AceShowbiz – DJ and hotel heiress Paris Hilton is to discuss a period of trauma from her childhood on her new YouTube documentary.

It is not yet clear what “The Simple Life” star will reveal in the documentary, with Paris adding in the teaser, “No one really knows who I am…”

  • 'Deadpool' Creator Hopes for Cable Spin-Off as Third Movie May Be Scrapped

    20th Century Fox

A spin-off centering on the anti-hero character played by Josh Brolin may be in the card as the third installment of the Merc with a Mouth movie may never happen.
    Jul 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Deadpool” creator Rob Liefeld has confessed a third instalment of the superhero franchise might never happen.
Despite leading man Ryan Reynolds revealing late last year (19) that he was “working on (Deadpool 3) right now with the whole team,” Liefeld recently confirmed that the much-anticipated sequel isn’t on the latest docket compiled by Marvel bosses.
And in a new chat with Collider, he’s admitted he’s now unsure whether the film will ever come into fruition.
“You know what? There may not be another Deadpool, and I’m fine,” he shared. “Because I have to live with the fact that I had two amazing experiences, two movies I’m extremely proud of, I love knowing everybody on those movies.”
Liefeld added, “I love Ryan (Reynolds), Josh (Brolin), Zazie (Beetz), David (Leitch), Tim Miller. All of them. The work they did was fantabulous, those movies are here to stand the test of time. You know, but in the world we live in, nothing is guaranteed. And it takes a lot to make movies. And post-quarantine, it’s weird.”
While a direct sequel might be off the cards, it’s not stopping Liefeld plotting spin-offs and she confessed he’d like to see a franchise focused on Cable, played by Josh.
“Cable should have his own movie series. He can exist independent of Deadpool in a heartbeat. He has for years,” he teased. “If Deadpool’s been in like 330 comics, Cable’s been in about 520. Yes, I’ve counted…”
“In between Deadpool 2 wrapping and opening, I got really close with Josh. And he was very excited about exploring Cable in the subsequent sequels. The X-Force standalone movie that was, in his own words, Cable-centric.”

  • Christopher Nolan's 'Tenet' Gets Pulled From Warner Bros' Release Calendar

    Warner Bros.

Blaming the delay on the coronavirus crisis, chairman Toby Emmerich stresses that their goals ‘throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success’ for their films.
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Moviemaker Christopher Nolan’s new film “Tenet” has been pulled from the Warner Bros. release calendar after its cinema debut was changed four times.
Movie bosses are considering scrapping plans to release the film globally and traditionally on the same day because so many cinemas remain closed due to the coronavirus crisis.
Nolan’s much-anticipated movie is now expected to open in China and the Far East first, while studio executives are eyeing a drive-in theatre release in the U.S. Reports suggest the action film could hit cinemas on September 11.
“Our goals throughout this process have been to ensure the highest odds of success for our films while also being ready to support our theatre partners with new content as soon as they could safely reopen,” Toby Emmerich, the chairman of Warner Bros. Pictures Group, says in a statement obtained by Deadline. “We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from exhibitors and remain steadfast in our commitment to the theatrical experience around the world.”
“Unfortunately, the pandemic continues to proliferate, causing us to reevaluate our release dates. Amidst all this continued uncertainty, we have decided to vacate the current dates for our next two releases. We will share a new 2020 release date imminently for ‘Tenet’, Christopher Nolan’s wholly original and mind-blowing feature. We are not treating Tenet like a traditional global day-and-date release, and our upcoming marketing and distribution plans will reflect that.”
“Additionally, we will be moving the next installment from our most-successful horror franchise, ‘The Conjuring 3′, to June 4, 2021.”

  • Lindsay Lohan and Dennis Quaid Remember Natasha Richardson During 'The Parent Trap' Virtual Reunion

    WENN

Joined by director Nancy Meyers and other co-stars, the on-screen father-daughter duo also reminisce about working together to raise funds and awareness for Work Central Kitchen.
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – The cast of “The Parent Trap” remake remembered late co-star Natasha Richardson during a virtual reunion, which aired on Monday, July 20.
Dennis Quaid and Lindsay Lohan, who played father and daughter in the 1998 film, joined director Nancy Meyers and co-stars Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter for the online chat, which U.S. newswoman Katie Couric hosted via her Instagram account to raise funds and awareness for Work Central Kitchen.
The group reminisced about working together, but Natasha was close to their hearts throughout and her absence for the virtual roundtable was obvious.
“Natasha had such an elegance and grace, and she was so maternal to me,” Lindsay, who played twins Hallie Parker and Annie James in the movie, said, while Quaid added, “(She was) somebody so giving and glad to be there and transmitted that joy of being able to do what we do. It just made everything that much better.”
Richardson, who played Liz James in the film, died in March 2009 following a skiing accident.
“She would come into the hair and makeup trailer and she would literally swoon over talking about (husband) Liam (Neeson) and her kids…,” Hendrix recalled. “She truly seemed to have it all, which, to me, made what happened even more heartbreaking.”

Neeson and his son from his marriage to Natasha, Micheal Richardson, have also been reminiscing about the late actress after playing a grieving father and son in upcoming movie “Made in Italy”, which is released on demand next month (August).

  • John Boyega Says 'No Thank You' About Possible 'Star Wars' Return

    Walt Disney Pictures

The ‘Attack the Block’ actor says ‘no’ when asked about his possible return to the galaxy far far away but is keen to reprise his role in his other movie directed by Joe Cornish.
    Jul 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – John Boyega has left his “Star Wars” role of Finn behind him.
The British star debuted as the rogue stormtrooper, who flees the First Order’s and joins forces with Rey (Daisy Ridley) and later the Resistance, in 2015’s “The Force Awakens”, and most recently appeared in the role in last year’s (19) “The Rise of Skywalker”.
However, addressing fan speculation surrounding a possible return, after the actor shared a snap of himself back on set, he put to bed any rumours of a reprisal.
In response to one fan, who wrote, “Force Finn in action with Green lightsaber dressed in black is all I want from the next SW film,” Boyega replied, “lol no thank you. I’ve moved on.”
When another user added, “Really just got those Disney bucks and dipped,” he explained, “Nope. Not into playing one role for too long. I have more to offer than that. That’s all.”
The star was noticeably quiet when a third fan offered that he’d stepped down as Finn due to the quality of recent instalments of the science fiction franchise, but insisted he’s not opposed to revisiting other past roles.
After a user questioned whether Boyega would ever return as Moses, his breakout role in Joe Cornish’s 2011 “Attack the Block”, he replied, “I haven’t played Moses in over a decade. I’d love to revisit him. Now he is a BADA*S.”
