    Report: Evelyn Lozada to Return for 'Basketball Wives' Season 9

    AceShowbiz – Evelyn Lozada is back! A new report suggests that the VH1 personality is returning for season 9 of the network’s reality show “Basketball Wives” though she previously hinted at her departure.
    According to The Jasmine Brand, the ex-wife of Chad Ochocinco is not only tapped to appear in the upcoming season, she has already started filming her episodes.
    Evelyn previously sparked speculations that season 8 might be her last. During a Q&A session on her Instagram account in February, the TV star talked about whether or not she would be returning for upcoming 9th season of “Basketball Wives”. Judging from her answer, however, fans seemingly wouldn’t be able to see her on the show. “Most likely no,” she replied.
    At that time, fans rejoiced knowing that she wouldn’t return. “She doesn’t have an interesting storyline.. honestly. The drama gets old,” one commenter wrote. Someone else thought that Ogom “OG” Chijindu, with whom she’s beefing on the show, made her leave the show. “Oh now she don’t wanna be on basketball wives! OG ran her away lmao.”
    “The crying outweighed the laughter but you reached out to the person that made you so miserable to get back at OG… make it make sense,” another person said.
    In the second part of season 8 reunion of “Basketball Wives”, Evelyn was arguing with OG, who decided to go back to the filming site after refusing to film separately from the other ladies. The episode saw the former Legends Football League cornerback confronting Evelyn Lozada for using N-word when she’s not black.
    “I’ve witnessed Evelyn using N-word. I just think it’s disrespectful, you know. Being African, being black, it’s not a game. You don’t get to use these type of words to try to fit in,” she said while sitting in a different room. “I think it’s a blatant slap in the face when someone who’s not black says it.”
    “She’s not Afro-Latina. She never claimed it,” she added. “Evelyn has been on the show for eight years and never talked about Puerto Rico until last year when I was talking about Nigeria and I found it very interesting that she went on this Puerto Rican parade and wanted to find her ancestors.”
    Evelyn later explained, “I grew up in New York City and I was born in Brooklyn, raised in the Bronx where you rub elbows with all races. So, whether you’re black, Dominican, whatever, we’re the same.” She also said that “25% of my bloodline comes from Africa.” The answer didn’t change OG’s mind though, as she insisted that Evelyn is not black.

      AceShowbiz – Tami Roman exited “Basketball Wives” last season due to the tension between her and former co-star and friend Shaunie O’Neal. People seem to be curious about the current state of her relationship with Shaunie, and Tami addressed the matter in a recent interview.
      Stopping by Keyshia Cole’s “Fox Soul”, Tami explained, “I thought in my mind that we were close. I thought that we had a camaraderie and sisterhood and mutual respect for each other.” Speaking of her shocking exit at the end of season 8 of the hit VH1 reality show, Tami added, “I found out over the past three seasons that the lack of friendship was shown rather than the sisterhood as it pertained to me, which was unfortunate because I care for Shaunie.”
      “I think that when I went back to the show, ‘Basketball Wives LA’ in 2015, I thought that cast was great. We had [Mehgan James], and we had [Brandi Maxiell], we had [Malaysia Pargo], [Jackie Christie]. I thought it was great. And then 2016 entered what I like to call the demon seed,” she continued.
      Seemingly alluding that Evelyn Lozada was the reason behind her fall-out with Shaunie, Tami shared, “The whole dynamic changed. And for me, it was just not a happy place to be once she returned. And this is no secret. She doesn’t like me, she never has liked me, I tried to be friends, and so now I’ve accepted that she doesn’t like me, so now I don’t like you.”

      “I tried numerous times. I really truly did, and to find out that there were a lot of workings going on behind the scenes and emails being sent and negative, derogatory things being said about my health and my miscarriages all the way up to the network executives, I felt like at that point, that was crossing a line for me. So there was no way we could have ever worked together, for me,” she continued.

      AceShowbiz – Evelyn Lozada is in the mood of spilling some tea. The “Basketball Wives” star recently answered some inquiries from her fans during a Q&A session on her Instagram account.
      The VH1 star received so many wide-ranging questions from her relationship with fellow “Basketball Wives” cast members to her next plan for the show. “Are you & Shaunie good??” one fan asked, referring to “BBW” executive producer and co-star Shaunie O’Neal. In response, Evelyn gushes over the ex-wife of Shaquille O’Neal, saying that she’s her “bestie for life.”
      Another asked if she ever missed her ex-husband, former NFL star Chad Ochocinco. “Do you ever miss Chad…it honestly seems like he used to make you laugh all the time?” the question read. She replied, “The crying outweighed the laughter & no everyone has moved one.”
      Someone else asked if she planned to get married again, and Evelyn said, “Yes!!!! This would be my first! Not sure what that other BS was.” That opened another question that read, “Are you still single?” She said, “No,” alongside a sticking out tongue emoji.
      However, Evelyn made it clear that the new man wasn’t her ex-fiance, former MLB star Carl Crawford. “LOL! No,” she responded to a fan who asked if they would ever get back together. “But we’re cool friends and we love & adore.”
