(Image: GETTY)”I’m ginger, so I was instantly ripped into from the day I started school – ginger, had a stutter, and wore huge glasses… just a bit odd.”I have always looked a little bit quirky and I never had much luck with girls.”It was always like I looked a bit weird and then when I started playing music every time I would do a gig everyone was like, ‘Oh it’s the ginger guy with the small guitar’, and you get remembered for that.”Rough sleepingWhilst the 34-year-old honed his musical talents, he departed Suffolk to begin anew in London, where he would perform on the streets and take on performances wherever possible.Ed Sheeran’s journey to stardom wasn’t always smooth sailing, as he revealed in his 2014 autobiography ‘A Visual Journey’, where he shared tales of having to find inventive places to sleep. He penned: “There was an arch outside Buckingham Palace that has a heating duct and I spent a couple of nights there.”That’s where I wrote the song Homeless and the lines, ‘It’s not a homeless night for me, I’m just home less than I’d like to be.'”I didn’t have anywhere to live for much of 2008 and the whole of 2009 and 2010, but somehow I made it work.”I spent a week catching up on sleep on Circle Line trains.”I’d go out and play a gig, wait until 5am when the Underground opened, sleep on the Circle Line until 12, go to a session – and then repeat. It wasn’t that bad.”It’s not like I was sleeping rough on the cold streets.”Singer Ed Sheeran met his wife Cherry Seaborn when they were growing up in Suffolk together. (Image: GETTY)Love lifeSheeran didn’t have to look very far to find “The One” as he met his future wife, Cherry Seaborn, during their childhood in Suffolk, but they only reconnected in 2015 in New York thanks to a mutual friend’s suggestion. This chance meeting sparked a romance that led to a low-key wedding in 2018 and the arrival of their daughters, Lyra in 2020 and Jupiter in 2022.Speaking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2021, Sheeran remarked: “I just found that I really didn’t have a purpose outside of [music] because when I was giving myself fixed time of no work, I wasn’t doing anything I enjoyed because I love doing music.”And [being a dad] has actually given me purpose and something in life that’s actually more important than my job.”Drugs and alcoholLike countless other megastars, The A Team hitmaker had dabbled with substances and booze to excess, branding himself a “party boy” when speaking to Rolling Stone.”I was always a drinker. I didn’t touch any sort of like, drug, until I was 24,” he revealed.”I remember just being at a festival and being like, ‘Well, if all of my friends do it, it can’t be that bad’. And then sort of dabbling.”Then it just turns into a habit that you do once a week and then once a day and then, like, twice a day and then, like, without booze. It just became bad vibes.”Two pivotal moments ultimately prompted Sheeran to abandon his destructive habits permanently: fatherhood and the devastating loss of mate Jamal Edwards.Singer Ed Sheeran’s friend and music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards died of complications linked with cocaine use. (Image: GETTY)The music mogul tragically passed away from cardiac arrhythmia triggered by cocaine consumption.Sheeran declared: “I would never, ever, ever touch anything again, because that’s how Jamal died.”And that’s just disrespectful to his memory to even, like, go near.”Discussing how becoming a father transformed his perspective, the chart-topper continued: “I don’t ever want to be pissed holding my kid. Ever, ever.”Having a couple of beers is one thing. But having a bottle of vodka is another thing.”It’s just a realisation of, ‘I’m getting into my thirties. Grow up! You’ve partied, you’ve had this experience. Be happy with that and just be done.'”.Next albumThe future is looking bright for Sheeran as he is set to release his new album Play on Friday, September 12.This will mark his eighth studio record and kicks off a planned quintet of symbol-themed releases.Taking to Instagram, the crooner revealed: “Play was an album that was made as a direct response to the darkest period of my life.”Coming out of all of that I just wanted to create joy and technicolour, and explore cultures in the countries I was touring.Article continues below”I made this record all over the world, finished it in Goa, India, and had some of the most fun, explorative creative days of my life.”It’s a real rollercoaster of emotions from start to finish, it encapsulates everything that I love about music, and the fun in it, but also where I am in life as a human, a partner, a father.”Limitless is available to watch on Disney+. BBC Strictly star Stefan Dennis had little-known job that fans often forget about

Neighbours legend Stefan Dennis will be getting his dancing shoes on for Strictly Come Dancing, but fans may not know he also had another side-career in the past13:20, 15 Aug 2025Stefan Dennis is gearing up for the Strictly dancefloor(Image: Getty Images)Strictly Come Dancing is set to return next month for its 23rd series. And among the celebrities vying for the Glitterball Trophy this year is a face that Neighbours fans will instantly recognise. Stefan Dennis, who has played the notorious Paul Robinson since the soap’s debut in 1985, will be waltzing to the dance floor all the way from Ramsey Street. He will have to leave his villainous character behind as he competes for the Strictly title against a packed line-up including ex-Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison, Love Island winner Dani Dyer, and Team GB sprinter-turned-Gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey. It’s a challenge he’s eagerly anticipating. However, over on TikTok, fans are just discovering that Stefan once dabbled in a less well-known career and their reactions are priceless. In May 1989, the Aussie actor briefly ventured into the music industry with his dance track Don’t It Make You Feel Good. The song enjoyed moderate success, peaking at number 16 in the UK singles chart.Content cannot be displayed without consentAt the time, Stefan was among many Neighbours actors who crossed over into pop music, joining the likes of Jason Donovan and pop icon Kylie Minogue. But unlike the other two, he ended up becoming a one-hit wonder as his next single, This Love Affair, tanked.Article continues belowDon’t It Make You Feel Good has garnered mixed reviews over the years since its release and these contrasting opinions were clearly on show in a TikTok video posted by content creator Al Of Lancashire, who shares clips celebrating nostalgia from the 1980s and 1990s.In his video, he shared a snippet of Stefan’s music video and the comments erupted with reactions from obsessive devotion to pure mortification and utter confusion. One viewer questioned: “Is that George Michael?” while another said he delivered “Peter Dinklage vibes”, referencing the Game of Thrones star. A third observer joked: “He looks like he belongs in Buffy the Vampire Slayer in this video.”Others proved more brutal regarding Stefan’s hit. One declared: “OMG this was SO bad! I remember it and used to love singing the chorus cos it was so c**p!”He had one hit single in the UK in May 1989(Image: Tim Roney/Getty Images)But it wasn’t all bad news for the Aussie star, as one devoted supporter gushed: “One of my faves!!! Cheese upon cheese, and it’s epic! Have watched Neighbours since day one because of this man. Was rubbish when he left for a while.”Another person commented: “He was a good singer. He should of [sic.] made more songs”, while a third went so far as to liken him to another 1980s pin-up: “Australian David Hasselhoff.”Stefan enjoyed his brief music career alongside his first stint in Neighbours, which he left in 1992. He staged an impressive return 12 years later and has recently wrapped up filming the programme’s final episodes before it is axed on December. But would he ever contemplate a pop comeback? In 2021, he told Bang Showbiz that he wouldn’t be opposed to belting out a tune once more.Article continues belowHe expressed at the time: “I’d love to dust off the vocal cords. We have a very multi-talented group on the show at the moment who have the musical chops… and my good mate Alan Fletcher [who plays Karl Kennedy].”As for his forthcoming Strictly appearance, Stefan admitted to a mix of thrill and terror at the thought of performing the tango on the dance floor.Speaking to ITV’s This Morning on August 14, he confessed: “I’m very excited to be doing something completely and utterly out of my comfort zone but because of that, I’m petrified.” More

Inside Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall feud as And Just Like That ends

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall’s legendary feud flares again as And Just Like That ends, with behind-the-scenes tension and public digs keeping fans hooked11:41, 15 Aug 2025Updated 13:23, 15 Aug 2025(Image: WireImage)It’s been the topic on everyone’s lips since And Just Like That hit our screens – the tension between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall. And as the hit Sex and the City reboot wraps up, fans are left wondering have these two stars finally buried the hatchet, or is the feud still simmering? The friction between the pair dates back decades, and we’re about to dive into the thick of it…In 2017, following the death of Kim’s brother, she stunned fans by publicly rejecting Parker’s condolences, writing: “I don’t need your love or support. Please, just respect my privacy.”Sarah reportedly felt hurt but refrained from responding publicly, setting the tone for years of cold politeness rather than friendship. The pair were both part of Sex and the City(Image: Channel 4)Article continues belowRumours of tension on-set of the original Sex and the City series had also been bubbling for years. Reports suggested that Kim often clashed with Sarah over screen time and creative input, and that the two rarely socialised off-camera.According to insiders, the stars had disagreements over wardrobe choices, dialogue, and the direction of Samantha’s storylines which all continued into the reboot.During the filming of And Just Like That, the drama escalated further with Kim famously refused to return as Samantha Jones for the reboot, reportedly citing “creative differences” and a desire not to revisit old tensions. In response, the writers explained Samantha’s absence by having her move to London, a move that sparked speculation about whether the feud influenced major plot decisions. They have not been able to put their differences aside(Image: AFP/Getty Images)The former co-stars also rarely interact online, but every subtle interaction is thoroughly dissected by fans. Kim has publicly described Sarah as “not a friend” and “difficult,” but SJP has mainly stayed silent.Even at red carpets and premieres, fans have noted the cold shoulders and absence of camaraderie that once defined the pair’s iconic bond. With the series finale bringing closure to some storylines, insiders hint that behind-the-scenes tensions may have influenced the show’s direction. From rumoured disagreements on scripts to careful scene adjustments, the saga seems to have been as dramatic off-screen as on.Have you joined Threads?
