All the celebs in Carl’s Jr adverts as ‘bikinis and burgers’ make Super Bowl comeback

The Super Bowl 2025 offered a range of eye-widening moments – from Donald Trump’s appearance marking the first ever attendance of a sitting US President, to Taylor Swift getting ‘booed’, Kendrick Lamar’s savage diss,oh, and the Chiefs vs Eagles game itself. But, it wasn’t just the flashy A-lister appearances or the arrival of the big orange man baby that has got everyone talking. During the ad breaks, mega TikTok star Alix Earle braced the screen scantily clad all in the name of burgers. The stunning blonde, who boasts 7.2million followers and a further 4million on Instagram, modelled a star bikini top that just about maintained her decency in the campaign for Carl’s Jr – a US fast food brand. Paired with a denim mini skirt and some cowboy boots, Alix advertised the ‘hangover burger’ – that US customers can get for free today (10 February) – while strutting around a set decorated with partied-out men. She then seductively, in slow motion, lifts her hand to her mouth to take a bite out of the burger, which ‘squirts’ sauce in a bloke’s face.Alix then cheekily read out the terms of the deal before she hopped in a car, where rowdy men cheered and followed behind her. alixWhile the ad has gone down a treat with many male sports fans, it also signals the comeback of the controversial adverts that proved popular in the early 00s. The style of advert, featuring bikini-clad models and celebs, first started in 2005 with Paris Hilton washing a car to advertise the Texas BBQ Thickburger, which saw her eat a fried jalapeno off a car. This advert proved so distasteful it was banned in New Zealand. Critics of the ‘bikini and burgers’ adverts that were weened out by the mid-2010s declared that they ‘hyper-sexualised’ and ‘objectified’ women. However, it looks like Carl’s Jr bikini and burgers are back with a bang as the TikTok Alix Earle welcomes in a new age of the adult-themed advertisements. Here, we take a look at who has featured in the past – including a Kardashian and an iconic German model. More
