    Bobby Brown: 'The Masked Singer' Helps Me Cope With the Loss of My Children

    The New Edition singer finds competing on the televised singing contest ‘theraputic’ following the tragic deaths of his daughter Bobbi Kristina and son Bobby Jr.

    Bobby Brown found starring on “The Masked Singer” “theraputic” after suffering the loss of two of his children in recent years.

    The New Edition star was revealed to be The Crab on Wednesday’s (21Apr21) installment of the celebrity singing contest and he admitted the show gave him some much-needed “fun” at a time when the world is battling coronavirus and he is still coming to terms with the loss of two of his children, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who died in July 2015 aged 22 and 28-year-old Bobby Jr., who passed away last November.

    He told Entertainment Tonight, “It was something that was different. Something out of the box, you know? Something I could just go out and have fun with.”

    “Especially during these times, I think we need a little bit of laughter and a little bit of fun happening around the world.”

    “It was so much fun. I recommend it for any entertainer out there to experience this at least once in their lifetime.”

    In his clues on the show, Bobby talked about the trauma and tragedy he’s experienced through his life but he found being on the stage as The Crab cathartic.

    He said, “It keeps me going, you know? I’m a performer. I love performing on stage. I can’t wait to get back at it. This was definitely therapeutic for me.”

    The 52-year-old singer and wife Alicia Etheredge have watched every episode of the show with their young children, Cassius, 11, Bodhi, five, and four-year-old Hendrix, and despite his efforts to put them off the scent, they knew he was the star behind the crustacean costume.

    He said, “I couldn’t tell them at all so I had to tell a little fib to my kids but they guessed it from right off the bat because we sing so much around the house and my kids know my tones so they guessed right off the bat that it was me.”

    “I kept having to say, ‘No, it’s not daddy! How could it be daddy? Daddy’s right here with you. I can’t be there and here at the same time.'”

      AceShowbiz – LeAnn Rimes wanted to “give and receive love” appearing on “The Masked Singer”.
      The country star was unveiled as The Sun on the finale of the U.S. TV competition on Wednesday night (16Dec20), as she was crowned the winner.
      LeAnn performed “The Story” by Brandi Carlile as her final performance, which she dedicated to her longtime love – husband Eddie Cibrian. Judges Nicole Scherzinger and Jenny McCarthy both guessed correctly, after which LeAnn removed her elaborate mask to reveal her true identity.

      Asked why she’d decided to take part in the programme, LeAnn smiled, “To give and receive love and that’s totally what happened.”
      The other two finalists were also unmasked during the finale. The Crocodile, who came in third place, was revealed to be Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter while the Mushroom, who was the runner-up of the competition, was unmasked as Aloe Blacc.
      Following the finale, LeAnn took to her Instagram page to express her joy at winning the show, sharing a video of the moment she took her mask off and writing, “BUSTED Rimes. The secret is out and I can’t wait to FINALLY be able to talk to you about my time as #TheSun on @maskedsingerfox.”
      “I’ve seen your sweet messages and dm’s over these past few months and wanted to respond so many times. Thank you for the support and Love! I have absolutely had the best time shining some light in the world during a time of darkness.”

      AceShowbiz – Clint Black and his wife Lisa Hartman Black are releasing a duet following their appearance on U.S. TV competition “The Masked Singer”.
      The pair were unveiled as the Snow Owls on the latest episode of the programme on Wednesday (11Nov20), when the couple was sent home. And despite their time on the show coming to an early end, Lisa has credited “The Masked Singer” for helping her become more comfortable with singing with her spouse again – so much so that they’re releasing duet “Til the End of Time” on 3 December (20).

      “(I decided) I’d write a new duet, and it was three days and I’m thinking of the songs that I’ve already written for us, and it was three days of banging my head against the wall and I was about to decide that this is hard, I can’t just do this now,” Clint told Entertainment Tonight. “And then I came upon the idea for the song and the opening line – which really inspired the rest of it – which was, ‘I can tell you how the story never ends.’ ”
      “And that’s us. So the song is Til the End of Time. She sang great on it and people are going to love hearing her voice in it.”
      In their last stint on “The Masked Singer”, the duo did a cover of “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli and Celine Dion. They were then pitted against the Popcorn in the Smackdown to determine who stayed and who went home.

      AceShowbiz – Poison star Bret Michaels wants to revive his dating show “Rock of Love With Bret Michaels” – with a twist.
      The star is the latest celebrity to be unmasked on Fox reality TV series “The Masked Singer”, and his stint on the programme, which features stars performing in elaborate disguises in a bid to fool the shows judges and viewers at home, has inspired him to think up some new concepts.
      Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Bret mused he’d like to bring back his VH1 show, which saw eligible single women competing for the star’s affection, in a new format where the potential couples are kept hidden from their suitors.
      “I threw it out there the other day, joking, ‘I’m thinking Banana of Love. We take Rock of Love to a whole new level,’ ” he said, referring to his The Banana costume of “The Masked Singer”.
      “So imagine you’re in some kind of outfit and then they have to love you for your personality,” he explained. “Every show says that, but no one really means it. This would actually mean you would have to be loved as a masked human being and they would actually like you as a person. And then you’re hoping when the mask comes off the other part of the chemistry works. So, Banana of Love.”
      While he’s happy to pitch the idea, Michaels said he’d have no interest in being a contestant on it.
      “I’m a family man, but let’s just say I would be a great host,” he explained. “I would be great at giving advice that they could either listen to or completely ignore, if they’re smart.”

      The social media influencer was unmasked on the singing competition, which sees stars don elaborate costumes and show off their vocal talents in a bid to fool viewers and judges Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy, on Wednesday, April 8, 2020.
      Despite having kept her singing skills quiet until now, many fans guessed she was the famous face behind the mask, as she told People, “I didn’t even realise people would know, because I’ve never publicly sang. People are just smart.”
      Now, however, she’s got the bug for music, and confessed she’s planning to hit the studio and lay down vocals on a bunch of tracks she’s already been working on.
      “Sometimes people (are) like, ‘What is her talent?’… I wanted to show people a different side of me that even I didn’t know existed before doing the show,” she explained. “There will be an album. Stay tuned for when this is over and I can actually get to the studio to record the music I’ve made.”

      Jordyn was ousted from the Kardashian/Jenner sisters’ inner circle after it emerged she kissed Khloe Kardashian’s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, at a house party last year 2019, prompting the couple to break up around the time the “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star was due to give birth to daughter Dream.
