Jeremy Clarkson blasts ‘woke parents’ and ‘irritating kids’ in savage rant

Clarkson’s Farm star Jeremy Clarkson has unleashed furious insults at so-called “woke parents” as he issues parenting advice to save a “generation of irritating children”08:55, 28 Aug 2025Jeremy Clarkson has launched a blistering attack on so-called “woke parents”.The former Top Gear star claims they are terrifying their youngsters with relentless climate change warnings. The 65-year-old presenter, now famous for his hit Amazon show Clarkson’s Farm, slammed certain parents for connecting rural scenes to environmental disaster. In his latest Sun column, Clarkson blasted them for making children become “irritating like Greta” in a brutal assault on what he considers a destructive parenting approach. He said: “Parents have been warned that if they take their children into the countryside, all the wildlife and all the greenery could trigger worries about climate change,” reports the Express.Jeremy Clarkson called out “woke parents” in his column for The Sun(Image: Qian Jun/MB Media, Getty Images)”This is probably true if you’re the sort of parent who tells your kids that the cow they’re looking at is causing global warming, or that the berries in the hedges mean we’ll soon all be consumed by a raging firestorm.”He said parents who identify yellowing leaves in August as “a sure sign we will all be burning by next weekend.”The Clarkson’s Farm star is clearly unimpressed with some parents’ behaviour(Image: Getty Images)Clarkson claimed these comments frighten children and will produce a generation of worried teenagers: “If you’re the sort of halfwit who says these things then yes, the poor little mites will probably have such an enormous anxiety attack that they’ll grow up to be as irritating as Greta Thunberg.”Clarkson drew comparisons with his own recent experiences alongside his two young grandchildren, both “city kids,” who he said adored their visits to his Oxfordshire farm. They gathered eggs, plucked raspberries and enjoyed the countryside without speaking about disappearing ice caps or devastating blazes. The TV star gave an anecdote about his own grandchildren(Image: Tom Wren / SWNS)”At no point did I feel compelled to say that the only reason we can grow durum wheat in Britain is because it’s a bit warmer here these days. I didn’t then show them all the forlorn ash trees killed by some godawful disease, because why would I? They’re kids. And it’s my job to make them happy, not miserable.””I like to think that when they get there, they will look back on their two weeks in the countryside with fondness. Not a fear that it’ll all soon disappear.”Join the Daily Star’s WhatsApp for the sexiest headlines, showbiz gossip and lots moreThe Daily Star is now on WhatsApp and we want you to join us!Through the app, we’ll send you the sassiest showbiz stories, some naught headline and a seismic smattering of aliens…along with the latest breaking news of course. To join our community, all you have to do to join isclick on this link, select ‘Join Chat’ and you’re in!No one will be able to see who has sign up and no one can send messages except for the Daily Star team. Davina McCall ‘terrified she’d die’ before brain surgery after tragic family loss

Davina McCall has opened up about her fears of dying in the past, and how she’s now not afraid of the idea07:57, 28 Aug 2025Davina has been honest about her journey since the diagnosis(Image: Davina McCall on Instagram)Davina McCall has candidly discussed her experience of her 2024 diagnosis of a benign brain tumour. The television favourite has now confessed that she no longer fears death in a chat with Good Housekeeping UK.The Masked Singer panellist told her followers in November last year that doctors had discovered a colloid cyst during a health screening she received as part of her menopause campaigning efforts. She underwent an operation to extract the tumour and spent time in intensive care before recuperating at home with support from her partner, celebrity hairstylist Michael Douglas. The NHS states that non-malignant brain tumours are more prevalent in individuals aged over 50, with symptoms including headaches, vision difficulties and drowsiness, whilst some can be “difficult to remove without damaging surrounding tissue”. Chemotherapy or radiotherapy may also be employed if surgical intervention proves unsuccessful.Davina McCall revealed her surgery scar where a benign tumour was removed earlier in December(Image: Michael Douglas on Instagram)She disclosed that following a scan, medics informed her it was an unusual form of tumour that “very, very rarely” can “cause sudden death”, reports the Manchester Evening News.Davina revealed her previous anxieties: “I’ve been terrified of dying my whole life – my mum died quite young, my dad died quite young, and my sister died very young.”I thought: ‘I have to come to terms with the fact that I might not make it, so what do I have to do to make that OK?’ I had to let go of the outcome and be able to go to sleep without the abject horror of the idea of dying.Davina said getting everything out on the table made it less daunting(Image: INSTAGRAM)”I said to Michael: ‘If I go, I really need you to keep plugged in to the kids [Holly, Tilly and Chester, who she shares with her ex-husband Matthew Robertson] and stay in their lives.'”We were both scared, but we were honest and told each other that. It made the whole thing less daunting, knowing that everything was out on the table.”The star previously revealed to Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast that she is “not afraid of dying any more” following her surgery for the benign tumour.Davina McCall spoke to Good Housekeeping UK(Image: Jonty Davies / Good Housekeeping UK)Davina continued: “Michael and I just did a casual chat in the kitchen. I said: ‘Look, we know what it is and we know where it is, it’s quite rare, but we’ve found somebody who’s done the operation before and he feels confident.'”I didn’t talk to them about dying, but I did write each of them a letter and I did my will.”I thought: ‘You’re all great kids and you’ll all be fine if I don’t make it – of course, I want to make it, but if I don’t, you’ll all turn out great.’Article continues below”I don’t want to read (the letters) now, as if I’d died, but I do want them to know that I’m proud of them.”The full interview can be read now in the October issue of Good Housekeeping UKWant all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Brooklyn Beckham’s savage swipe at family as he tells reason he’d return to UK

Brooklyn Beckham has been at war with his family in recent months, with the Beckham’s being snubbed from his vow renewal ceremony with wife Nicola Peltz21:43, 27 Aug 2025Brooklyn revealed why he would move back to the UK(Image: Dave Benett/Getty Images for Hugo Boss)Brooklyn Beckham took a swipe at his family during a chat with chef Michel Roux Jr in a recently posted social media video. The eldest Beckham son has been locked in a bitter row with his parents, David and Victoria, along with the rest of his immediate family for several months. Most recently, the Beckhams were notably absent from Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz’s vow renewal ceremony, which took place at the actress’s father’s vast estate.Brooklyn and his spouse posted numerous romantic photos on social media, but fans were split after spotting that his family were completely missing from the celebrations. He has been feuding with his family(Image: Dave Benett/Getty Images for Experience Abu Dhabi)Now, wannabe chef Brooklyn has taken to his platform to share a cooking clip promoting his hot sauce brand Cloud23 alongside world-renowned chef Michel, reports the Mirror. The pair whipped up a gammon dish featuring the hot sauce.Brooklyn had jetted to London from Los Angeles to film the segment, with him and Michel creating culinary magic in the Wigmore Restaurant at the Langham Hotel.During the video, he delivered a subtle dig at his family, claiming the meal they were preparing was the sole reason he’d bother returning to England.Brooklyn was last spotted in London earlier this year, but notably skipped his father’s 50th birthday festivities.Brooklyn has culinary skills(Image: brooklynpeltzbeckham/Instagram)Opening the video, Michel explained: “We are always looking for new dishes here at the Wigmore, but based on great classics. So gammon, egg and chips is a great British classic.”Brooklyn then looked back fondly at his childhood, saying: “I used to have this every Tuesday night. I love gammon. You can’t go wrong with gammon, egg and chips.”Michel utilised Brooklyn’s hot sauce to add colour to the meat, ‘just to mark it’ before glazing it in the oven and presenting the dish alongside a fried egg and shoestring fries. After completing the dish, Michel declared it would be a ‘hot seller’ and predicted it would be ‘flying out the kitchen’. Brooklyn responded: “I’m definitely going to just come to London to have that.”Brooklyn is married to Nicol Peltz(Image: nicolaannepeltzbeckham/Instagram)This follows Brooklyn’s touching speech about his wife in front of 200 guests at their vow renewal ceremony on August 2.A source close to the pair revealed: “He spoke from the heart – and at the centre of his heart is Nicola, whom he loves very dearly, but also the Peltz family, who have really stuck by his side. He wanted to recognise them all, and was determined to do them all justice.”Article continues belowReports of the “heartfelt tribute” to Nicola’s billionaire parents, Nelson and Claudia, will intensify the pain for the Beckham family, who have been excluded from his life. It’s believed there was no comparable tribute to his own parents.During the private ceremony, Nicola donned a redesigned version of Claudia’s wedding dress, with Nelson officiating the proceedings.Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox?
