      AceShowbiz – Shannon Elizabeth has no regrets about stripping off for the “American Pie” movie, insisting the revealing scene kickstarted her career.
      The actress agreed to bare almost all in a now-famous webcam scene in the 1999 comedy as naive exchange student Nadia, and she admits she’ll never look back and wish she’d kept her clothes on.
      In new documentary “Skin: A History of Nudity in the Movies”, Shannon says, “If I hadn’t done ‘American Pie’ and I hadn’t done the role of Nadia and the nudity that came along with it, I might not have a career today.”
      “I mean kids are taking pictures of themselves and putting it on the Internet all the time, so it’s not as big of a deal; you see it (nudity) online every day and you see it on Instagram. I didn’t really think about the fact that my character had nudity. I was a struggling actor auditioning for everything I could, so when I got the role I was so excited to get it.”
      “I tried really hard to go in there and not be nervous. We added some stuff that actually wasn’t in the script so in the scene where I walk to the mirror and I’m topless and I’m looking at myself and I’m looking at my stomach and thinking I’m not happy with the way I look because that’s what girls do (sic). Doing ‘American Pie’ and the role of Nadia changed everything for me in my career. I ended up getting a three picture deal with Miramax because of it.”

      AceShowbiz – Joey King took one for the team as she romanced her real-life ex, Jacob Elordi, for Netflix sequel “The Kissing Booth 2” because she knew fans wanted to see their characters back together.
      The stars met and fell in love while filming the original movie in 2017, but the pair split the following year only to reunite as Elle and Noah for the follow-up.
      King admits it wasn’t easy pretending to be besotted by her ex, but she did what she had to do.
      “No one’s thinking to themselves, ‘That was easy’, because it wasn’t,” she tells Cosmopolitan, adding, “I’m sure people will analyze every movement and every detail and you know what? Let them. But at the end of the day, I was just thrilled to be Elle Evans again.”
      “Elle Evans needs her Noah Flynn, and whatever that means for my personal life, I’ll do anything to make sure the story of my character, who I care about so much, is complete.”

      Both stars have moved on – Joey has been linked to her “The Act” producer Steven Piet, while she and her “The Kissing Booth 2” co-star Taylor Zakhar Perez sparked romance speculation last month (July) after he posted a photo of the pair at the beach on her 21st birthday, adding the caption: “Happy Friggen Birthday @joeyking. Honestly I could write about this woman all day. She is the reason I joined the KB2 family, she welcomed me with open arms and love, she supported me, she pushed me, she made me laugh (like pee my pants laughter and had to check my underwear), she inspired me to be a better actor, she shared her family with me, THE LIST GOES ON. Grateful for you forever.”
      He has since made it clear that he and King are just good friends.
      Meanwhile, Jacob has been linked to his “Euphoria” co-star Zendaya Coleman.

      AceShowbiz – Dwayne Johnson has topped Forbes magazine’s Highest Paid Actors list for the second year in a row.
      The action man raked in an estimated $87.5 million (£67 million) over the last year, $16 million (£12.2 million) more than second-placed Ryan Reynolds.
      Mark Wahlberg comes in third with $58 million (£44.3 million), just ahead of Ben Affleck and Vin Diesel.
      Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Will Smith, Adam Sandler, and Jackie Chan also make the top 10.
      In total the top 10 stars made over $545 million (£416.5 million) for the year with a quarter of that amount coming from Netflix projects, shared between six of the actors.

      AceShowbiz – Shia LaBeouf could be the new Iceman in MCU. The 34-year-old actor, who has been shying away from big studio’s projects for years now, is reportedly considered by Marvel to be the next Iceman in its potential X-Men reboot.
      According to We Got This Covered which first reported the news, the juicy info came from reliable sources who previously revealed a She-Hulk show is coming to Disney Plus and a live-action Robin Hood remake is in the works at Disney. LaBeouf was previously rumored to play Moon Knight and while he’s still in the running for the role, he’s no longer considered a top choice.
      Iceman, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, is a mutant born with superhuman abilities. He has the ability to manipulate ice and cold by freezing water vapor around him. The character first appeared in “The X-Men” #1 which was published in September 1963.
      In big screen, the character was first portrayed by Shawn Ashmore in “X-Men”, “X2”, “X-Men: The Last Stand” and “X-Men: Days of Future Past”. He’s depicted as having a romantic relationship with Rogue (Anna Paquin) in the earlier films, but later their relationship is strained by their inability to have physical contact and by his close friendship with Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) in “The Last Stand”.
      Should the news be true and LaBeouf land the role, it will mark his return to a big budget movie. The actor, who debuted as a child star in 1996 and starred as Louis Stevens on the Disney Channel series “Even Stevens”, went on to become an A-list star following his appearance in the first three “Transformers” film, “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” among others.
      In the 2010s, he starred in critically-acclaimed movies like “Lawless (2012)”, “The Company You Keep”, “Nymphomaniac” and “Fury”. After a two-year break, he returned with “Honey Boy” which earned rave reviews from critics.
      However, his personal life was far from flattering, with him being arrested in 2014 for disorderly conduct and criminal trespass charges and once again in 2017 for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and obstruction, which were all attributed to his alcoholism. He was later diagnosed with PTSD during a stint in drug rehabilitation following the arrest.

      The actor playing mafia boss Massimo in the erotic film has shared his thought on the criticism that the movie glamorizes rape, kidnapping, and sex trafficking.

      AceShowbiz – Actor Michele Morrone has spoken out against critics of his Netflix movie “365 Days” (a.k.a. “365 DNI”).
      The erotic film follows a mafia boss named Massimo, played by Morrone, who has a near-death experience and sees the image of a young woman named Laura (Anna Maria Sieklucka) while he’s close to dying.
      Years later, he runs into that woman by chance, kidnaps her, and gives her 365 days to fall in love with him, with viewers criticising the film for glamorising rape, kidnapping, and sex trafficking.
      “Mercy” singer Duffy is among those who have spoken out about the movie after going through a similar real-life experience but, speaking to E! News, Morrone insisted, “it’s important to remember that this film is based on a work of fiction”.
      “365 Days was a very successful book in Poland before it was made into a movie. When an audience watches a film, I think they know what they see on screen is not always real, but my job as an actor is to make it feel real, to make you connect to Massimo even though he is a mob boss,” he explained.
      “I trust the audience to know that this movie is a fantasy,” he added, affirming that, “this behaviour is completely unacceptable in real life.”
      While Morrone does understand where people are coming from when they criticise the movie, he reflected that, “we have to be careful not to limit art from being created”.
      “I wouldn’t say we shouldn’t allow a fictional movie like this to exist, because then what about films that are about war, crimes, murders, and, yes, celebrated mob movies,” he asked. “This film is not meant to minimise the reality of sexual violence in the world. I do not want people to think this behaviour is OK. It is not.”
      “I think it’s good that the movie is causing people to talk about these issues, so we can create more awareness about them in our society.”

      AceShowbiz – Robert Pattinson threw filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s famous secrecy back at him after landing an audition for “The Batman” while filming new movie “Tenet”.
      Nolan is well-known for keeping plot and casting details for his films close to his chest, and when his new leading man found out he was in the running to replace Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader, he decided to lie about the role.
      “It’s funny because Chris is so secretive about everything to do with his movies, and then I had to be really secretive about Batman stuff,” Robert tells The Irish Times. “So I had to lie to Chris about having to go for a screen test. I said I had a family emergency.”
      “As soon as I said, ‘It’s a family emergency’, he said, ‘You’re doing ‘The Batman’ audition, aren’t you?’.”
      Pattinson’s new movie is now set to be released later this month, while filming on “The Batman” is set to recommence next month after the project was put on ice due to the COVID crisis. It will hit cinemas in October, 2021.
      Nolan also has a history with the DC Comics superhero – he directed “The Dark Knight” trilogy with Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne and his batty alter ego.

      The singer and actress, who won the Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy prize at the 1997 Golden Globe Awards for her performance in “Evita”, teased she’s reviving her film career, alongside Cody – best known for her Oscar-winning 2007 movie script for “Juno”.
      Taking to Instagram, the hitmaker shared a black-and-white video, showing her sitting on the couch as the writer types away on a laptop.
      “When you’re stuck in a house with multiple injuries what do you do? Write a screenplay with Diablo Cody about…” she captioned the post, alongside a string of emojis relating to film and music.
      While the star didn’t reveal any further details, fans began to speculate the pair was working on a biopic project, as the two discussed points from Madonna’s decades-long career, as they sat in front of a table covered in carefully laid out journals and notebooks.
      “The garters were over the suit bottoms, right?” Cody asked Madonna in the video, referring to a particular look from her 1990 Blond Ambition World Tour.
      “Yeah,” Madonna answered. “Straight pin-striped pants sit beneath the corset, it’s cut high-waisted on the leg, the garters come down here, cone bra zipped up the front and then the double-breasted suit coat goes over it.”

      The new project comes amid reports Madonna is set to sign an eight-figure deal to return to Warner Records, where she began her career, after splitting with Interscope following the release of her “Madame X” album last year (19).

      AceShowbiz – Will Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment, has reached a settlement after being sued over “King Richard” – a biopic based on the life of Serena and Venus Williams’ father, Richard Williams.
      In court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, it is claimed Overbrook chiefs “have entered into a settlement” with TW3 Entertainment and Power Move Multimedia, who are “dismissing their claims against defendants with prejudice.”
      The two parties, however, ask the court to retain “jurisdiction over the Parties to enforce the payment term in the settlement.”
      Also named as defendants in the suit are Warner Bros., Williams and his son and business partner Chavoita LeSane, and production company Star Thrower Entertainment, as well as its executives Timothy and Trevor White.
      Back in June (20), it emerged that bosses at TW3 Entertainment and Power Move Multimedia were suing over the project, claiming that they were the true owners of the tennis coach’s life rights.
      They claimed they bought the rights to Williams’ 2014 memoir, “Black and White: The Way I See It”, in 2017 from LeSane, who allegedly had been given power of attorney by his father for the “purposes of dealing with film and media rights for his book.”
      LeSane was allegedly involved in an initial draft of a script for the project too, before Williams later sold the rights to his story for “King Richard” for $1 million (£800,000).
      “King Richard”, starring Will as Richard, Saniyya Sidney as Venus, and Demi Singleton as Serena, is slated for a 2021 release.
