Emmerdale star addresses future with on-screen husband after squirming over raunchy scene

The Emmerdale favourite admitted there’s one scene in particular that she can’t watch back, as she reflected on her 16 years on the ITV soap so far15:14, 26 Aug 2025Updated 15:50, 26 Aug 2025Emmerdale’s Moira and Cain Dingle have been married since 2014 Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle actress Natalie J. Robb has opened up about her character’s time on the soap, and why she can’t watch back a particular scene. Natalie, 50, joined the ITV drama back in 2009 as part of a new farming family, the Bartons, following appearances in the likes of EastEnders, Holby City and Taggart and The Bill. Her character’s early storylines mostly revolved around her marriage to childhood sweetheart, John Barton (James Thornton), and their three children, before things fell apart.Over time, financial worries and emotional distance drove a wedge between the pair, and Moira then began an affair with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), which John discovered after Cain taunted him about it.After John asked Moira to leave, the pair later rekindled before tragedy struck and a car accident took John’s life while Moira survived.Natalie’s character went on to marry Cain in 2014, and despite his recent betrayal and a brief split, they remain together currently.Reflecting on her change-up of partners in Emmerdale, the actress admitted she still can’t watch back her first raunchy scenes with Jeff.Sharing her initial reaction to their affair storyline, Natalie said it was “a shock” at first to both her and her now on-screen husband.Natalie J. Robb said she can’t watch back her first raunchy scene with Jeff Hordley “I could see Jeff’s face just kind of like, blank, you know, he’s not the best one for change,” she said in a chat with Matthew Rolland on his Isolation Interviews YouTube Channel.”He had been there a very long time, and I didn’t particularly know Jeff that well at this point,” she continued.”And I was still a newbie, very much a newbie in terms of Emmerdale, in the scale of things then.”I just thought, ‘Okay, right, but that is the job,’ but then I thought, ‘What’s he [the producer] seeing? Where’s that come from?'”.Natalie went on to say at the time she was “really enjoying working with James” and added: “It’s like you have a weird loyalty to your characters as well.”Remembering the first time she and Jeff had to kiss, she continued: “I couldn’t even watch it now, it makes me go red.”It’s quite raunchy and for it’s time, you just think, ‘Oh my goodness’. Somebody sent me it a few years ago and I got really embarrassed.”I literally blushed, so I kind of don’t… I suppose when you see it on screen it doesn’t feel like that when you’re doing it.Emmerdale favourite Moira Dingle has been a part of the soap since 2009″No offence Jeff,” she laughed. “But it doesn’t, it’s like very technical and stuff like that, but when you see it on screen it’s like [shocking].”Natalie went on to say she has since enjoyed the way Moira and Cain have evolved as a couple through their ups and downs.Addressing their on-screen future, she continued: “Yes, I would [like to see them be together forever]. I’d like to see a marriage work, but no marriage is perfect and that’s [the] reality.”Sharing how they portray a real-life couple, Natalie said the pair add in “loads of little bits and bobs” to their scenes, which “makes it more believable as a marriage”.”It clicks, we work well together because of it, but it’s nice to know that some marriages do survive, even though they have some terrible times and hardships to deal with,” she added.Away from scenes with Jeff, Natalie also admitted that she’d like to see Moira “join forces with Kim Tate” for a dramatic storyline in the future, and tackle current issues such as tenant farming.”It would be nice to see them come together somehow as a team, but not for long,” she added, laughing.Article continues belowEmmerdale continues tonight at 7.30pm on ITV and ITVX. He lived a full life and we will miss him deeply.”Frank was appointed president of Columbia Pictures in 1978, subsequently becoming chairman and chief executive. Throughout his leadership, Columbia launched blockbuster films including Kramer vs. Kramer, The Big Chill, Tootsie, Gandhi, Ghostbusters and The Karate Kid.Frank helped Ghostbusters seen the light of dayMoving back to MCA to head Universal Pictures, he continued his winning streak with movies such as Out of Africa, Back to the Future, Mask, Dragnet and The Secret of My Success.Frank’s professional journey also featured a return to Columbia during the 1990s, where he managed productions including A League of Their Own and Dracula. Many of the films distributed during his leadership swept the Academy Awards – Kramer vs. Kramer claimed five Oscars, Gandhi secured eight, and Out of Africa bagged seven. However, not every venture under his guidance succeeded. John Lydon won’t be back in Sex Pistols as he ‘supports Trump’ says ex-bandmate

Championing President Trump has seemingly ended all hope of the band’s iconic former lead singer John Lydon re-joining the Sex Pistols any time soon, it has been claimed14:04, 26 Aug 2025Updated 14:37, 26 Aug 2025He won’t be back, they’ve claimed(Image: Getty Images)The Sex Pistols wouldn’t want John Lydon back in the band since he started supporting US President Donald Trump, it has been claimed. The punk legends have been criticised by their former frontman for touring with replacement vocalist Frank Carter. However, there is no chance of a reunion since Lydon called Trump a “breath of fresh air” and even wore the MAGA acronym.Bassist Glen Matlock said: “I had a falling out with John early on, without really understanding the reasons. Now, when I see him supporting Trump and making right-wing speeches, I feel like everything becomes clearer and clarifies things I felt but couldn’t express at the time.John Lydon supports Trump, apparently(Image: Getty Images)”Frankly, none of this surprises me. Because John can give good interviews, people parrot what he says. The result is that he makes a lot more noise than he should get credit for. As far as I’m concerned, rock ‘n’ roll has always existed for the people, not to support corrupt oligarchs.”Lydon has attacked his ex bandmates for all sorts in recent times including making the Danny Boyle drama about their career.None of it has surprised the remaining trio says Matlock: “He’s always been like that; he’s cut from different cloth than Steve, Paul, and me. And what made John great once evolved into something strange over time. I think he’s sadly locked himself into a role. But he’s happy with PIL (Public Image Limited). It’s not my thing at all, but good luck to him! Funny guy.”Sex Pistols rocked a huge show at Dreamland, Margate over the recent Bank Holiday with Frank bringing a new energy to their anarchy.Glen said: “You have to be aware that no one is claiming he’s replacing Johnny Rotten. He’s Frank Carter. He’s a different guy with a different kind of energy. When we communicate, we emphasize that we’re Steve, Paul, and Glen from the Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter. It’s a different band in a way.”Sex Pistols have toured extensively without John Lydon(Image: Getty Images)For Frank it’s just honour to be singing Lydon’s lyrics. He said: “Their music and lyrics are more relevant than ever. They’re a reflection on society and our lifestyle.“You might have hoped that, fifty years after these lyrics were written, our world would have evolved. It hasn’t really. But these lyrics are also really cool to sing. Johnny was incredibly gifted at writing lyrics.Article continues below”It’s an honour for me to sing them every night.”For the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. EastEnders’ Natalie Cassidy admits ‘bad career move’ she did ‘just for money’

)”I think: ‘If this is the size I’m meant to be, then I need to be happy with that.’ I don’t overeat. I enjoy my food. So I thought I’d like to say goodbye to Sonia and see what else is going on.”Natalie has been playing Sonia since the early nineties(Image: BBC/Eastenders)Natalie’s autobiography, Happy Days, is set for release in October and promises to “take her readers on a journey through the highs and lows and the changing seasons of life”.
