    Instagram

Expressing his disappointment over not being honored at the award-giving event, which sees Drake leading the nominees with 6 nods, the ‘Eternal Atake’ star took to his Twitter account to rant.
    Jun 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – The 2020 BET Awards announced its nominees on Monday, June 15. Drake led the pack with six nominations, while newcomers Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch picked up five apiece. Fans might expect to see Lil Uzi Vert among the list, but he scored zero nod, much to fans and the rapper’s dismay.
Expressing his disappointment over not being honored at the award-giving event, the “Eternal Atake” star took to his Twitter account to rant. “Y’all see how they do ya boy,” so he wrote cryptically.
In another post, the Philadelphia rapper went on to share his opinion on why he had no nominations at the BET Awards. “Its because I don’t follow the Rules of HipHop. Its boring,” Uzi, whose every single song from his “Eternal Atake” album and the deluxe charted on the Billboard Hot 100, tweeted.

Lil Uzi Vert appeared to be pissed off over 2020 BET Awards snub.
Fans echoed his sentiment as one commented, “UZI GOT ROBBED,” alongside a screenshot of the nominees for Best Male Hip-Hop artist. Among those who are up for the category are DaBaby, Drake, Future, Lil Baby, Roddy Ricch and Travis Scott (II). “Uzi deserves to be there over all of these aritists smh. 2020 has been his year,” another one added.
“They boolin uzi has the better first week album sales then all them,” someone else wrote. Also being not happy with the nominees, another person said, “why are Drake DaBaby and Travis on that list lmao what have they done this year.” Meanwhile, another comment read, “Travis Scott hasnt even released anything this year wtf Uzi dropped 2 albums with record breaking numbers there biased.”
Another fan appeared to try to be positive. “Uzi doesn’t need BET, he gonna win a Grammy,” the optimistic fan said.
The 20th annual BET Awards is scheduled take place on 28 June. Organisers have confirmed the event will be going ahead, despite the restrictions linked to the COVID-19 pandemic, stating they will be using “an array of innovative techniques and artist-generated content.”

Lil Uzi Vert Appears to Sarcastically Laugh at Playboi Carti's New Song

    Twitter/Instagram

This arrives after the Philadelphia rapper blatantly calls the song ‘Just Meh’ on Twitter as soon as it was released in addition to clowning his longtime collaborator for his tweet.
    Apr 18, 2020
AceShowbiz – Playboi Carti is poised to release his highly-anticipated album “Whole Lotta Red” soon, but before that happens, he treated his fans to a fresh single titled “@ MEH” on Thursday, April 16. The responses were pretty much mixed, and among the critics was Carti’s alleged foe Lil Uzi Vert.
Uzi appeared to react sarcastically to Carti’s new song in a recent post on his Twitter account on Friday, April 17. He’s been doing some sort of things to taunt Carti. That included laughing at a good review of “@ MEH” from Maaly Raw, who praised the song by tweeting, “New Carti S**t Slap.” Seemingly thinking that it was ridiculous, Uzi responded to the tweet with a single laughing and crying emoji.

Lil Uzi Vert laughed at Playboi Carti’s new song.
This arrives after Uzi blatantly called the song “Just Meh” as soon as it was released. The Philadelphia rapper also clowned Carti for his tweet when he announced the release date of his new album. “MoNDay,” so Carti wrote on his account. Shortly after, Uzi followed it up with the exact same message on his own page.
Uzi also hinted that he would sabotage Carti’s upcoming album. “Soon as HE drop imma drop again,” he said.
The whole thing between Uzi and Carti unsurprisingly confused fans, who were wondering if the beef between Uzi and his longtime collaborator was real or if they were playing around. “IS CARTI AND UZI BEEFING OR ARE THEY COLLABING I NEED ANSWERS,” one frustrated fan asked.
Another confused fan added, “Uzi is bullying the f**k outta this n***a carti bro what is happening right now.” Meanwhile, one comment read, “Me trynna figure out if Uzi and Carti beefing or not.”
Carti has yet to comment on the supposed disses.

Lil Uzi Vert Urges Fans to Stop Being Petty With Ebro Darden Over 2016 Diss

    WENN/Instagram

The media executive and radio personality himself acknowledges Uzi’s success on his Twitter post, though he appears to credit himself for the excellent outcome.
    Mar 20, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lil Uzi Vert is no longer holding grudge against media executive and radio personality Ebro Darden, who used to doubt his career longevity. Following his huge success with “Eternal Atake”, many of his fans were slamming Ebro for his incorrect prediction.
This all started after Ebro made a comment on the then-25-year-old rapper during his interview with HOT 97 back in 2016. At the time, he told Uzi that the rising rap artists such as the latter might find success. However, he would struggle by the age of 27 or 28. Uzi victoriously proved that wrong by celebrating the success of his new album that dominates the Billboard 200 chart for a second straight week.
Ebro himself acknowledged Uzi’s success on his Twitter post on March 16. Seemingly crediting himself for the excellent outcome, he wrote, “So glad I pressed Uzi Vert 4yrs ago… He proved me wrong! Exactly what I love… Hope more artists do the same when I question your talent or skills.”
The post didn’t stop Uzi’s fans from trolling Ebro as they weren’t ready to let his comment slide. “Never forget when Ebro told Uzi he’d be struggling, fast forward 3 years. He’s selling 300k & has the game at his fingertips, life comes at you fast,” a fan bragged on Twitter. “ebro was being such a b***h that whole interview.”
Uzi apparently caught wind of the hate comments and wanted them to stop. “Stop saying f**k Ebro!” he said during Instagram Live broadcast. The rapper went on adding with an apparent backhanded compliment, “Stop saying that! He just old! He ain’t know no better. He old! He ain’t know no better… I ain’t know no better back then. Only thing I knew was they was old!”
During the broadcast, he responded to people saying his recent success was luck and calling his music “wack.” He clapped back, “I dropped my album during the Coronavirus and my s**t still poppin’.” Agreeing with him, a fan commented, “Lyck???? Lol this ain’t sports.”

Lil Uzi Vert Reaches Out to Artist Accusing Him of Plagiarism Over 'That Way' Cover Art

    WENN/FayesVision

The ‘Sauce It Up’ spitter has responded to a Korean artist’s claim that the rapper stole his work for the album’s cover, promising that he will compensate the artist for the inspiring work.
    Mar 17, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lil Uzi Vert is speaking out on plagiarism accusations. A little over a week after releasing “Eternal Atake” album that included a bonus song “That Way”, the “Sauce It Up” rapper was accused of copying a South Korean artist’s work for the track’s cover art, but he was quick to own up to his mistake.
On Saturday, March 14, the artist identified as Tae Tae took to Instagram to post a side-by-side photo of his original work and “That Way” cover art. “I am very upset that I have to write such an article,” he wrote in his post. “I saw lil uzi vert’s latest album cover art and it was very similar to my painting.”
“My picture was posted on my blog six years ago, and it is possible to use it for profile pictures or non-commercial purposes, but it is not allowed to use anything else,” the artist continued explaining. “Now I’m very embarrassed and don’t want to let this go.”

Upon noticing the similarities, fans flooded Tae Tae’s post with comments calling for Uzi. Not turning a blind eye to the issue, the 25-year-old rapper liked the post and responded, “Hey, I’m not a mean person or a thief. I get inspired a lot if you want money I will have my team contact you and give you money Signed … Baby Pluto P.s. You’re a great artist.”

Lil Uzi Vert responded to plagiarism accusation.
The “20 Min” rapper went on in a follow-up reply, “Just because I’m famous doesn’t mean imma ignore the problem or shove money.” He further explained, “I wanna help in all areas I love art it’s the only thing that keeps me okay and leveled.”

The ‘Sauce It Up’ rapper continued to right a wrong.
Uzi was apparently serious about his offer as Tae Tae, whose real name is Tae Yeon Lee, confirmed that the musician’s team has contacted him. “We are currently talking to Lil Uzi’s management and there is no conclusion on compensation,” he told the Daily Dot. “I will take legal action if the communication is not good.”
Though his artwork was being copied, the artist assured he didn’t have any bad blood with Uzi. “I’m not in a bad mood. I don’t hate Lil Uzi,” he noted. “But I had to insist on my rights to the work this way and I’m a little tired of it.”
Meanwhile, the animator behind “That Way” cover, Artxstic, has also responded to Tae Tae’s accusation. Sharing a capture of the plagiarism news, he wrote in an Instagram Story post, “This guy covered the whole ordeal pretty well. No I’m not mad at Uzi and yes I’m gonna make the original artist happy.”

Artxstic begged people to stop sending hate messages.
Seemingly receiving hates for the issue, Artxstic later returned to social media with a statement, “I learn from my mistakes, I’ll make a post about everything when everyone calms down and listens instead of bashing me for a mistake I’ve made. Been gaining a lot of hate, ni**as sending s**t like telling me to kill myself in my email, it’s crazy bruh. I’m young, I’m human I make mistakes, I’m trying to fix things.”
