Miley dresses up her boyfriend Cody as a drag queen in her lockdown directorial debut video released to support his latest single called ‘Dancing with the Devil.
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Miley Cyrus persuaded her boyfriend, Cody Simpson, to don a dress, fishnet stockings and make-up for his latest video, which she directed at home.
The “Wrecking Ball” star makes her debut behind the camera for the arty promo for the Australian singer and poet’s “Dance With the Devil” video, in which he portrays a cross-dressing seaman.
The couple created the short film during their lockdown at Miley’s home and Cody gave his girlfriend free rein to get as creative as she liked.
Cyrus turned make-up artist to give her man eyeshadow, bright red lipstick and fake fingernails while dressing him up in fishnets, a black Vivienne Westwood dress, believed to be one of hers, and costume jewellery.
She also set the tone for the video, which begins with Cody dressed up like a sailor, lighting candles around the house and a firepit in the garden for outdoor scenes.

Matt Goss Releases New Single to Feed NHS Workers

    WENN

The Bros musician has debuted his rendition of Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’ to raise money to provide free meals for the frontline workers amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
    May 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Matt Goss has launched a crowdfunder in a bid to raise $60,686 to provide meals for Britain’s National Health Service (NHS) workers.
The Bros singer recently brought forward the release of his new single, a cover version of Alicia Keys’ Grammy Award-nominated single “If I Ain’t Got You” he recorded with producer Babyface for his new album, to support fundraising efforts for NHS heroes.
Matt launched the song via a JustGiving Crowdfunding page, where fans can watch the video and donate money.
So far, alongside partners Burger Bites, he has already funded over 13,000 meals to key NHS staff, part of 36,000 meals the organisation have delivered since the outbreak began.
“Despite having lived and worked in Las Vegas for the past 11 years, I feel so connected to the UK and it’s hard to put into words how touched my heart felt seeing the images of NHS workers caring for Coronavirus sufferers,” the musician said in a statement.
“Music-making and singing is in my blood and so is the UK. I am so impressed by the amazing work the NHS is doing. I can’t go out on my front door and clap for carers, so I decided to help feed them to keep them going through this crisis. I hope my new song can do some good by getting it out early to help.”
Matt has also been conducting nightly late-night Instagram Live calls with some of the key workers to give them a boost before they head into the Covid-19 wards. And he urged his fans to show similar support to the NHS heroes.
“My concern is that while the NHS continues to go through arguably one of the most troubling times in their history, we are all thinking, as a society about getting back to normality,” he continued. “However what we must be aware of is that this is their normal, so it is our duty as British people to make sure that this support does NOT stop. There is no end in sight for the NHS because they are our protectors. Let us always remember, to never forget. Please donate anything you can.”
The track is being supported across U.K. radio, with more than 40 radio stations having added it to their playlists. To donate go to his Crowdfunding pahe

Lewis Capaldi Back to No. 1 With Debut Album

The ‘Before You Go’ hitmaker returns to the top spot on the U.K. albums chart with ‘Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent’, pushing aside Dua Lipa and her ‘Future Nostalgia’.
    May 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lewis Capaldi’s debut album, “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent”, has marked the first anniversary of its release by returning to the top of the U.K. charts.
The record, which dropped on May 17, 2019, tops Friday’s May 22, 2020 Official Charts Company rundown, with Lewis celebrating a year, in which his album became Britain’s biggest seller.
The number one return gives the Scottish singer a 10th non-consecutive week on top, a full year in the top 10.
Last week’s top album, Dua Lipa’s “Future Nostalgia”, slips one place to two while Harry Styles’ “Fine Line” rises to three and Drake’s “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” is at four. Future’s “High Off Life” completes the new top five.
In the singles chart, DaBaby’s “Rockstar”, featuring Roddy Ricch, holds on to the top spot, seeing off competition from Doja Cat’s “Say So”, which rises to two, and Drake’s former number one, “Toosie Slide”, which slips to three.

Ariana Grande Finds Lady GaGa's Hands-On Approach to Their Collaboration 'Awesome'

    Instagram

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music, the ‘Thank You, Next’ hitmaker talks about working together with the ‘Born This Way’ singer on their new single ‘Rain on Me’.
    May 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Ariana Grande had a great time working with Lady GaGa on their new single “Rain on Me”, revealing the “Poker Face” singer was hands-on when it came to all aspects of the collaboration.
The “thank u, next” singer had no idea what to expect when she signed on to work with GaGa and now reveals it was one of the most fulfilling collaborations.
Speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music on Friday (May 22), Ariana said, “She does do a really fantastic job riding that line of being like, ‘Hey, it is what it is’, but also, like, ‘I’m going to give you a f**king show, and I’m going to pick every color that’s on the screen – every lighting, every shot, every wig that every dancer is wearing. Every, everything. I’m going to pick, I’m going to help Ari with picking her make-up and her hair…’ ”
“It’s awesome. I really love seeing her have the point of view, and such gentleness at the same time. And respect for another artist at the same time.”
Grande also admitted she loved enjoying pure pop moments with her new pal, “It feels so fun to be a part of something so upbeat and, like, straight pop again, because I do feel like it’s been a minute since I’ve done something that poppy, and that’s funny because I am a pop person, but it’s just, everyone knows that my heart is kind of rooted in the R&B influence music that I make, and that’s where my heart is, but it just felt so good and fun and happy to dip a toe into her world a little bit, and to try this on for size.”
“The video is so GaGa and so fun. I had so much fun. I was like, ‘I’ve never dressed like this in my life. I’m just having the best time.’ ”

Doja Cat Appears to Defend Lana Del Rey's Controversial Instagram Post in Cryptic Tweet

    Instagram/WENN

Meanwhile, after multiple clarifications, the ‘Born to Die’ singer is constantly trying to explain her true intentions with her controversial remarks as she is accused of racism.
    May 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Doja Cat might be the only one musician whom Lana Del Rey mentioned in her controversial Instagram post that publicly reacted to it. Fans noticed that the “Say So” hitmaker wrote a cryptic message on her Twitter account before quickly deleting it, prompting fans to assume that it was her response to Lana’s anti-feminist rant.
The said tweet read, “Gang sunk that dunker.” The post wasn’t up for too long since Doja removed it immediately. The singer, however, wrote part of the phrase in another tweet on Friday, May 22, saying, “Gang ______________. (Complete it).” Additionally, she changed her Twitter handle to “GANG?”.

Doja Cat wrote a cryptic message.

Doja went with cryptic tweet and Twitter name
Fans, however, were struggling to decipher the meaning of Doja’s tweet. According to a fan, “gang, meaning a friend and in this place referencing Lana. So Lana sunk, as in she landed, and dunker meaning the point trying to get across, (Imagine dunker meaning truth bomb). So Lana’s points were made.” Should this interpretation be true, Doja is definitely in team Lana.
Meanwhile, Lana is constantly trying to explain her true intentions with her remarks as she is accused of racism. After multiple clarifications, the “Born to Die” singer posted on Friday on her Instagram account “a couple of final notes on my ‘controversial post’ that’s not controversial at all.”
“Despite the feedback I’ve heard from several people that I mentioned in a complimentary way, whether it be [Ariana Grande] or Doja Cat – I want to say that I remain firm in my clarity and stance in that what I was writing about was the importance of self advocacy for the more delicate and often dismissed, softer female personality, and that there does have to be room for that type in what will inevitably become a new wave/3rd wave of feminism that is rapidly approaching. Watch!” she added.
“Perhaps I could’ve given more context to my post by mentioning the title of the second book that would be out next March called ‘behind the iron gates- insights from an institution’,” she continued. “I’m sorry that the folks who I can only assume are super trump/pence supporters or hyper liberalism or flip-flopping headline grabbing critics can’t read and want to make it a race war, when in fact the issue was with *female critics and *female alternative artists who are dissociated from their own fragility and sexuality and berate more sexually liberated artists like muself and the women i mentioned.”
“My aim and my messages are clear. That I have control of my own story. If the women I mentioned don’t wanna be associated with me that’s absolutely fine by me,” Lana concluded.

Prior to this, Lana insisted that she mentioned Nicki Minaj, Beyonce Knowles, Camila Cabello, Kehlani, Doja and Ariana in her original post out of admiration. “To be clear because I knowwwwww you love to twist things. I f***ing love these singers and know them. #that is why I mentioned them I would also like to have some of the same freedom of expression without judgment of hysteria,” she explained. “the singers I mentioned are my favorite singers. so if you want to try and make a bone to pick out of that like you always do be my guest.”
