Marvel Rules Out Replacing Chadwick Boseman With CGI in 'Black Panther 2'

    Walt Disney Pictures

The upcoming ‘Black Panther’ sequel will not feature a digital version of the late actor as Marvel is taking a little time to see how they are going to honor the star.

    Nov 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Chadwick Boseman won’t feature in the forthcoming “Black Panther” sequel, Marvel officials have confirmed.
The late actor starred as the titular King T’Challa in the hit 2018 flick and had been due to reprise the role before his death following a private struggle with colon cancer earlier this year (20), aged 43.
Speaking to the Argentinian newspaper Clarin, as reported by The Wrap, Marvel’s Victoria Alonso affirmed, “No. There’s only one Chadwick and he’s not with us,” when asked about the prospect of a digital recreation of the star.
“Our king, unfortunately, has died in real life, not just in fiction, and we are taking a little time to see how we return to the story and what we do to honour this chapter of what has happened to us that was so unexpected, so painful, so terrible, really,” she stated.

“Because Chadwick was not only a wonder of a human being every day for the five years that we spent together,” added Alonso. “But it also seems to me that as a character what he did elevated us as a company and has left his moment in history.”
Boseman made his debut as the Black Panther in 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War”, and went on to reprise the role in “Black Panther”, “Avengers: Infinity War”, and 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame”.
“We have to think carefully about what we are going to do and how and think about how we are going to honour the franchise,” Alonso mused.
“Black Panther 2”, starring Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, and Letitia Wright, has a May, 2022 release date.

'The Batman' Facing New Setback as Stuntman Tests Positive for Covid-19

    Warner Bros. Pictures

The Caped Crusader movie reboot has allegedly suffered another setback on set after a stuntman was forced to enter quarantine as he tested positive for the deadly virus.

    Nov 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Filming for “The Batman” has reportedly suffered another setback after a stuntman tested positive for Covid-19.
Sources tell The Sun newspaper the performer, who is part of a bubble with nine other crew members, may not return to set until 2021 as they all quarantine ahead of the Christmas break.
According to reports, the main cast, including star Robert Pattinson, and the film’s crew are unaffected by the positive test. However, they admitted it’s still “pretty disastrous.”
“The Batman”, which sees Pattinson take on the role of the Caped Crusader, has already faced heavy delays after production was suspended in March for six months amid the pandemic.

Further delays occurred when work resumed after Pattinson was reportedly diagnosed with the coronavirus and forced off set.
Filming for The Batman, which now has a March, 2022 release date, is ongoing at Warner Bros. Studios in Hertfordshire, England. Zoe Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell also appear, with Matt Reeves directing the flick.
Movie and TV industry have been struggling to adapt to post-coronavirus world since lockdown was first imposed earlier this year. Many projects were either pushed back or called off as the industry was brought to a standstill due to the worldwide pandemic.
James Bond flick “No Time to Die”, Marvel’s “Wonder Woman 1984”, Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune”, Kenneth Branagh’s “Death on the Nile”, Ryan Reynolds’ “Free Guy”, and more movies have been delayed due to the ongoing worldwide health crisis.

Michael Moore Rules Out Making Donald Trump Documentary: No One Wants to See It

    WENN

The Oscar-winning documentarian rules out making a documentary about the MAGA leader because he believes no one wants to relive the past four years of Trump’s presidency.

    Nov 15, 2020
AceShowbiz – Oscar-winning documentarian Michael Moore won’t revisit Donald Trump’s presidency anytime soon.
The filmmaker appeared on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Thursday (12Nov20) night and celebrated the election results, as he discussed his letter to President-Elect Joe Biden.
“He’s a man of faith and that is going to serve us very well,” Moore explained, adding he’s feeling “really good” about Joe Biden being declared the president-elect over Trump.
He went on to share his belief that the country is “on guard” given “Trump is once again not dealing with reality” as the businessman refuses to accept defeat.

“I never take anything for granted when it comes to him,” Moore said, adding that it’s conspicuous everyone is “justifiably nervous about getting through these next 69 days.”
Moore may not be a stranger to taking on politics in his documentaries, but he’s adamant a Trump-centred film isn’t on his agenda, insisting, “I would not make that film in part because who would want to watch a film that showed you the last four years?”
“The worst thing I could do to people is show them the last four years,” he quipped, affirming that the beginning of a four year term for Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris has symbolised a “positive sign” for the nation.

“We are going to be in the polar opposite era than the four years that we just went through,” he smiled.

AceShowbiz – Chris Pratt will reprise his Star-Lord character for the latest “Thor” movie, according to Variety reports.

The film is set for release in February, 2022.
The plot is still kept under wraps, but former Batman star Christian Bale is added to the cast ensemble as the main baddie. The movie is expected to be based on the graphic novel “The Mighty Thor”, which sees Jane Foster battling breast cancer and turning into the female version of Thor.
Portman confirmed it, “I’m really excited. I’m starting to train, to get muscles. If there can be all these female superheroes, the more of them they are, the better it is. Ludacris Under Fire for 'Propaganda' Film 'The Ride' About Real-Life White Supremacist

    Outsider Pictures

Twitter users are not impressed that the ‘Fast and Furious’ actor stars in the movie about an interracial couple fostering a troubled teen who was raised as a white supremacist.

    Nov 14, 2020
AceShowbiz – While racism still becomes a concerning issue among black community in the U.S., Ludacris’ new movie “The Ride” seems to be trying to show that there’s goodness to be found in a hater. The film, which premiered on Amazone Prime this Friday, November 13, is based on a real-life story of an interracial couple fostering a troubled teen who was raised as a white supremacist.
The rapper-turned-actor plays one-half of the couple, who decides to help the violent teen by becoming his foster parents. Over time, their shared bond and moments change the young man’s perspective and he sheds his racist ways.
Despite the heart-warming storyline that seems to end on a good note, people were not impressed that they’ve decided to capitalize on such story. Others accused that they made the movie to make white people less guilty about the oppression suffered by black people at their hands.
Taking to Twitter, these critics have sounded off their issues with “The Ride” and most of them picked on Ludacris for being part of it. “Something sick about these young black rappers being stuck in the violence of poverty as older rappers court capitalists and shame them. Still can’t believe ludacris made a feel good movie with about white supremacy,” one person wrote.
Another shared his dilemma that while he agrees with helping a troubled teen like John McCord (Shane Graham) in the movie, he’s not into turning the story into a film. “People are s**tting on that new ludacris movie and it’s justified but I don’t agree with the whole not helping these teens that get into those white supremacist groups. I’ve legit had to help some kids leave that anti sjw type of racism. Probably woulda been skinheads later on,” the said person opined. “Making it into a movie so white people can feel good is corny though.”

      See also…

Calling it a propaganda to suppress the protests against racism, a third user marveled, “Has Hollywood ever produced worse propaganda than this?” Another echoed the sentiment, “Burden, The Blind Side, Best of Enemies and now that bs with Ludacris … The Ride? for the love of everything that is actually progressive, let de racist pacification propaganda END PLS.”
“Who in the world is gonna see this? Gay BMX side storyline. And when I see Ludacris I think of him in Crash where he had some anti white lines about how they think blacks will steal from them, and then he stole their car lmao,” another brutally slammed the movie.
“This entire movie sounds like tone-deaf garbage. Imagine trying to engage in apologetics for white supremacists when they’re responsible for almost all domestic terrorism in America. Ludacris is an idiot for this,” another added.
Someone else blasted Ludacris as tweeting, “@Ludacris Complete disappointed Fan, this ain’t a bridge to gap! This is coonin They steal and kill Our Children, theirs Kill Us and go to Burger King. Ludacris Takes In Kid Raised As A White Supremacist In New Movie ‘The Ride,’ Twitter Already Says We Good.”
Ludacris has not responded to the backlash over his new movie. Earlier this month, he appeared to be proud of “The Ride” as he reposted the trailer on his Twitter page and wrote along with it, “One choice changed his life, one family changed his heart. Based on the inspiring true story, featuring The Ride stars Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, Shane Graham and Sasha Alexander is available on Amazon Prime November 13!”
