Telly comic Jimmy Carr compares Prince Harry to Kanye West over Nazis and ‘f***** up’

8 Out of 10 Cats host says Duke of Sussex is ‘very much our Kanye’ after runaway Royal wore Nazi garb for 2005 fancy dress bash and comes after multiple Grammy-winning rapper West shared pro-Nazi messages online19:58, 10 Aug 2025Updated 19:58, 10 Aug 2025Jimmy Carr poked fun of Prince Harry in his latest stand-up routine(Image: Channel 4)Telly comic Jimmy Carr has compared Prince Harry to Kanye West – saying both had ‘dressed up’ as Nazis and ‘f***** up’.The comedian and 8 Out of 10 Cats presenter took a pop at the Duke of Sussex in a clip of his stand-up routine which has gone viral. Carr, 52, was referring to Harry, 40, donning a Nazi costume for a fancy dress party in 2005. Multiple Grammy-winning rapper West, 48, has shared pro-Nazi messages online – though recently insisted he ‘renounced’ anti-Semitism.Carr’s gag was shared on his official Instagram account – which boasts 2.5million followers – captioned ‘Prince William Vs Prince Harry ’. He fired it off after an audience member asked which of the Royal brothers he preferred.Carr compared Prince Harry to Kanye West(Image: AFP via Getty Images)Carr said: “The Royal Family – well, if you can imagine, they’re like our Kardashians. Prince Harry is very much our Kanye. He occasionally dresses as a Nazi – and he f***** up.”Some backed the gag praising the comic for “quite a smart answer”. But others supported the prince. One said: “Harry just can’t catch a break, can he.” Another wrote: “You lost me. Harry is a treasure.”Harry has previously blamed the Prince and Princess of Wales for his Nazi gaffe at a fancy dress bash hosted by Olympic showjumper Richard Meade. In his book Spare the Duke of Sussex said he called his brother and sister-in-law for advice about whether to wear the Nazi uniform or a pilot’s outfit for the ‘Native and Colonial’ themed do.He wrote: “I phoned Willy and Kate, asked what they thought. Nazi uniform, they said. They both howled. Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point.”Photos of him in the outfit sparked international outrage for which then 20-year-old Harry apologised. He said: “I am very sorry if I have caused any offence or embarrassment to anyone. It was a poor choice of costume and I apologise.”Harry later admitted on Netflix dressing as a Nazi was one of the “biggest mistakes” of his life, adding all he “wanted to do was make it right”. He met then-Chief Rabbi the late Jonathan Sacks and spoke to a Holocaust survivor in a bid to repair the damage.Harry blamed the fashion faux pas on his brother(Image: Getty Images)In May Kanye – reality TV star Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband – sparked outrage by releasing a track called Heil Hitler (Hooligan Version). In 2022 he tweeted that he was going ‘death con 3 on Jewish people’ which led to him being dropped by his agency CAA, production company MRC, Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga. The Yeezy designer – who has worn swastika and ‘White Lives Matter’ t-shirts – has repeatedly spoken about his disdain for Jewish people and his adoration of Nazi Germany dictator Adolf Hitler. But the 24-time Grammy winning hip-hop star has since told his 69.4m followers on X: “I am done with antisemitism. God forgive me for the pain I’ve caused. I forgive those who have caused me pain. Thank you God.”He said he had rejected his Nazi persona after getting a “FaceTime from my kids”. “I wanna save the world again,” he added.Article continues belowPrince Harry’s representatives have been contacted for comment. For the latest breaking news stories and incredible tales from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here. Freddie Mercury ‘love of his life’, 74, speaks out on ‘fling’ and if he had secret child

Mary Austin, 74, tells of ‘total disbelief’ at claims legendary Queen frontman fathered youngster during ‘outrageous’ fling with close pal’s wife19:32, 10 Aug 2025Updated 19:34, 10 Aug 2025Freddie Mercury’s former girlfriend Mary Austin said it was ‘implausible’ the singer had a secret child(Image: Getty Images)The ‘love’ of Freddie Mercury’s life said it was “implausible” that he had a secret child. Mary Austin, 74, has told of her “total disbelief” of claims the legendary Queen frontman fathered the youngster accidentally during an “outrageous” fling with a close pal’s wife in 1976 – a year after the band’s iconic single Bohemian Rhapsody topped the charts.According to forthcoming book Love, Freddie the girl’s existence was a closely-guarded secret known only to Mercury’s inner circle of confidentes – including Mary whom the singer described as “the love of my life”.But Mary, 74, his former girlfriend and companion from their meeting in 1969 until his 1991 death, has denied any knowledge of the child.Mercury died in 1991(Image: Getty Images)She said: “I was named as a party to a story that spread across the world. And so, as I thought about it more, my disbelief turned into bewilderment as to how this story, referencing me, had hatched without a single person making contact with me first.”Despite it being claimed that I knew about the existence of a secret child and kept it secret not one person has attempted to contact me for a right of reply.”The book suggests Freddie, who died aged 45 of bronchial pneumonia caused by Aids, had an affair with a pal’s wife in 1976 resulting in the birth of a child known in the book only as ‘B’. It appears to rely on 17 volumes of diaries which it is said Freddie started writing when he found out he was going to be a dad and he later handed over to B.The book includes a letter from B – now 48 and a medical professional living in Europe – who said she “had a very close relationship” with her famous dad “from the moment I was born and throughout the final 15 years of his life”.She said he “entrusted his collection of private notebooks to me,” adding: “Mary Austin, the wonderful woman who was to all intents and purposes his wife until death parted them knew absolutely everything about him, including all his undisclosed secrets.”But Mary said: “The truth is that I am simply not the guardian of such a secret. I’ve never known of any child or of any diaries.”I have no knowledge of the diaries or them being ‘entrusted’ to a child. I was with him most days in the months before his death. If Freddie had indeed had a child without me knowing anything about it that would be astonishing to me.”She also had no knowledge of a claim Mercury – who was said to have left his “daughter” out of his will to safeguard her privacy – had gifted her a legacy through a “private legal arrangement” so no-one could find her. It’s claimed Freddie had an affair with a pal’s wife in 1976 (Image: Getty Images,BBC/Rogan Productions/Getty Images)Mary inherited his house and half his privately-owned shares. She said: “Freddie had a glorious openness and I cannot imagine he would have wanted to, or been able to, keep such a joyful event a secret, either from me or other people closest to him.”A child would have brought “tremendous joy to Freddie and everybody who cared about him” including his parents Bomi and Jer Bulsara who “would have embraced her with all the love in their hearts”.“But I do not remember Freddie ever speaking about creating a family,” Mary added. “It is hard for me to regard the claims as plausible – that Freddie was in the secret child’s life most days and Freddie had his own room at each of the houses she lived.”Not least in view of his incredibly hectic schedule and extent to which he is in the public eye.”She said she hoped publisher Whitefox had “rigorously investigated the veracity of the claims and satisfied itself this book aligns with its, and the industry’s, values and ethics”.”I had to say something to prevent my silence being interpreted as confirmation,” she said. “Speaking now is not a decision I have taken lightly. I wanted to carefully consider everything being said so I could approach the topic responsibly, most of all for Freddie, who is not here to speak for himself.”She is not the first to question the claims. Queen guitarist Brian May’s actress wife Anita Dobson has said: “It seems inconceivable he would have a child with someone we don’t know about.”Where is she? Step forward. If she exists.” Lesley-Ann Jones Austin, who has written the book, said she was “surprised” by Mary’s response.”I approached her for an interview countless times over many years but she never once responded,” she said. “Mary was not party to a secret that Freddie had a child? I do not suggest that she was. Nor do I suggest that she was aware of or was passed any diaries.”She said it was Freddie’s daughter’s claim – not her own – that Mary “knew absolutely everything about” the star. B – via Jones – said: “I am devastated by Mary Austin’s alleged response. For 34 years, the truth of Freddie’s life has been distorted, twisted and rewritten, but she said nothing.”Here, she has not yet read the book, yet she apparently makes this statement. I don’t understand why. There will be no further interviews.”Article continues belowA spokesman for the publisher said: “Whitefox takes issues of accuracy, legality and ethics seriously, and we work to ensure that any project we are involved with has been subject to appropriate editorial and legal scrutiny.”For the latest breaking news stories and incredible tales from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletter by clicking here. Channel 4 pulls ads from controversial Bonnie Blue porn doc as sponsor quits

Channel 4 has been dealt a huge blow after airing Bonnie Blue’s controversial doc 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story, with companies asking for their ads to be removed from it13:31, 10 Aug 2025Updated 13:33, 10 Aug 2025Bonnie Blue’s porn documentary has caused issues for Channel 4(Image: Channel 4)Channel 4 has withdrawn ads from its controversial Bonnie Blue doc which has sparked widespread fury. The adult star’s porn documentary, 1000 Men and Me, followed her in the run-up to her shocking stunt that involved her allegedly bedding 1,057 men in one day. It first aired last month and featured graphic sex scenes, nudity, and insight into her OnlyFans career. And it’s safe to say the doc caused uproar with a lot of viewers – and 160 complaints have been lodged to Ofcom. Some have fumed at the broadcaster for giving a platform to the divisive adult star, who has encouraged “barely legal” teens to participate in explicit content. And now Channel 4 has pulled all ads from the show after Ford, the primary sponsor of its documentaries, withdrew its branding from it. Last week, The Times reported that three companies – Visa and the drinks companies Diageo and Cawston Press – had requested their ads to stop appearing alongside the programme on Channel 4’s streaming service. The documentary has been met with a heavy backlash from viewers(Image: Channel 4)Ford’s branding continued to appear in all ad breaks and alongside an image of Bonnie Blue online. However, the car company has now decided to distance itself from the doc and has asked for all of its ads to be removed from it.According to The Times, Ford said: “[The branding] has been removed from the on-demand version at our request, so it doesn’t appear when being streamed. Otherwise, our sponsorship of C4 documentaries remains the same.”Ford have decided to cut ties with the doc and pulled its ads from it(Image: AP)Viewers can watch Bonnie Blue’s programme uninterrupted this weekend, which means Channel 4 will make no advertising revenue. Channel 4 said: “On review we have decided to cease carrying advertising around this documentary.”It said that before broadcast the documentary had been checked “to ensure advertising was suitable” and to “avoid inappropriate juxtapositions”.Bonnie Blue claims to have romped with over 1000 men in a day(Image: Channel 4)A Channel 4 spokesperson said in a statement: “We take great care to ensure that advertising is appropriately placed across all programming, particularly where content may be sensitive or potentially contentious.”In the case of 1000 Men and Me: The Bonnie Blue Story, the programme was reviewed in advance of transmission to ensure advertising was suitable. Several brands and categories were excluded to avoid inappropriate juxtapositions.”(Image: Drum)Channel 4’s commissioning editor, Tim Hancock, also addressed the film’s controversial subject matter. “I believe it is Channel 4’s job to tell stories like this that are at the edge of modern morality,” he said.Article continues below”I commissioned this documentary because Bonnie is the tip of a huge iceberg. Actor Kris Marshall, who played Humphrey Goodman in Death in Paradise, has opened up about his journey to stardom and one unfortunate experience he had before getting his break10:02, 10 Aug 2025Updated 10:03, 10 Aug 2025Kris Marshall was once fired from Iceland for a rather surprising reason(Image: BBC)Actor Kris Marshall has opened up about getting fired from his job before his big break. The star played Humphrey Goodman in Death in Paradise and has also appeared in major films like Love Actually and The Merchant of Venice. He’s now reprised his role as Humphrey in Death in Paradise spin-off, Beyond Paradise. But Kris worked a series of regular jobs before getting into TV and film – and not all of them went well. He has revealed details about his slightly bumpy journey to stardom. After being expelled from school, Kris was faced with a choice: retake his examinations or follow his acting dreams. He told The Guardian: “The only problem was, I had no idea how to get into the industry.(Image: BBC)”Instead, I worked the odd, crazy job to make ends meet – doing shifts in a toothpaste factory or in the laundry of an abattoir. That one was pretty grim – the smell will never leave me.He then confessed he was sacked from Iceland, continuing: “I was once fired from Iceland for wearing blue sunglasses on the till, and for a while, I knocked on the doors of people who hadn’t paid their TV licences,” reports the Express.(Image: BBC)Kris’ luck changed during his time working at a pub, where he met somebody from the entertainment industry. He started by touring the nation with stage shows before securing his first film role.”I went from hiding under my bed from the landlord because I couldn’t pay my rent, to flying over to the Toronto film festival to promote my first lead role in a film 18 months later,” he revealed. It was his roles in Love Actually and the sitcom My Family that truly launched him into the limelight.
