    Josh Duhamel Praises 'Absolute Pro' Jennifer Lopez Post-'Shotgun Wedding' Filming

    Looking back at his experience shooting the romcom in the Dominican Republic, the former ‘Las Vegas’ star gushes that the ‘On the Floor’ hitmaker was ‘a dream to work with.’

    Josh Duhamel has hailed Jennifer Lopez “a dream to work with”. The actor plays “On the Floor” star Jennifer’s on-screen love interest Tom in the upcoming rom-com “Shotgun Wedding” and admitted shooting the flick in the Dominican Republic with Jennifer was the best experience of his career so far.

    “It was one of the most fun experiences I’ve had shooting, or working in this business,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “First of all, we’re in the Dominican Republic, which is absolutely beautiful. Jen was a dream to work with, she’s an absolute pro and totally engaged and loved the project.”

    The pair have been good friends for a long time so it was a breeze, with Josh adding, “We had a great relationship. I’ve known her forever so it was easy for us to get in lock and step.”

    “The crew, the cast, we have a great cast and Jason Moore, the director, it was one of those situations that everything kind of fit perfectly. I’m very proud of the way it turned out and I can’t wait for it all to come together.”

    The plot follows Tom and Darcy (Jennifer) as their “extravagant destination wedding is hijacked by criminals”. Josh took over the lead role from Armie Hammer, who has been accused by multiple women of being controlling and abusive in relationships, while exhibiting odd sex fetishes and cannibalistic fantasies.

    Armie announced his exit in mid-January. In a released statement, he said, “…in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.” He has since also been accused of rape, which is currently under investigation by Los Angeles Police.

      AceShowbiz – Josh Duhamel has officially replaced embattled Armie Hammer in Jennifer Lopez’s new romantic comedy, “Shotgun Wedding”.
      Hammer exited the project last month amid a sex and direct messaging scandal, insisting he couldn’t commit to being away from his children on location while his reputation was being ripped apart by multiple ex-girlfriends.
      It was quickly reported that “Transformers” star Josh Duhamel was being considered as his replacement, and now he is officially boarding the Lionsgate film, which will also feature Jennifer Coolidge and Sonia Braga.
      “We couldn’t be happier for our bride and groom of this Shotgun Wedding,” Erin Westerman, the president of production for the Lionsgate Motion Pictures Group, says. “We know Josh and Jennifer will make a compelling and sexy on-screen couple and they will be fun sparring partners as their dream destination wedding erupts into a memorable nightmare.”

      “We are also thrilled to bring Jennifer and Sonia on to our cast as Mothers of the Bride and Groom. Their acting and comedic talents will add another fun layer to this already-rich action-comedy.”
      Lopez and Duhamel will play a couple whose destination wedding turns into a nightmare when the bride and groom-to-be and their guests are taken hostage.
      Jason Moore will direct from a screenplay by Mark Hammer and Liz Meriwether. Filming will begin next month (Mar21).
      When announcing his departure from the movie, Armie Hammer said in January, “I’m not responding to these b******t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.”

      AceShowbiz – Josh Duhamel may be a potential replacement for Armie Hammer in “Shotgun Wedding”. Around a week after the “Call Me by Your Name” star exited the project due to leaked DM scandal, the “Life as We Know It” actor is reported to be in talks to star in the romantic action comedy.
      Revealing Josh’s possible appearance in the Lionsgate film was The Hollywood Reporter. The outlet noted that the 48-year-old actor is “now in negotiations” to star opposite Jennifer Lopez, who was “said to have had a say in the process.” It was further claimed that the actor’s name was mentioned early.
      The news came after Armie announced his departure from the movie in the wake of his leaked DM scandal. “I’m not responding to these b******t claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,” he said in a statement released on Wednesday, January 13.

      The Maxim DeWinter of “Rebecca” went on to add, “Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.” A representative for the production echoed his statement by saying, “[He] has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision.”
      Armie’s leaked DMs allegedly contained sexual messages which described cannibalism fantasies. One text read, “I am 100 per cent a cannibal. I want to eat you.” Another message alleged that the father of two had cut “the heart out of an animal” and ate it. Other screenshots include alleged messages from him asking whether he can drink people’s blood.
      Supporting the allegations was his ex-girlfriend Courtney Vucekovich. “He said to me he wants to break my rib and barbecue and eat it,” she told Page Six. “[I thought], ‘F**k, that was weird,’ but you never think about it again. He says, ‘I want to take a bite out of you.’ If I had a little cut on my hand he’d, like, suck it or lick it. That’s about as weird as we got… He likes the idea of skin in his teeth.”

      AceShowbiz – Armie Hammer has broken his silence after his alleged DMs leaked online and caused social media chatter. Following the scandal, the actor has departed an upcoming movie, “Shotgun Wedding”, in which he was supposed to act alongside Jennifer Lopez.
      Addressing his exit from the movie in light of the scandal, the 34-year-old father of two decried “the vicious and spurious online attacks” against him as he cited concern over his children as the reason why he exited the project. “I’m not responding to these b******* claims,” he said in a statement released on Wednesday, January 13.
      “…but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic,” Armie added. On the studio’s reaction to his exit, he claimed, “Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that.”

      Echoing Armie’s statement, a representative for the production said, “Armie has requested to step away from the film and we support him in his decision.” Production on the romantic adventure film is set to begin immediately, but his role will now be recast.
      This arrives after Armie’s alleged DMs leaked online, exposing his text messages to women which described graphic accounts of sex acts and cannibalism. “I am 100 per cent a cannibal. I want to eat you,” one message read. Another message alleged that the actor had cut “the heart out of an animal” and ate it. Other screenshots include alleged messages from the actor asking if he can drink people’s blood.
      Armie was trending on Twitter following the leaked DMs, with his rumored former flame Jessica Ciencin Henriquez confirming that the leaked DMs are real. “If you are still questioning whether or not those Armie Hammer DMs are real (and they are) maybe you should start questioning why we live in a culture willing to give abusers the benefit of the doubt instead of victims,” she wrote in a now-deleted tweet, adding, “TW// sexual violence.”
