Adam Levine Cuts to the Chase in Grammy Nominations Debate

    Instagram

The Maroon 5 frontman refuses to join in the conversation about who deserves to get nominated for the prestigious music awards, telling his fans to focus on ‘someone you love’ instead.

    Nov 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Adam Levine could not care less about the debate surrounding 2021 Grammy Awards. The Maroon 5 frontman refused to join in the conversation about who deserves to get nominated for the prestigious music awards after the Recording Academy came under fire following the Grammys’ nominations announcement.
Making use of Instagram Story, the 41-year-old shared his thought on the matter along with a mirror selfie wherein he wore a colorful outfit and a pair of pink shoes. “I’ve decided that people either love or hate the Grammys too much,” he stated. “Seriously, who gives a f**k either way?” Instead, he encouraged his followers to “go hug someone you love.”

Adam Levine urged fans to ‘hug someone’ they love instead of debating over 2021 Grammy Awards nominations.

Adam’s statement came after a number of artists criticized the Grammys over its selections for the upcoming ceremony. One in particular was The Weeknd who made use of Twitter and Instagram to attack the awards show officials for snubbing him. “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency,” he declared in the Tuesday, November 24 post.
Following in the footsteps of The Weeknd was Teyana Taylor. She let out her annoyance on Twitter after failing to shortlist among male artists in the Best R&B Album category. “Y’all was better off just saying best MALE R&B ALBUM cause all I see is d**k in this category (sic),” she complained.
Kehlani, on the other hand, shared a similar response with Adam. Although she also failed to land nods, she refused to get upset. In response to a fan’s urging, she stated, “HA! i don’t think anyone should ever be mad about these things. we are all hella blessed to do what we do and have so many fans affirming us daily, at shows, when we drop projects! stress makes you sick why you want me to be mad pookiepie (sic)!!”
2021 Grammy Awards aside, Adam has won three Grammys in the past. He secured the Best New Artist trophy with his band in 2004, as well as two other wins for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for “This Love” and “Makes Me Wonder” in 2005 and 2007 respectively.

  • Adam Levine Slams 'War on Marijuana' Due to Racial Bias in Maroon 5's 'Nobody's Love' Video

The band call for the end of ‘war on marijuana’ because they believe it failed to reduce the marijuana use and, instead, it’s carried out with ‘staggering racial bias.’
    Jul 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Maroon 5’s music video for their new single “Nobody’s Love” ends with a message about ending the “war on marijuana.”
The band dropped their new video on Thursday (23Jul20), which features frontman Adam Levine rolling and smoking a joint.
At the end of the video, a message from the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) is shown, which reads, “It’s time to end the War on Marijuana. The aggressive enforcement of marijuana possession laws needlessly ensnares hundreds of thousands of people into the criminal justice system and wastes billions of taxpayers’ dollars.”
“What’s more, it is carried out with staggering racial bias. Despite being a priority for police departments nationwide, the War on Marijuana has failed to reduce marijuana use and availability and diverted resources that could be better invested in our communities.”

In a statement, Maroon 5 and Interscope Records said they would be making a donation to Southern California’s ACLU branch.
The video for “Nobody’s Love” was helmed by “Wedding Crashers” director David Dobkin, who has frequently collaborated with Maroon 5 over the years. It was shot on an Apple iPhone, and features Levine as the sole member of the group shown in the video.

Levine, in particular, reportedly told the audience who tried to sing along, “Well, if you want to do my job, go ahead.” He was also captured on camera backstage, complaining, “That was a TV show! … That was not a concert.”

Now all of Chile is united in their hatred toward this band. Good.”

    Feb 27, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nick Jonas learned he had spinach in his teeth during his Grammy Awards comeback performance from Adam Levine.
The star and his Jonas Brothers bandmates Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas wowed the crowd when they performed their track “What a Man Gotta Do” at the ceremony last month (January), but the singer was embarrassed when he discovered he had been making headlines for all the wrong reasons.
And Jonas admitted he’s “annoyed” no one informed him of the dental snafu before the cameras caught it.
“Here’s the thing that’s really frustrating about this, OK? First of all, there was spinach in my teeth from my breakfast, which I ate hours before. So the entire day, no one thought to be like, ‘Hey man, there’s something back there,’ ” he said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon”.
After the Jonas Brothers left the stage, their manager gave Nick the bad news, leading him to check his phone – where he found a message from Adam Levine.
“We were really excited because the performance went pretty well and it was like our Grammy moment. Our return,” Nick added. “I was so amped and I was like, ‘What’d you think?’ and he’s like, ‘Well, just don’t check (texts on phone)!’ ”
He immediately checked his phone only to discover a teasing text from the Maroon 5 frontman.
