The ‘Juicy’ rapper releases the video as part of Vevo LIFT program just days after making public a dance visual promo for a remix of her hit song that features Nicki Minaj.
    May 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Doja Cat continues to entertain fans amid the coronavirus pandemic using her hit song off new album “Hot Pink”. On Monday, May 4, the “Juicy” rapper came out with a live performance video of “Say So” as part of Vevo LIFT program.
Nearly four-minute-long, the video captures the 24-year-old singing the song seductively all the way through a two-story personalized cat condo created by the Vevo team. Donning a skimpy pink get-up, she completed her look with fluffy cat ears.

This “Say So” video was Doja’s second live performance for Vevo LIFT. Back in early March, she did her “Streets” number in a pool of milk wearing pearl-adorned swimsuit. This live performance video of hers has since drawn over 7 millions views.

Launched in 2011, Vevo LIFT is an artist development program which goal is to put emerging artists under the spotlight using a series of original videos. Previous talents featured on the program included Billie Eilish, Halsey, Khalid, Jorja Smith, SZA, Julia Michaels, YUNGBLUD and Sam Smith.
Doja’s live performance video of “Say So” itself came just days after she released a dance visual video for a remix version of the track that features Nicki Minaj. The dance video presents three ladies rocking hot pink bodysuits and oozed similarity to the “Anaconda” hitmaker’s iconic “Super Bass” video.

Doja, whose real name is Amalaratna Zandile Dlamini, has been described as a self-taught singer-rapper. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she began sharing music in 2013 through Soundcloud. “Say So”, the fifth single off Doja’s sophomore album, has become her most successful track to date. Having gained popularity on social media app TikTok, it became her first Top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 after peaking at number five.

Liam Gallagher Blasts Mark Lanegan Over Claim He Left Oasis Tour Due to Their Altercation

    WENN

Through his tell-all memoir, the former frontman of Screaming Trees brands the ‘Wall of Glass’ singer ‘an obvious poser’ for bailing on the 1996 tour after he stood up to the latter’s bullying.
    May 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Liam Gallagher has slammed American rocker Mark Lanegan for alleging he quit Oasis’ 1996 U.S. tour after an altercation.
The Screaming Trees musician’s band was a support act for the group during the infamously troubled trek, which was marred by cancelled gigs and Liam pulling out of one leg altogether.
According to Mark’s tell-all memoir detailing his rock career and troubles with addiction, the “Wall of Glass” singer bailed on the tour after the American rocker stood up to his bullying – but Liam has denied his version of events in typically robust terms.
He tweeted, “Mark lannegn (sic) here’s how I saw it I asked you your bands name I was f**king around and called it something else you being an upiight (sic) junkie and not having a sense of humour got your little grungy knickers in a twist another bullshitter trying to sell a book LG x.”

Liam Gallagher blasts Mark Lanegan over claim about their tour.
According to British newspaper The Sun, Mark wrote in his book, “I detested bullies and refused to put up with them. Liam Gallagher was an obvious poser, a playground bully.”
“Like all bullies, he was also a total p***y. He had quit and bailed before I could have a go at him before his promised playground battle royale in Miami.”
“Typical, I thought. That phoney motherf**ker had p**sed his pants and gone home to mama before I had a chance to blow this whole thing up myself.”
Detailing their altercation, the “Bed of Roses” hitmaker wrote, “He came up to where we were sitting, ‘Howling Branches,’ he shouted. I realised he was addressing me and attempting a weak joke with the over-the-top intensity of a put-down. F**k off, you stupid f**king idiot,’ was my brief, blase retort.”

Cher Finds Herself Lucky Despite Coronavirus Shutdown of 'Here We Go Again' Tour

    Instagram

Using her time in quarantine to rework ABBA’s classic ‘Chiquitita’, the ‘Believe’ hitmaker will debut her new track on May 8 and release its video as part of UNICEF’s COVID-19 Virtual Special.
    May 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Cher is glad her “Here We Go Again Tour” was shut down in March, because the pop legend knew how dangerous the coronavirus crisis was going to be.
The 73-year-old singer icon was on the road when her 12 March concert in Oklahoma was cancelled and she knew instinctively that government officials were making the right decision to shut everything down.
“I knew more than most Americans because I had friends in Italy who were doing live shows when it was there, and everybody had to just get out,” she tells Billboard. “We were lucky we didn’t all come down with it because my dancers and I were literally two inches away from each other, breathing right into each other’s mouths onstage.”
Cher headed home to Malibu, California to start self-isolating and after a few days of rest and relaxation, she headed to her recording studio to rework ABBA’s classic Chiquitita as her first Spanish-language song.
“I knew I wanted to do something,” she says. “I actually started learning and rehearsing the song when I was in England last year but didn’t record it then.”
The new track will debut on 8 May and the video will premiere as part of UNICEF’s COVID-19 Virtual Special, which begins at 8 P.M. EST on Saturday, May 09, on unicefwontstop.org and youtube.com/uincefusa.

“UNICEF called and I told them I would donate my proceeds from the song…,” Cher tells Billboard. “I shot my part of the video at home and they later sent me the final cut with children from around the world in it. It’s such a beautiful, optimistic experience. It’s great when you can see anything positive now because all of the turmoil we are in.”

    Artist of the Week: DaBaby

The ‘Bob’ hitmaker celebrates his second No. 1 album and shuts his haters up as his third studio installment ‘Blame It on Baby’ climbed atop the Billboard charts.
    May 4, 2020
AceShowbiz – DaBaby is not a one-hit wonder. After making his first breakthrough in 2019, he proved himself to be a hitmaker as he released one successful single after another. Be it his own song or another artist’s where he’s a featured guest, it soared high on the charts and became popular with the crowd.
Some of his big hits included “Suge”, “Intro”, and “Bob” from his first two studio albums. Camila Cabello’s single “My Oh My” where he spits his rhymes also climbed up to the top 20, not just in the U.S. Billboard rankings but also in the singles charts all over the globe.
The 28-year-old Charlotte lyricist has also got recognitions from heavyweight names like Jay-Z and P. Diddy. “Suge” is named one of Jay-Z’s favorite songs of 2019 while Diddy heaped praise on the “Kirk” rapper and crowned him the hottest star in the rap game right now.
DaBaby kept his momentum going by dropping a third studio installment. However, the higher the hill, the stronger the wind blows. As soon as the new album “Blame It on Baby” was released, it became a subject of harsh criticisms by fans on the internet but the “Find My Way” rapper was undeterred.
By the end of the week, the album jumped straight to the first spot on Billboard Hot 200, proving that the mean comments didn’t really represent the masses. The album marked his second No. 1 album and the single “Rockstar” peaked at the top 10 on Hot 100.
Soon after the chart rankings were revealed, he poked fun at the trolls who had been trying to discourage him with their sneers and jeers. He posted a video on Instagram, pretending to get angry and furiously slamming the trash bin before spitting on it.
“This what my trolls do to my music when they put in hard work doin all that hatin and my s**t STILL top the charts,” he wrote in the caption while bragging about his latest accomplishments. He added, “Relax bro, I love y’all too…. no cap. #BlameItOnBaby.”
