Performing in a dazzling pink catsuit while heavily pregnant with her son Junior, she sang Not Just Anybody.Despite her glitzy outfit and determination, she lost out to Javine Hylton, who went on to represent the UK that year. Looking back, Katie has admitted she threw herself into the contest with confidence but joked that not everyone took her music as seriously as she did.Katie auditioned for Eurovision in 2005(Image: PA)That same year, she teamed up with her then-husband Peter Andre for what became her best-known musical moment, however, her latest chart resurgence may now give this a run for its money. The couple released a cover of Disney classic A Whole New World in 2006, which stormed into the UK charts and landed in the Top 20. The album of the same name was released just before Christmas and quickly became a fan favourite for those fascinated by the loved-up pair at the time. Katie has since described the record as a “special moment” in her life, tied up with memories of her marriage and family.Following her split from Peter, Katie kept her pop dreams alive and in 2010, she unveiled the single Free To Love Again, a dance-pop track that marked her first solo attempt to establish herself as a singer.Katie also released an album with her ex husband Peter (Image: Rationality/Youtube)Despite big promotion, it peaked at number 60 in the charts and critics weren’t kind, though Price remained unfazed, insisting she enjoyed the process of recording and performing.More recently, Katie surprised fans by releasing I Got U in 2017, returning to upbeat club-inspired sounds. The single, accompanied by a flashy video, showed that even after years away from the charts, the Pricey still had a passion for music and wasn’t afraid to give it another go.Though it didn’t do too well at the time, this week fans have pushed it to number three in the top charts and number one on the iTunes chart.Article continues belowKatie proudly celebrated the achievement on social media, calling it “a dream come true” and thanking her loyal supporters for helping her land her biggest chart success to date.Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox?
