AceShowbiz – “Wicked” stars Idina Menzel and Megan Hilty have shared a virtual duet of the musical’s hit song “For Good” to honour students missing out on their 2020 graduation ceremonies.
The show’s original Elphaba and Hilty, who took over the role of Glinda on Broadway in 2005, released their special lockdown version of the tune for school and college graduates, writing, “Over the last few years you have made friends and memories that have changed you for the better. We now hope you go out there and change the world for good. This is for you.”
Sharing the post on her own Instagram page on Thursday, June 11, 2020, “Smash” star Hilty added the caption, “To the class of 2020, the world needs you now more than ever. We hope you now help make a change, for good. Congratulations to you all…”

Graduates were forced to miss physical ceremonies in recent weeks due to coronavirus restrictions, prompting a series of online events to mark their achievements. The biggest one, held over the weekend, June 7, 2020, was led by former U.S. leader Barack Obama and his wife Michelle.
