Why are we giving hand outs to illegal immigrants when some people are struggling in this country as it is?”And it’s even more alarming that these ‘asylum seekers’ are passing through multiple other safe countries to arrive here. If they were fleeing danger, then surely they would stay in the first safe country they arrive at.”The answer is, because this government is weak and we give too much.”Realistically if there were two boxes, one with £10 and the other with £1,000 any person would take the box with £1,000.”The government is fuelling illegal immigration by offering the £1,000 box.”Rylan started his comments on This Morning by praising “legal immigration”.Rylan Clark spoke of the ‘narrative’ that migrants who enter the UK are given handouts while Brits suffer(Image: ITV)He said: “A lot of the nurses, the doctors that have saved my mum’s life have come over here from other countries. They’re living a great life, they’re paying into this tax system, they’re helping this country thrive.”He went on: “I find it absolutely insane that all these people are risking their lives coming across the Channel.”And when they get here, it does seem, and I think this is why a lot of Labour voters as well are saying there’s something wrong, it feels like ‘Welcome, come on in’. That’s the narrative we’re being fed.”Here’s the iPad. Here’s the NHS in reception of your hotel. Here’s three meals a day. Here’s a games room in the hotel. Have a lovely time and welcome.”Article continues belowHe later released a statement on social media saying: “You can be pro immigration and against illegal routes. You can support trans people and have the utmost respect for women.”You can be heterosexual and still support gay rights. The list continues. Stop with this putting everyone in a box exercise and maybe have conversations instead of shouting on Twitter.”Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox?
