Tekashi 6ix9ine Vows to 'Break the Internet' With New Music Video

    Instagram

The ‘Gooba’ hitmaker is gearing up for the release of his next music offering and vows to cause an even bigger stir on the internet with the new music video.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Tekashi 6ix9ine has high hopes for his upcoming music video, vowing to “break the internet” with the release.
The rapper, real name Daniel Hernandez, broke Eminem’s YouTube record for the most-watched hip-hop video in a 24-hour period after releasing his comeback track “GOOBA” earlier this month, May 2020, following his recent release from jail.
Tekashi has now told his fans that he intends to cause an even bigger stir with his next music video, sharing an Instagram photo of himself holding a kitten in each hand as he revealed he’s moved the release date for the song in question to next Friday, May 29. “NEXT VIDEO WILL BREAK THE INTERNET IM PUSHING IT BACK TILL NEXT FRIDAY MAY 29TH,” he wrote beneath the snap.

Despite the success of “GOOBA”, the star hit headlines after taking issue with Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Billboard officials after his track missed out on the U.S. number one spot.
After only reaching number three, Tekashi alleged that “you can buy Number Ones on Billboard,” prompting denials from Grande and Bieber over accusations the rapper made about sales of their charity collaboration, “Stuck With U”.
“To anybody that is displeased with their placement on the chart this week or who is spending their time racking their brain thinking of as many ways as they can to discredit hardworking women (and only the women for some reason…), I ask you to take a moment to humble yourself,” Grande said in a statement.
Billboard also issued a statement, clarifying their position on the matter and revealing the respective sales figures for “GOOBA” and “Stuck With U”.

Lana Del Rey Drags Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Ariana, Cardi B as She Denies Being Anti-Feminist

    WENN

The ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer criticizes other artists for singing songs about ‘cheating and f**king’ as she hints at being unfairly accused of ‘glamorizing abuse.’
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lana Del Rey has called out her critics in a lengthy note on social media posted on Thursday, May 21, 2020, hitting back at claims she “glamourises abuse” in her music.
The “Video Games” star has long been slammed by critics who call out her provocative lyrics and musical explorations of domestic violence as “anti-feminist,” with singer Lorde among those criticising the hitmaker.
“A lot of women in this industry maybe aren’t doing so well for the girls,” the “Royals” star told Fader back in 2013. “I listened to that Lana Del Rey record and the whole time I was just thinking it’s so unhealthy for young girls to be listening to, you know: ‘I’m nothing without you.’ ” She also accused Lana of being “like, ‘I’m not a feminist,’ ” but, according to the “Summertime Sadness” singer, that’s simply not the case.
In the post, Lana insisted, “I’m not not a feminist,” stating, “I’m just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seeing are very prevalent emotionally abusive relationships all over the world.”
She said, “Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, Camila, Cardi B, Kehlani, Nicki Minaj, and Beyonce have all had number ones about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f**king, cheating etc – can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money – or whatever I want – without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?”
“I think it’s pathetic that my minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships has often made people say I’ve set women back hundreds of years.”
Insisting she’s being “honest and optimistic about the challenging relationships I’ve had,” the “Venice B**ch” star went on to share, “There has to be a place in feminism for women who look and act like me – the kind of woman who says no but men hear yes – the kind of women who are slated mercilessly for being their authentic, delicate selves, The kind of women who get their own stories and voices taken away from them by stronger women or by men who hate women.”
Closing the message, Lana added she’s determined to “detail some of my feelings in my next two books of poetry” and teased “there will be tinges of what I’ve been pondering in my new album that comes out September 5th.”

The hitmaker previously revealed her forthcoming seventh studio album will be titled “White Hot Forever”.

Lana Del Rey Claps Back at Accusations That She's 'Glamorizing Abuse'

    Instagram

The ‘Born to Die’ artist takes to Instagram to explain her side while throwing shades at fellow female musicians including Doja Cat, Ariana Grande and Beyonce Knowles among others
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Lana Del Rey sets the record straight. In a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday, May 21, the singer-songwriter hits back at critics who accused her of “glamorizing abuse” in her songs throughout her decade-long career. She explained her side while throwing shades at fellow female musicians including Doja Cat and Ariana Grande, Beyonce Knowles among others.
“Question for the culture: Now that Doja Cat, Ariana, [Camila Cabello], Cardi B, Kehlani and Nicki Minaj and Beyonce have had number ones with songs about being sexy, wearing no clothes, f***ing, cheating etc – Can I please go back to singing about being embodied, feeling beautiful by being in love even if the relationship is not perfect, or dancing for money – or whatever I want – without being crucified or saying that I’m glamorizing abuse?” she opened her post.
“Im fed up with female writers and alt singers saying that I glamorize abuse when in reality I’m just a glamorous person singing about the realities of what we are all now seing are very prevalent emotinally abusive relationships all over the world,” she continued. “I think it’s pathetic that my minor lyrical exploration detailing my sometimes submissive or passive roles in my relationships has often made people say I’ve set women back hundreds of years.”
In her post, Lana also claimed, “I’ve been honest and optimistic about the challenging relationships I’ve had. News flash! That’s just how it is for many women. And that was sadly my experience up until people point that those records were made. So I just want to say it’s been a long 10 years of bullsh**t reviews up until recently and I’ve learned a lot from them but I also feel it really paved the way for other women to stop ‘putting on a happy face’ and to just be able to say whatever the hell they wanted to in their music.”
Concluding her rant, Lana hinted that she’s preparing for her album and her “next two books of poetry” in which she would be “detailing some of my feelings.” She added, ‘And I’m sure there wil be tinges of what I’ve been pondering in my new album that comes out September 5th.”

Fans appreciated her honesty as one of them wrote in the comment section, ” love you for being so honest and open and not being afraid to speak your mind! Continue being you, millions of people love you and relate to you. You’ve saved me thru ur music and has inspired me and made me who I am today and I thank u a million times for that.”
Excited for Lana’s new album, another fan said, “I’m so happy you stuck with you after all these years. You’ve always been authentic and that’s why we love you. Can’t wait for September 5th.”

Ozzy Osbourne's Son Compares Him to The Beatles and Rolling Stones Legends

    Instagram

Jack Osbourne ranks his rocker father, the Black Sabbath frontman, ‘among the Paul McCartneys and Mick Jaggers of the world’ in terms of his career success.
    May 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jack Osbourne had nothing but praise for his rocker dad’s musical legacy in a new interview about his career success.
The former Black Sabbath frontman gets candid about his long struggle with substance abuse, trouble with the law, Parkinson’s battle, and marital issues with his manager wife Sharon in new documentary “The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne”.
Son Jack is among those close to the star who features in the programme and, speaking to Collider ahead of the release this summer 2020, Jack acclaimed him as being “among the Paul McCartneys and Mick Jaggers of the world” in terms of his career success.
He explained, “It’s a very small class of people. When you look at his peers, which he wouldn’t consider his peers ’cause he just doesn’t think that way…”
“He would never consider himself to be in that group, but he is, and it’s a dwindling group of entertainer,” Jack gushed. “But yet, there’s a relatability to my dad, and I’m not sure everyone can necessarily relate to some of the world’s most famous, known recording artists.”
Jack – one of Ozzy and Sharon’s three kids, along with sisters Kelly and Aimee – also said that he hopes that the documentary will show people that Ozzy “isn’t just a one-dimensional figure, if they ever thought that he was.”
“There are many aspects to him, and this is a good look at that. Because of the persona that people have seen my father as, it’s always, ‘What’s wrong with him?’ But I think this documentary rephrases it as, ‘What happened to him?’ ” he shared.
“My dad has had a very fortunate life, but it’s been filled with a lot of turmoil, some of it self-inflicted and some completely out of his hands. (The documentary) is an interesting look at that.”
“The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne” is set to premiere on U.S. network A&E.

Fat Joe Advises DMX to Call Off Rap Battle With Eminem

    WENN

Weighing on the possible VERZUZ battle between the two rap stars, the ‘What’s Luv?’ rapper shares his belief that the ‘X Gon’ Give It to Ya’ hitmaker will lose to his ‘Lean Back’ collaborator.
    May 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Fat Joe has urged fellow rapper DMX to rethink his upcoming rap battle with Eminem – because there’s no way he can win.
Producer N.O.R.E. recently let it slip that VERZUZ battle series bosses Timbaland and Swizz Beatz were setting up a battle royale between Slim Shady and DMX, during which the two hip-hop icons will go head-to-head with a selection of their biggest hits.
But as the world awaits the rap battle for the ages, Eminem’s “Lean Back” collaborator Fat Joe is urging DMX to call it off or taste a crushing defeat.
“I don’t think nobody can f**k with Eminem,” Joe told Drink Champs podcast stars Lenny S, DJ EFN, and N.O.R.E. “DMX got the biggest hits in the world, one of the greatest rappers of all time. Legendary, iconic, superhero. And everything I’m saying is understating, he’s bigger than that.”
“But there’ something about that white boy (Eminem) and his fans.”
And to prove his point, Fat Joe recalled the work Eminem put in on the “Lean Back” track, revealing, “He sent me that same verse 30 different times, saying it with a different tone, lighter tone… he wouldn’t make up his mind. 30 different takes and verses… The same verse…! Different flows… This dude is such a perfectionist.”

Meanwhile, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer have been confirmed as the latest stars to battle via VERZUZ on Instagram Live this weekend, May 23.
“MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND 5/23 @grunggaadzilla vs @kingbeenieman… Sound Clash edition. You ready?!? #VERZUZ,” a post on the rap battle venture’s website reads.

The two dancehall giants have a real-life rivalry, which hit a peak when Beenie Man married Bounty Killa’s former lover, Michelle Downer (D’Angel). They have since played down the feud and last year (19) shared a stage at the 2019 Reggae Sumfest.

Claudia Jordan Claims Nicki Minaj's Fans Harass Her Grandmother and Teen Niece

    WENN/Judy Eddy

In a separate Twitter post, the ‘FOX Soul’ host criticizes those who try to justify the bully, writing, ‘So yall can justify trying to scare a little 15 year old black girl.’
    May 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Claudia Jordan learns how dangerous it is to get involved first hand with Nicki Minaj’s fans. The TV personality shared on her Twitter account that after making some critical remarks about the Trinidadian rapper in a recent episode of the interactive TV show “FOX Soul”, the Barbz started threatening her family members.
“WOW now the Barbz have gone too far. Threatening to ‘BEAT HER’ my 69 year old mother & now harassing my 15 year old niece?” Claudie wrote on Wednesday, May 20. “At the end of the day what will this accomplish but keep your karma bad & get you bought up on charges? WE stay protected-KNOW THIS. #OverATalkShowConvo smh.”

Claudia Jordan claimed that Nicki Minaj’s harassed her family.
In a separate post, she went on to criticize those who try to justify the bully. “So yall can justify trying to scare a little 15 year old black girl- like times aint challenging enough without you barbz being so ridiculous. I hope yall feel good about yourselves. But then again you have to be brainless & soul less to think that is cool or funny. Way to go!” Claudia tweeted.
In response to her posts, a fan told her that “they are going to be on your neck for life. I’ve been apart of the fan base from the start once you pick a fight the grudge is held on to for life.” The fan continued, “I don’t support any threats but I’m sad you don’t see the issue with what you said. Did you hear what Tamar Braxton said?” referring to when Tamar said, “You can’t get too involved in the Barbz and the Queen Bees.”
“Oh so now you want to play the victim LOL okay,” another fan wrote. One fan of Nicki, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj, then warned Claudia, “Keep Onika name out ya mouth next time sis!!”
Claudia angered the Barbz with her recent remarks on “Fox Soul” where she discussed comparison between Nicki and Lil’ Kim made by Usher. “Why are they mad at saying Lil’ Kim paved the way? She did!…What’s wrong with that?…I don’t know why the fans are getting so mad at Usher,” said Claudia.
Usher sparked an online debate regarding the two rappers after he said that “Nicki is a product of Kim” during an episode of “Verzuz” with Swizz Beatz on Sunday, May 17. His remark quickly gained reactions from social media users as Swizz alerted Usher, “You already trending on Twitter right now, by the way.” He went on enthusing, “This is the ‘Verzuz’ effect, king. I see you trending on Twitter! This is special, this is fun.”
