    Mar 26, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Taylor Swift has treated her fans to yet another never-before-heard track. The 31-year-old premiered her previously-unreleased song titled “You All Over Me” on midnight Friday, March 26 along with its lyric video.

“You All Over Me” features backing vocals by Maren Morris and is produced by the National’s Aaron Dessner, who who collaborated with Taylor on her Grammy winning 2020 “Folklore” album and the follow-up “Evermore”. It’s co-written by Scooter Carusoe.

The song is the first to be released from her “From the Vault” series that will be included on “Fearless (Taylor Version)”, the revamp of her second studio album. The track was recorded for the 2008 project, but it didn’t make the cut.

Taylor announced the song on Wednesday. Making use of Twitter, the “Love Story” hitmaker shared snaps of herself and Maren. Along with the photos, she wrote, “HI. I wanted to let you know that the first ‘From the Vault’ song I’m releasing from Fearless (Taylor’s Version) comes out tomorrow at midnight eastern. It’s called ‘You All Over Me’ (‘From The Vault’).”

“One thing I’ve been loving about these ‘From the Vault’ songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists,” she went on sharing. “I’m really excited to have @MarenMorris singing background vocals on this song!!” She then ended with, “Can’t wait for you to hear it [love]”

“Fearless (Taylor Version)” is due out on April 9. She previously released a re-recorded version of “Love Story”, the lead single off the album, which she released last month. She also released the “Elvira Remix” of the song.

Taylor has opted to re-record a number of tracks from her back catalogue in an attempt to regain control of her work after Scooter Braun bought and later re-sold master recordings of her first six studio albums.

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd Discuss Their Creative Partnership After Release of First Duet

During their joint appearance on ‘Today’s Country Radio’, the ‘Chasing After You’ singers open up about why they initially were ‘scared’ about making music together.

    Feb 13, 2021
AceShowbiz – Maren Morris and her husband Ryan Hurd have released their first-ever duet together.
The country music pair – who welcomed their first child, son Hayes, into the world last March (20) – have teamed up on “Chasing After You” and the pair admitted working together creatively has always come “natural” to them.
    [embedded content]
Ryan, 34, said, “It’s been really natural. And I think that that’s the best part about it, is that it’s been such a seamless … There’s moments that are hard to be a creative partnership and actually have a life together. That’s it, there are moments where that Venn diagram is awkward, but I think for the most part we do this together, we always have. And then I do Maren’s career with her, just as much as she does mine with me. And so I think if you have that perspective, the timing stuff sort of figures itself out.”

“Middle” hitmaker Maren, 30, admitted she and her spouse were “scared” about making music together at first in case they ended up in a “serious relationship,” however, it ended up improving their “dynamic” as writers.
She added during their joint appearance on Apple Music Country’s “Today’s Country Radio” with Kelleigh Bannen, “I mean, we still write together. I think that’s always going to be a part of our relationship, is being creative. There was a time that we wrote so many songs together in the beginning that we were scared. Like if we did get into a serious relationship, that we wouldn’t be able to write as honestly to and about each other in the room, but I don’t feel like that’s been the case. I think it’s only strengthened our dynamic in the writing room over the years.”
    [embedded content]
Elsewhere, Ryan, who tied the knot with Maren in 2018, teased his wife’s upcoming new album, which will be her follow-up to 2019’s “Girl”, and hailed his other half’s “world-class voice.”
He gushed, “Obviously, we’re all excited about her next album, whenever that is. I’m the only one who’s heard all the songs, so I’m proud of that. I don’t know, I am constantly, don’t listen too closely, I am always amazed at how good Maren is. She’s my favorite songwriter and honestly, has just a world-class voice.”

Maren Morris and More Condemn Morgan Wallen as ACM Rules Him Ineligible for 2021 Awards

    Instagram

A number of country music stars have spoken out and the Academy of Country Music officials block the ‘Dangerous’ star from this year’s awards following his N-word scandal.

    Feb 4, 2021
AceShowbiz – Maren Morris and Jason Isbell have joined the ranks of the country music stars bashing Morgan Wallen for using a racial slur on camera.
The singer has apologised for carelessly uttering the N-word during a night out on Sunday (31Jan21), but it’s too little too late for some – the singer, who is currently at the top of the U.S. albums chart, has been suspended from his record deal and his music has been pulled from radio stations.
Black country star Mickey Guyton and Kelsea Ballerini have already slammed Wallen, and now Morris is weighing in, calling out the country music industry’s executives for supporting the controversial star, who last year (20) was forced to pull out of a performance on “Saturday Night Live” following an ill-advised maskless appearance at a party.
The “My Church” singer blasts, “It actually IS representative of our town because this isn’t his first ‘scuffle’ and he just demolished a huge streaming record last month regardless. We all know it wasn’t his first time using that word. We keep them rich and protected at all costs with no recourse.”
Meanwhile, Isbell rages, “Wallen’s behavior is disgusting and horrifying. I think this is an opportunity for the country music industry to give that spot to somebody who deserves it, and there are lots of black artists who deserve it.”

In his apology, Wallen told TMZ, “I’m embarrassed and sorry. I used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.”
Cassadee Pope has also spoken out, tweeting, “Let me reiterate. The news about Morgan that broke does not represent ‘ALL’ of country music. As you can see, it represents some. It’s disgraceful has to change (sic).”
Meanwhile, Academy of Country Music officials have ruled the singer ineligible for this year’s awards show.
The ACM announced its decision on Wednesday afternoon, stating, “The Academy does not condone or support intolerance or behavior that doesn’t align with our commitment and dedication to diversity and inclusion… As a result of this unprecedented situation, the Academy will be reviewing our awards eligibility and submission process, ensuring our nominees consistently reflect the Academy’s integrity.”
Wallen’s music can still be found on Spotify and Apple Music, but he has been removed from every playlist except his own. CMT and the Country Music Association have also taken Wallen-related content off their platforms.

Maren Morris Hits Back at CMA Critics for Saying She's Not Truly Country

    WENN

The ‘I Could Use a Love Song’ crooner has responded to the internet trolls finding fault with her multiple triumphs at the recent Country Music Association Awards.

    Nov 15, 2020
AceShowbiz – Maren Morris has slammed critics insisting she isn’t truly a country music artist.
The 29-year-old musician won three awards at the 2020 Country Music Association (CMA) Awards this week (begs09Nov20), including Female Vocalist of the Year, but that hasn’t stopped trolls questioning whether she’s deserving of the victory.
Taking to her Twitter page, the “GIRL” star fired back at the negativity, insisting she “still can get hurt when people claim I’m ‘not country,’ ” and insisting the recognition from the organisation means more than the words of a handful of haters.

“When I stood there accepting @cma Song of the Year, I realized it is much harder to forge your own path & sound than attempt to be a knock off of someone who’s already pioneered the genre,” she penned, adding, “Thank you for accepting me.”
Maren also picked up the Single of the Year and Song of the Year for “The Bones” at the ceremony, and was also a performer at the CMAs, which took place at Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee in front of a live, socially-distanced audience filled with nominees and their guests.
During her acceptance speech at the CMAs, Maren Morris shone a light on black female country musicians Linda Martell, Yola, Mickey Guyton, and Brittney Spencer. “There are so many amazing black women that pioneered and continue to pioneer this genre, and I know they’re gonna come after me, they’ve come before me, but you’ve made this genre so, so beautiful. I hope you know that we see you. Thank you for making me so inspired as a singer in this genre,” she said.
