      AceShowbiz – ABBA fans are desperate for the group to reunite, according to a new poll from ticket resale site StubHub.
      The Swedish group topped the poll with an impressive 40 per cent, scoring well ahead of runners-up Oasis and One Direction, which landed 28 and 18 per cent of the vote, respectively.
      The Swedish pop group, comprising members Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, last released new music in 1982, but have maintained their appeal due to the use of their music in movies including “Muriel’s Wedding” in 1995, and the recent “Mamma Mia!” franchise.
      Rockers The Verve, ’90s boyband Boyzone – who called it quits last year (19) – and ’80s indie band The Smiths, followed in the ranking, with 14, 13 and 12 per cent respectively.
      Destiny’s Child (12 per cent), Crowded House (12 per cent), Sugababes (11 per cent) and No Doubt (11 per cent) rounded out the top 10.

      AceShowbiz – Eminem is keeping fans entertained during the coronavirus quarantine with some music of his choice. The Slim Shady has announced that he will be launching his “Music to Be Quarantined By” playlist on his Shade45 SiriusXM Channel on Saturday, May 2.
      The three-hour-long special, which is titled after his recent album “Music to Be Murdered By”, will first air at noon EST. Encores of the show will air all weekend as well as the following week. Announcing the special on his Instagram page, he wrote, “Join me on @shade45 & listen to what I’m listening to on this lockdown! Starts Sat. @ 12PM EST – listen for free.”
      According to reports, the playlist will include songs that Em has been listening to while quarantined in his home. It will feature a bunch of classic hip-hop songs from such legendary artists as Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G., Beastie Boys, MC Lyte, Mobb Deep, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Run DMC and many others.
      Eminem previously teased the playlist earlier this week on “Sway in the Morning”. “It’s what I wanna hear, basically,” he told Sway Calloway on Thursday, April 29. His longtime manager Paul Rosenberg chimed in, “And recommend people to listen to as well.”
      During the coronavirus crisis, Eminem has been giving back to the community. He has donated loads of his Mom’s Spaghetti brand to Detroit healthcare workers and his Marshall Mathers Foundation launched the Love Your DJ campaign to help DJs who saw their income suddenly curtailed by the closure of venues and social gatherings across the globe. The challenge offered Michigan DJs a chance to win $313 cash payments by submitting their own mixes inclusion in the weekend takeover.
      The 47-year-old emcee is also teaming up with StockX to give away a rare pair of his Air Jordan 4 x Carhartt collaboration to be auctioned off for COVID-19 relief benefits. Proceeds will go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.

      AceShowbiz – Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are releasing a duet to raise money for the children of first responders, who have been affected by the coronavirus.
      “Stuck With U” will be released on May 8, 2020 and all net proceeds will benefit the First Responders Children’s Foundation and SB Projects, the organisation founded by the pop stars’ manager, Scooter Braun.
      The money raised will help fund grants and scholarships for children of the first responders caught up in the COVID-19 pandemic.
      “We’re very excited about this for so many reasons,” Grande writes in a statement. “We hope we make a big difference with this and we hope it uplifts you and makes you feel happy and that you love it as much as we do. We’ve had a really great time working on this and we’re so excited for you to hear it.”
      “More than ever we are seeing the selfless, tireless and amazing work that doctors, nurses and healthcare providers give to the world every day,” Bieber adds. “It is our hope we can lend our voices to raise awareness and give much-needed support for them and their families. It’s my honor to come together with my friend Ariana and our SB Projects family to try and do some good.”
      Braun also provided a statement, revealing Grande and Bieber wanted to show “our gratitude to the men and women on the front lines who work tirelessly for our health and safety during this crisis.”
      The pop stars also shared the announcement on Instagram, along with the song’s cover art.
      “Grateful to announce that my friend and i have partnered with @1strcf and @sb_projects on this release,” Grande wrote.
      “Very excited because we have finally done it,” Bieber added.

      The Canadian rapper unveiled his latest release, the “Dark Lane Demo Tapes” in a post on Instagram, with the mix tape debuting on streaming services on Friday, May 1, 2020.
      Among the tracks on the new release are the previously released tracks “Toosie Slide”, “Desires”, “When to Say When”, “Chicago Freestyle”, and “War”, as well as other collaborations with Future, Young Thug, Playboi Carti, and Chris Brown.
      In addition to announcing the tape, Drake also told fans his next studio album, the follow-up to 2018’s “Scorpion”, will arrive this summer.

      AceShowbiz – Doja Cat has enlisted Nicki Minaj in the sassy remix of her 2019 chart-climbing song “Say So”. Upon its release on early Friday, May 1, the song quickly sparked Internet chatter, not because of their collaboration, but because of Nicki’s bar in the remix.
      In the new spin on the retro-grooving pop song, the Harajuku Barbie spits in the outro, “That real a** ain’t keep your n***a home,” prompting many to speculate whom she’s referring to. Many took to Twitter to come with their wild guesses, which mostly mentioned talk show host Wendy Williams.
      “The way Nicki dragged Miss Wendy P Williams so effortlessly #SaySoRMX,” one person commented after listening to the new song. “NICKI DEVOURED THE F**K OUTTA THAT SONG #SaySoRMX,” another tweeted, along with a clip of Wendy on her show.

      While Nicki and Wendy may not have the best relationship after the latter slammed the “Starships” raptress over her marriage to a registered sex offender, Kenneth Petty, the fans could not be more wrong. Debunking the speculation, the Trinidad and Tobago-born star has taken to her Instagram Stories to say that “the line ain’t about Wendy tho.”

      This prompted Internet users to come up with another wild speculation, this time involving Beyonce Knowles. Pointing out the former Destiny’s Child member’s lyrics in “Savage” remix, “If you wanna see some real ass baby here’s yo chance,” one person claimed, “it can’t be about any other rap girls because we all know their ass fake and been fake. so what is this? is she really taking shots at bey? because this one will dead her career.”
      Some others suggested that it’s could be about either Beyonce or Megan Thee Stallion. One of them weighed in, “It’s between meg and Beyonce. And now that I think about it meg dosent have fillers. Beyonce might.”
      Should Nicki really refer to Beyonce, people are warning her about how this might impact her career. “This ain’t what she want Lol. She can barely sell music to her hardcore fans these days,” someone predicted the raptress’ doom.
      Another advised her, “Beyonce has a lot of influence and respect in the streets and in the industry. Nicki can’t afford to go toe to toe with Bey. She better stick to the Meek Mills & the Cardi B’s that she’s use to if she wants to keep Kenny laced in the finest boot cut designer jeans.”
      The original version of “Say So” appears on Doja’s sophomore album “Hot Pink”. The single got a major boost after going viral on TikTok.

      Nick Rhodes and John Taylor crash the virtual event, staged to raise money for healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic in New York City, seconds after it appeared to end.

      AceShowbiz – Duran Duran’s Nick Rhodes and John Taylor thrilled the young cast of Broadway musical “Sing Street” on Thursday, April 30, with a surprise appearance at their livestream event.
      The band’s hit “Rio” appears in both the stage show, which was about to open on the “Great White Way” in March when all productions were shuttered due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2016 film of the same name, directed by John Carney.
      Earlier on Thursday, the band tweeted, “Don’t miss the cast of @SingStreetBway TONIGHT for their at home performance in support of charities fighting COVID-19. Nick & John are ready to rock with them… and send their support to @BCEFA (Broadway Cares) (charity).”

      But the “Save a Prayer” hitmakers didn’t let on that they would be making an appearance at the virtual event, staged to raise money for frontline workers in New York City.

      Seconds after the livestream appeared to end – with the castmembers, all in self-isolation, stepping outside or opening their windows to clap for everyone playing their part in the healthcare battle in New York – Rhodes and Taylor popped up onscreen.
      “Hey Conor, it’s Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran and we’re very happy to support Broadway Cares and the Mayor’s Fund (of new York) in their fight against COVID-19,” Nick said, addressing Sing Street’s main character Conor, lead singer of the titular Dublin, Ireland band, played by Brenock O’Connor. Brenock was seen onscreen after the musician’s shock appearance with his mouth open in shock.
      Then, while strumming his bass guitar, John said, “It’s John Taylor from Duran Duran. The work these workers are doing, these frontline fighters is crucial to getting our world back to being an ordinary world,” referencing the British band’s 1992 hit, “Ordinary World”.
      “Yeah,” added Nick, “and we look forward to seeing you… on Broadway and we hope it’s not too far away. Good luck.”
      “Sing Street” songwriter and livestream producer Gary Clark explained to WENN, “Duran Duran is huge to Conor, that’s Conor’s early inspiration.”

      The 23-year-old singer will debut a number of new tracks as he performs to fans from the comfort of his own home, amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
      “It’s an interesting time for musicians with the nature of business changing so rapidly and everything still very up in the air for the future,” he told Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph on Thursday. “(I’m) trying to stay creative and keep the flow going while being stuck inside.”
      “The positive thing is I’m still able to do things like MTV Unplugged to keep the connection rocking with my listeners.”
      Despite the unconventional set-up, Cody, who’s currently in lockdown with girlfriend Miley Cyrus, said it had actually been a “liberating” experience to play music on his own, allowing him “the freedom to follow my mind wherever it takes me throughout a song or a performance”.
      “This is an epic series that’s taken on a whole new life and is bringing cool entertainment and music to people’s homes amidst this trying time,” he added of the venture. “(I’m) very happy to be a part of it.”
