Even though the postponement is inevitable because putting everyone’s well-being should be the top priority, that doesn’t stop fans of the popular Starz TV show from feeling disappointed.
    Mar 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – Coronavirus outbreak appears to be pissing off 50 Cent. The rapper/actor/producer recently took to his social media account to address the postponement of the production on the much-anticipated spin-offs of Starz’s “Power”, “Power Book II: Ghost” and “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”.
The “In Da Club” hitmaker shared on Saturday, March 14 a screenshot of an article that broke the news of the decision. “i had to do it we were the last production still working. f**k,” Fiddy begrudgingly wrote in the caption.
His followers assured him that it was the best decision because “Health comes first. Can’t knock it fif.” Another person added, “Better safe than sorry. In this case.” One other said, “Don’t worry champ @50cent Things will bounce back better.”
Commenting on how Coronavirus disease has massively affected the industry, someone commented, “WOW this corona s**t is f***in up everything.” Echoing the sentiment, one person added, “Smh corona messing up moves.”
Even though the postponement was inevitable because putting everyone’s well-being should be the top priority, that didn’t stop fans from feeling disappointed. “Damn. Right when we need power in case they make us stay indoors,” one noted. “Yeah but 50 what we gonna watch now when we’re ill with coronavirus, your shows are the illest knowwhatimsayin #trailerparkboys,” someone else wrote.
As reported back in February, Starz ordered 3 “Power” spin-offs, “Power Book III: Raising Kanan”, “Power Book IV: Influence” and “Power Book V: Force”, in addition to the already announced “Power Book II: Ghost”.
“Raising Kanan” is set to follow Kanan Stark during the ’90s as a prequel series. “Influence” will center on the character of Rashad Tate, while “Force” will tell the story about Tommy Egan leaving New York for good. As for “Ghost”, the upcoming show will continue where the original series leaves off.
“In television history, only a select few shows have inspired four consecutive series extensions, launched into active production and development at the same time,” said Jeffrey Hirsch, president and CEO of Starz. “These new and exciting chapters will continue the journey of some of ‘Power’ ‘s most controversial characters while featuring a growing ensemble of complex, distinct characters along with the high-octane drama that set ‘Power’ in a class of its own.”

'Power' Star Omari Hardwick snaps at Fans Clowning Him Over Character Ghost

    WENN/Instar

Upon seeing the ‘Power’ actor’s new Instagram post, people seemingly assume on the comment section that he is currently going through some kind of Ghost withdrawals, much to his dislike.
    Feb 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – Fans may have to start differentiate between the actors and the characters they are playing in TV series or movies. Omari Hardwick stunned people with his role as Ghost on Starz’s hit series “Power”, which ended two weeks ago, but he still wants everyone know that he isn’t above the role’s tactics.
Omari took to his Instagram account on Thursday, February 20 to share a photo of him while quoting the poem called “Invictus” by William Ernest Henley. The post, however, made people assume that Omari was going through some kind of Ghost withdrawals, much to his dislike.
“You miss being Ghost don’t you?” asked one follower, to which the actor replied firmly, “No. Left everything in him & left it all on the floor literally. No.” Someone also struck Omari’s nerve by commenting, “We want ghost f**k what you talking about.” Another fan agreed, saying, “honestly I agree holy s**t .. he was kool until I hear him in real life .. matter fact where’s tommy.”
In response to the insult, Omari wrote, “now you ….you the clown. When i slap the s**t outa you (cuz you don’t deserve more than that) outa you….i will remind you thas from me, Omari. B***h a** f**k boy. Go be just THAT. Clown a** n***as. Should go ask your Momz if she can rebirth you. Matta fact….go find Tommy & Joe. See if they don’t say the same.”

Fans quickly jumped into Omari’s defense. “you’re so disrespectful and that’s why he doesn’t miss it!” one of them said. “He is Omari, not Ghost. He gave his all during Ghost, a charter’s existence. Allow him to explore and be he!! You can’t be a fan speaking like this! Sad.” Another added, “well YOU wanted ghost don’t go looking for Tommy you no how he get down you might end up dead.”
“Power” aired its finale on Sunday, February 9. The episode revealed the biggest mystery about the identity who shot Ghost to death. The finale saw that Tariq St. Patrick, Ghost and Tasha’s only son, was the person to pull the trigger and shoot his father in the chest, causing him to tumble off a nightclub balcony and later meet his demise.

'Power' Star Michael Rainey Gets '326 Death Threats' Amid Claims His Character Shot Ghost

    Starz

Naturi Naughton, who portrays his mother and Ghost’s wife Tasha, is among those who react to the revelation in the comment section of Michael’s recent Instagram post.
    Jan 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Some people apparently can’t separate fictional characters from real life actors. As hit Starz “Power” is coming to an end, fans of the series are getting wild and that includes to harass one of its cast members for allegedly killing their favorite character on the TV series.
The leading man of the show James “Ghost” St. Patrick (Omari Hardwick) has been killed and people are eager to find out who was the culprit. Now, a leaked version of the ending shows that the one who shot the fan-favorite character was none other than James’ son Tariq, played by Michael Rainey Jr., because he had a serious vendetta against his father.
In the clip Tariq could be seen telling Ghost, “I can’t go back,” to which the latter responded, “Hey, son, I love you, okay?” Tariq then pulled the trigger.
That seemingly drove fans mad. Their strong attachment to the story appeared to make them think it was okay to harass the actor in real life as Michael took to his Instagram account to rant about the numerous death threats he’s been receiving over the plot of the TV show he’s starring on.
Sharing on Instagram on Wednesday, January 22 a slew of pictures of him donning a confused expression, Michael wrote in the caption, “Me going through my dms tryna figure out why I have 326 death threat messages.”

Naturi Naughton, who portrays his mother and Ghost’s wife Tasha, was among those who reacted to the revelation in the comment section. She apparently found that funny yet unnecessary as she left a couple of laughing and face-palming emojis. La La Anthony, who plays LaKeisha Grant on the show, also commented, putting some face-palming emojis.
“Strange world we live in. SMH!!! It’s just a show people,” a fan wrote. Meanwhile, some fans praised him for his stunning performance on the series. “Cause you play the hell out of that Power role, my man.. keep shinning Bro!” one fan wrote.
The final and sixth season of “Power” airs on Sundays at 8 P.M. ET.
