The daughter of Katie Price and Peter Andre opened up about experiencing “dark times” during her own television programme.She’s now prepared to step into the limelight independently, having observed both her parents pursue careers in show business. Princess, 18, has allowed cameras into her residence as she carves out her path as an influencer.Yet, in her fresh ITV2 series The Princess Diaries, the teenager has revealed that life hasn’t always been straightforward for her. This follows her mother Katie Price causing concern amongst fans with her appearance in a family photograph after discussing her weight loss.She has confronted distressing recollections of her glamour model mother Katie’s separation from Pete, alongside her other highly publicised romances. In a frank revelation, Princess stated: “I did have a counsellor, I do still see her every now and then.Princess has recalled ‘dark times’ in her childhood(Image: Getty Images)”But I don’t feel like I can really talk, so I just write everything down in my notes. I do wish, like, I could have had a more happier childhood. In the sense of like, I had so many things on my plate at a young age.”, reports the Mirror.Princess expressed that she wishes she “wasn’t like that” and that she had matters weighing on her mind whilst being extremely young. She did recognise “good times” during her childhood and spoke about Katie’s separation from Kieran Hayler when she was 10-years-old.Katie and Kieran were wed for eight years but endured a turbulent relationship, plagued by cheating allegations. They formally separated in May 2018, though their marriage officially lasted from 2013 to 2021.The former pair are parents to two youngsters, Jett and Bunny. Princess revealed that “everything kind of went downhill” as she and her siblings became “really close to him and loved him.”My mum, obviously being heartbroken, didn’t deal with that in the best way, she went through a very, very dark time, which is understandable,” Princess revealed.She says she knew her parents didn’t like each other(Image: peterandre/Instagram)”Which is hard for me because I was around adulty things that kids should never see and I think as well, when we needed our mum there, she wasn’t emotionally able to be there because she had so much of her own problems going on.”In a heart-wrenching admission, she described how she would come home from school early to “get into bed and cry”.
