  • Kelsea Ballerini Keeps Looking for New Way to Grow as Musician

    WENN

The ‘Miss Me More’ singer will ‘never be content’ when it comes to her music as she continues to push herself and figure out a new creative way to make a better record.
    Sep 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kelsea Ballerini will “never be content” when it comes to her singing career, and is always finding new ways “to grow.”
The 27 year old performed at the ACM (Academy of Country Music) Awards on Wednesday night (15Sep20), belting out her song “Hole in the Bottle”.
And in an interview with People magazine at the ceremony about her hopes for the future, Kelsea explained she just wants to “keep making good music.”
“I want to keep looking at whatever’s next and thinking that it’s better than what I did before,” she said. “That’s been another good part of this year – having the time to write and figure out other ways to get creative. I just want to keep pushing myself. I’m never content, which I probably should get better at, but I’m always wanting to grow. Hopefully, I just make a better record.”
Kelsea’s performance at the event came from an empty Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, with the ceremony looking vastly different this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
But taking to the stage without a crowd to perform to was equally nerve-wracking for the “Miss Me More” star.
“I haven’t been on stage in a long time so I was rusty. Even with no audience, I still had the jitters,” she smiled. “All three venues for this show – the Opry, the Ryman and the Bluebird – they all have such significance and such legendary ties to them. To be able to highlight these venues that haven’t had a lot of live music in them recently is special.”

  • Kelsea Ballerini Disappointed by CMA Awards Snub

    WENN

The ‘Like Me Like You Mean It’ singer admits she feels disappointed as she’s being overlooked by Country Music Association for this year’s CMA Awards nominations.
    Sep 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – Country star Kelsea Ballerini is confident her “current disappointment” at her lack of Country Music Association Awards nominations will inspire her to create “something beautiful.”
The shortlist for the 2020 ceremony was unveiled on Tuesday (01Sep20), and for the first time in her career, the singer was completely shut out – including in the Female Vocalist of the Year category, in which she had been nominated for the past five years.
Ballerini admits the news left her a little sad, but she is determined to bounce back stronger than ever – just like she did when she was snubbed at the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards.
Referencing that occasion, she tweeted, “last time this happened, I wrote (the single) homecoming queen the next day about the feeling. something beautiful will undoubtedly come from the current disappointment.”
“Nonetheless, congratulations to my friends & peers that got nominations (sic). proud to be a part of the country family, always.”
Ballerini was flooded with messages of encouragement from fans and friends alike, including fellow country star Kane Brown, who also failed to land any CMA nominations.
“Hold your head up,” he commented before appearing to react to his own awards snub by remaining optimistic.
“Good morning!” Brown wrote. “Today’s gonna be a great freaking day! Enjoy.”
Miranda Lambert, Luke Combs, and Maren Morris lead the nominations for the 2020 CMA Awards, set to take place in November (20).

Kelsea Ballerini Ensures New Album Will Come Out as Planned Despite Cancellation of Promotion

    Instagram

In a video message she posted on social media, the ‘Peter Pan’ singer expresses her belief that ‘music can bring a lot of peace when things feel really unsettled.’
    Mar 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kelsea Ballerini has been left disappointed after having to cancel a host of plans she’d made to support the release of her new album due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The 24-year-old singer is dropping her new album “Kelsea” on Friday, March 20, and had been scheduled to make several pit stops to promote the release.
But as concerns about Covid-19 continue to swirl, and more and more people make the decision to self-isolate or practise social distancing, Kelsea has made the tough decision to axe the plans.
“So friends, my album still comes out Friday, which I am so excited about, more than I can even say,” she said in a video message posted on Instagram. “However, this week is going to look a lot different than we had planned for and hoped for and dreamed up. I really wanted there to be so many moments and opportunities for me, face to face, to play these songs for you for the first time, and hug as many of you as possible.”
“But, what I care about more than that is everyone staying safe and staying healthy, so a lot of our plans have changed. The silver lining is, I feel and really believe that music can bring a lot of peace when things feel really unsettled, and it can make you feel calm when life feels chaotic.”
The “Yeah Boy” star continued to tell fans she’s hoping to “bring all of our plans back to life” at some point in the future.”

“It’s just not in the timeline that we had pictured,” she admitted. “But I love you guys, and I can’t wait to hear what you think about this album. Please stay safe, and I’ll be around on the social medias, so just holler. You have a friend. Album comes out Friday. Stay safe, guys.”
