    Rachael Leigh Cook Gets Involved With 'She's All That' Remake

    Having starred in the original 1999 movie opposite Freddie Prinze Jr., the ‘Love, Guaranteed’ actress will be joining ‘He’s All That’ as the mother of Addison Rae’s character.

    AceShowbiz – Rachael Leigh Cook is enjoying a full circle moment as the mum of Addison Rae’s character in the “She’s All That” revamp.
    The actress starred in the 1999 romantic comedy, opposite Freddie Prinze Jr., and now she’s coming back for more after signing on for “He’s All That”, according to TMZ.

    Of joining the new project, Rachael said in a press release, “I’m thrilled to be reunited with so many familiar faces!” She went on saying, “This version has a great new spin that I think people will really enjoy.”
    In the original film, Rachael played a nerdy art student loner who becomes the subject of a high school prom bet between jocks played by Freddie and the late Paul Walker.
    In the new movie, Rae’s character accepts the challenge to turn a dork into a high school prom prince. Also starring in the flick are Tanner Buchanan, Madison Pettis, Petyon Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Annie Jacob and Myra Molloy.
    Of starring alongside Addison, Tanner shared, “She really came into this movie with so much drive, hard work and passion to show her abilities as an actor.”
    Sharing a little of the plot, Tanner said “that the gender roles are reversed” in the movie. “That the girl is the one ‘making over’ the guy,” he noted. “In reality, they’re both making over each other into better people, like in She’s All That. It really holds true to the original story, but is just updated in a way that feels current … cell phones and social media are pretty integral parts of our lives now!”

      The ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ member is officially announced to join her beastie, TikTok star Addison Rae, in the upcoming movie reboot ‘He’s All That’.

      AceShowbiz – Kourtney Kardashian will star opposite BFF Addison Rae in upcoming reboot “He’s All That”.
      The mother-of-three announced her latest gig in a post on her Instagram page as she shared a snap of herself in bed reading a script and wrote alongside it, “studying @hesallthatmovie.”
      Addison then commented on Kourtney’s post, writing, “worrkkkkkkk.”
      Following the Instagram interaction, the “He’s All That” official account reshared Kourtney’s picture on their page, and revealed the reality star’s character name in the movie.
      “Introducing Jessica Miles Torres #HesAllThat,” they wrote.

      The pair will appear alongside “Cobra Kai” star Tanner Buchanan in the gender-bending remake of Rachael Leigh Cook’s 1999 classic “She’s All That”.
      R. Lee Fleming, the screenwriter behind the original, is working on the remake, in which Rae will play a popular high schooler, who takes on a challenge to turn a loser into a prom king.
      “He’s All That” won’t be Kourtney’s first acting role – she made her acting debut on soap opera “One Life to Live” in 2011.
      Kourtney’s casting news comes as her family reality TV show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” is coming to an end.
      As the ratings are declining, the show will not return to TV after the current season concludes.
      The matriarch and momager Kris Jenner blamed social media for the ‘KUWTK” ending. “When we first started, there was no Instagram or Snapchat or other social media platforms,” she claimed. “The world has changed. Now there are so many, the viewer doesn’t have to wait three or four months to see an episode. We can give them all of the information anyone would ever want to know in real time.”
      Rumor has it, the family are eying to take the show to streaming service after being abandoned by E!.

      The highest-earning TikTok personality in 2020 will make her acting debut in ‘He’s All That’, which has ‘Freaky Friday’ helmer Mark Waters on board to serve as director.

      AceShowbiz – Addison Rae of TikTok fame is branching out to the big screen. The popular social media personality is set to make her acting debut in “He’s All That”, the gender-flipping reboot of the 1999 teen classic “She’s All That”.
      The upcoming movie will re-imagine the original plot and be told from a teenage girl’s point of view. Rae is taking on the role of Freddie Prinze Jr.’s Zackary Siler, who in the original film boasts he could make any girl in school popular after being dumped by his girlfriend.
      The contemporary story will follow an influencer who decides to avenge herself by accepting a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser into prom king after her boyfriend turns her into a laughing stock.
      The reboot has Mark Waters, the director behind young-adult films like “Mean Girls”, “Freaky Friday” and “Vampire Academy”, on board to serve behind the lens, with the script written by original screenwriter R. Lee Fleming. “She’s All That” producers Jennifer Gigbot and Andrew Panay, meanwhile, return to produce the upcoming film. Miramax, the studio that released the original movie, will produce the upcoming version as well.
      “This reboot is a welcomed step towards a new generation of Miramax storytelling, part of our greater strategy to leverage our existing library with fresh, re-imagined content in both film and TV,” said Miramax CEO Bill Block in a statement to Variety, which first reported the news.
      The original “She’s All That” was directed by Robert Iscove and starred Rachael Leigh Cook in the female lead role. The film received mixed reviews from critics, who praised the performances of the lead actors, but were critical of the script. It was one of the most popular teen films of the late 1990s.
      As for Rae, she has amassed 60 million followers on TikTok, making her the second-most followed person on the social media platform. The 19-year-old Lafayette native has moved to Los Angeles as her popularity skyrocketed. In August 2020, she was named as the highest-earning TikTok personality by Forbes.
