AceShowbiz – Music veteran James Taylor is stepping into the world of reality TV by joining America’s “The Voice” as a Mega Mentor.
The “You’ve Got a Friend” hitmaker will share his expertise with the four remaining contenders on the current 18th season of the talent competition, starting with the pre-taped episode set to air on 13 April.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame star’s appearance on “The Voice” was revealed at the end of a new promo, in which coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Nick Jonas, and Blake Shelton pass on the identity of the Mega Mentor by whispering it to one another.
Country singer Shelton is featured at the end of the line, and confusingly asks, “Elizabeth Taylor?”, before being corrected by Legend.
The 72 year old follows in the footsteps of another Taylor – Taylor Swift – who served as season 17’s Mega Mentor.
