While he is forced to reschedule his summer trek to 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic, the One Direction member expresses his support to the Black Lives Matter protests.
    Jun 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Harry Styles has postponed his 2020 North American tour dates so he can spend more time educating himself about how he can help end racism.
The pop star has been deeply moved by the Black Lives Matter protests across America following the death of George Floyd, and admits that factored into his decision to shift his summer tour to 2021.
“This summer we were excited to be bringing Love on Tour to North America,” he says in a statement. “However, due to the ongoing threat from COVID-19 we have been forced to reschedule these dates to next summer. The well-being of my crew and all the fans around the world will always hold top priority. I can’t wait to see you all out on the road as soon as it’s safe to do so.”
The shows were scheduled to begin in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 26 and feature special guests Jenny Lewis and Orville Peck.
“We are in a moment of necessary change and growth in the world,” Harry added. “I will be using this time to listen and to educate myself on how I can help more in the fight for justice and equal rights for all in the future. I hope that you will take the time to do the same. Treat people with kindness. I love you all.”

Styles’ U.S. “Love on Tour” dates will now begin in Washington on August 14, 2021.

Harry Styles Stresses Importance Not to Force Lizzo Collaboration

    WENN/Instar

Both the ‘Lights Up’ singer and the ‘Truth Hurts’ hitmaker have expressed admiration for each other, but he sets the record straight on talks about their potential duet.
    Mar 12, 2020
AceShowbiz – Harry Styles doesn’t want to “force” a collaboration with Lizzo, despite his love for the U.S. star’s music.
The “Lights Up” hitmaker and the “Truth Hurts” singer have both expressed admiration for each other and delighted fans by cementing their friendship by laughing and joking together at last month’s (February) BRIT Awards.
However, Harry says speculation about a potential duet may be a little premature, as he wants to wait for the right song to come along.
“It’s kind of one of those things where any time two people say they like each other’s stuff, everybody goes, ‘oh you should collaborate,'” the 26-year-old tells New Zealand’s “The Project” TV show.
“I’m a really big fan of hers and if there was a time when something made sense and we wanted to do something together that would be amazing, but I think it’s probably important not to force stuff together.”
In the interview Styles also said he wants to host TV shows as well as make new music – and is willing to give host “The Project” when he visits the country on tour in November.

“I’m big into the hosting now and I’m trying to add another string to my bow,” the British musician adds. “So yeah, if you’d have me that would be wonderful.”

Harry Styles Regrets Staying in His Comfort Zone on Debut Solo Album

    WENN/Ivan Nikolov

The former One Direction member wishes he’d stepped out of his comfort zone when he first launched his solo career back with a self-titled album in 2017.
    Mar 1, 2020
AceShowbiz – Harry Styles has described his self-titled debut album as “bowling with the bumpers up,” admitting he wishes he hasn’t played it so safe.
The former One Direction star released his solo effort in 2017 to rave reviews and, with 2019’s follow-up, “Fine Line”, he took a less restrictive approach when it came to writing and recording the album.
Speaking to National Public Radio (NPR), the “Adore You” hitmaker reflected on his development as an artist, and confessed he would tell his younger self, “Don’t worry.”
“I’m trying to let go of the worrying thing, and that’s what I’ve loved the most about this album, rather than the first one I think I had a lot of fear – whether it was conscious or subconsciously – just about getting it wrong,” he explained. “When I listen back to the first album now, although I still love it so much, I feel like I was almost bowling with the bumpers up a little bit. I can hear places where I was playing it safe.”
Harry added that, despite the fact his debut album, “wasn’t necessarily a radio record… people came to see the show, (and) I realised that the only thing that people really want is for you to do what you want to do.”
“I think the only time people go, ‘You know what? I’m done with this,’ is when it stops being authentic,” he mused.
Harry will promote his new record with his Love On Tour jaunt, which opens in Birmingham, England on April 15, 2020.
