 Aug 2025Olivia Attwood is warning it’s game over for TV stars who behave badly.(Image: Gareth Cattermole, Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images)Olivia Attwood is warning it’s game over for TV stars who behave badly. For years, studios have been plagued by seedy antics and bullying. But the presenter thinks that sort of thing is not being tolerated any more. Olivia says: “I think that the jig is really up for people that don’t behave well on set. There was a culture for a long time where that was tolerated. But I don’t think in this day and age and in this climate that we are putting up with as much of that, which I think is good.”Olivia is convinced there’s no excuse for inappropriate behaviour from any TV stars because it isn’t as tough as most industries. “Being in the entertainment is a f****** privilege of a job,” she adds.’I think that the jig is really up for people that don’t behave well on set’“We are not saving lives here. We are making telly. It should be fun. Let’s not take the fun out of it for everyone involved.” In recent months a raft of household names have been dropped over claims they misbehaved.Gregg Wallace and John Torode have both been axed from MasterChef while Gino D’Acampo has been sidelined by ITV. And Olivia is thrilled action is being taken. In fact, she’s trying to be part of the change herself by making sure there’s a nice atmosphere when she’s filming a show. “I always think of myself as someone that advocates for people,” she says.“I treat everyone the same whether they’re a runner or a commissioner. I think that everyone should be treated with respect. You have to have respect for every single person that goes into making a production. That’s just the way that I was brought up. You can’t teach people good manners. You’ve either got it or you haven’t.”While Olivia is pleased stars are being held to account, she does worry that the new culture has its downsides. The star is aware that she could get into trouble if she says or does the wrong thing. She’s issued an ominous warning(Image: Mancpicss66 / BACKGRID)In this day and age, one social media post or comment can spark a backlash on social media and end your career. She says: “It’s a really hard climate because we demand authenticity from celebrities, but at the same time people are really quick to tell you off.“I always try to be as unfiltered as I can while still using my brain not to say anything dumb that could offend someone. It’s a fine line. You have to be smart with it and read the room.”Olivia regularly gets tips from established presenters. They include Davina McCall, Holly Willoughby, Cat Deeley and Dermot O’Leary. The mentoring helps her navigate the industry. “There are so many presenters who have given me advice,” she says. “It’s a nice feeling. They’re genuinely happy for me. It’s been kind of surprising because you don’t always expect that from people.”Since finding fame on Love Island in 2017, Olivia has become one of ITV’s biggest stars. At first she did lots of reality shows including The Only Way Is Essex and I’m A Celebrity.(Image: Mancpicss66 / BACKGRID)But more recently she’s carved out a successful career as a presenter, with documentary series Getting Filthy Rich and The Price of Perfection. There’s also been her series Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends. That has been so successful that it’s returning for a second series on ITV2 this month. Despite all of that, she still doesn’t really think she’s famous.Article continues belowShe says: “When you leave Love Island, especially as we left at the height of series three, you get a crash course on dealing with the public. I can’t actually remember life before it. People say, ‘Being on TV must be really weird’. But I don’t feel like I notice that anymore.“Having said that, I still don’t think of myself as famous. Mariah Carey is famous. I am known in a certain group of people. If you live in the UK, you might know me. But my life is pretty normal.”For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. More

‘Reading Festival’s lineup was mind-blowing – 2026 organisers should take notes’

EXCLUSIVE: Daily Star ventured down to Reading Festival to check out this year’s stacked lineup with some of the biggest names in rock and metal right now19:53, 31 Aug 2025Updated 19:56, 31 Aug 2025Reading Festival’s Saturday lineup was one of the best this festival season.I went along on Saturday 23 August and to catch Enter Shikari, Limp Bizkit and Bring Me The Horizon, a day which quickly became one of my favourite live music experiences to date.I’ve been a personal fan of all three bands since my early teens so yeah, you could say I have some bias, but there’s no denying it was a truly mind-blowing event for rock and metal fans alike. Enter Shikari kicked off the night, a band I’ve been meaning to catch live ever since I started going to gigs, and they were far better than I could have ever expected.Limp Bizkit followed and played all their classics, from Nookie to Break Stuff to their iconic performance of Full Nelson with one lucky fan they pulled up on stage (shoutout Brooke). The atmosphere was electric as everyone in the crowd shouted from the tops of their voices and waited for BMTH’s grand finale to close out the night.Limp Bizkit were incredible live…more like this next year please!(Image: Getty Images)Oli always puts on a good show but their NeX GEn era has allowed the band to worldbuild like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Screens lit up with a giant talking monster and a robot…thing…that scanned the crowd and warped faces into unrecognisable living dead figures.BMTH’s immersive on-stage storyline featured AI zombies, bald angels, performers in hazmat suits, a church backdrop covered in snow and an homage to Britpop icons Oasis with a heavy metal version of Wonderwall to top it all off.Their whole set felt like a video game – as one song finished another level unlocked, with lore to discover and computer viruses to defeat (just watch their set on BBC iPlayer if you don’t know what I’m talking about).BMTH’s post-apocalyptic theme featured giant talking cyborgs, wild pyrotechnics and crazy green lazers(Image: Getty Images)Reading Festival organisers, I’m speaking to you directly: Keep. It. Up! This year’s Saturday lineup was legendary and it will certainly be a hard one to beat in 2026, but I have faith you can go bigger and better than ever before if you stay on this path.In other festival news, disposable vapes are the latest sustainability challenge in the ongoing single-use plastic problem at festivals and events. The new disposable vape ban came into effect on 1st June 2025, but festival-goers will still be able to take in alternative options and get their nicotine moment with nicotine pouches from brands such as Nordic Spirit.Article continues belowJoin the Daily Star’s WhatsApp for the sexiest headlines, showbiz gossip and lots moreThe Daily Star is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join us!Through the app, we’ll send you the sassiest showbiz stories, some naught headline and a seismic smattering of aliens…along with the latest breaking news of course. To join our community, all you have to do to join isclick on this link, select ‘Join Chat’ and you’re in!No one will be able to see who has sign up and no one can send messages except for the Daily Star team. Katie Price to flog used clothes to fans for ‘cheap’ as she’s ‘sick’ of having boxes full

Katie Price is set to sell her used clothes on Vinted for “cheap” as she is “sick” of having boxes full of her outfits and footwear stacked up in her four-bed home in Sussex, South East England.18:43, 31 Aug 2025Updated 18:43, 31 Aug 2025It’s going cheap(Image: BANG Showbiz)Katie Price is preparing to flog her second-hand clobber on Vinted. The 47 year old model is planning to shift her garments and shoes for “cheap” prices on the online marketplace because she’s fed up with having countless boxes of her outfits and footwear cluttering up her four-bedroom Sussex pad.Speaking to her sister Sophie, 35, on the latest instalment of The Katie Price Show podcast, Katie revealed: “If anyone likes anything I’ve worn through the years up till now – oh my God, packing the amount of boxes of clothes, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, there it is. Oh my God, I’ve got that. I don’t even want it.'”.She continued: “Shoes, trainers, clothes. I’ve got to start Vinted. Not because I just want to make money from it, I just want to get rid of it.”She’s flogging her gear(Image: Nordin Catic, Getty Images for The Cambridge Union)The reality star added: “Otherwise, it’s sitting there, and I just want to get rid of it. I’m not even going to sell it for a lot of money, just cheap, just to get rid of it.”She emphasised her desperation to declutter, saying: “I have to. I can’t keep carrying around boxes of clothes everywhere.”The TV personality – who flogged her old underwear and bras in frames back in 2023 – even discovered a pair of unworn Nike Air trainers belonging to her eldest son Harvey, whom she shares with former Manchester United footballer Dwight Yorke, 53. Harvey, aged 23, is blind and autistic, suffers from septo-optic dysplasia—a disorder affecting early brain development—and has Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare genetic condition causing physical symptoms, learning difficulties, and behavioural challenges.Katie shared: “I’ve even got Harvey’s trainers from the year when he was born. They’re 23 years old. Remember, he didn’t walk, but I was the same, we had to have the in-trainers. So whatever the Nikes were then, I wonder if they’re worth anything because they’re 23 years old in good condition.”Sophie then reminisced about Harvey owning Adidas Stan Smith shoes adorned with frogs. Katie still possesses the footwear, but she doesn’t allow Harvey to wear them as they appear “battered”.Sophie queried: “Didn’t he have Stan Smiths with frogs on, with Kermit or something?”. Katie – who has a 50 year old brother named Daniel – retorted: “Oh, them b***** things. I’ve still got them. I refuse him to wear them.”Sophie probed: “Why?”. Katie explained: “Because he wears them every day. They look battered. And if I put them in the washing machine, I don’t know if they’re – that’s the thing with Harv.”He has so many nice trainers, but he ends up liking the same ones. So if anyone sees me with Harv, and they look at his footwear, like a pair of his trainers, I think they’re Nike Air ones, you know, the bubbles in them. They’ve popped.Article continues below”They’ve popped, and I’m like, ‘I don’t know how they’ve popped.’ With his weight, probably, I don’t know. But he still insists on wearing them. I’m like, ‘Harv, but the air bubbles have popped.’ They did look old.”Katie is also mum to Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, whom she shares with her ex-husband, singer Peter Andre, 52. She has two more children, Jett, 12, and Bunny, 11, from her previous marriage to Kieran Hayler, who’s 38.For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. Olivia Colman made a child cry by hitting her with a belt as she thought she was acting

Incident happened when the actress while she was shooting 2019 musical Les Misérables and she had to say , ‘I’m so sorry’ after the awful incident18:11, 31 Aug 2025Updated 18:17, 31 Aug 2025Olivia Colman once made a child cry(Image: Getty Images )Olivia Colman learned the hard way that you should never work with children – after making a child sob. The old showbiz adage rang true for the actress while she was shooting 2019 musical Les Misérables.Olivia, who played meanie Madame Thénardier, recalled: “I was meant to hit this little girl. She had padding down her back and I had a belt. I hit her once, half-heartedly, and I burst into tears, ‘I can’t do it, I can’t hit her.’ She was like, ‘No, do it, look, do it,’ and she was hitting herself.“There was also one little girl, who was the younger version [of the character], who didn’t speak English.Doris was one of Olivia’s most iconic roles(Image: UNIVERSAL PICTURES)“She started to look like she was crying, and I went, ‘Oh, shut up’ because I thought she was acting. But she actually started to cry. I went, ‘I’m so sorry!’ It was awful.”Olivia returns to the small screen in Netflix ’s adaptation of Pride And Prejudice. And she’ll also reprise her role as Angela Burr in the follow-up to 2016 spy drama The Night Manager. And the mum-of-three recalled director Susanne Bier’s advice on the set of the original: “I was massively pregnant, and [Susanne] said, ‘Could you walk less pregnant?’ I was like, ‘No, there’s a head in my pelvis!’”Before Hollywood fame, Olivia landed the role of PC Doris Thatcher in 2007’s Hot Fuzz. The police officer cracked a number of cheeky one liners throughout the comedy film, which is part of the Cornetto Trilogy. When Sergeant Angel first meets Doris, he corrects Danny for calling her a “police woman” by quipping: “She’s a police officer. Being a woman has nothing to do with it,” to which she replies: “Oh I don’t know, comes in handy every so often! I could have given you the tour…I’ve been around the station a few times.”Later on, another hilarious scene shows the force inspecting a car crash. One of the officers noticed that the top came off the vehicle and Colman hilariously responds: “I’ve had my top off in this lay-by,” with a filthy giggle. When being told not to eat late at night Doris snaps: “I like a midnight gobble,” and while standing over a spit roast pig she jokes: “That’ll be me after a few pints!”Olivia’s character has become somewhat of a comedy icon and over on Reddit, Hot Fuzz fans have been discussing the actress’ razor-sharp delivery and quick wit. One person wrote: “I don’t believe she had a single line in the entire movie that was not a joke or innuendo,” as another typed: “Colman is a f—ing gem – glad some new folks are getting exposed to here. Check out Peep Show as well.”Article continues belowFor the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. More
