Tamzin Outhwaite announces eldest child is trans in touching family chat

Former EastEnders star Tamzin Outhwaite has opened up about her child Flo’s journey after they told her they were transgender six years ago11:29, 25 Jul 2025Tamzin Outhwaite has shared that her eldest child is transgender(Image: Brett Cove/SOPA Images/Shutterstock)Tamzin Outhwaite has publicly disclosed that her eldest child is transgender for the first time. The EastEnders actress, who was married to actor Tom Ellis, confessed she was initially “distressed” when Flo came out seven years ago, but now comfortably states she has a son and a daughter instead of two daughters. The 54-year-old actress expressed regret over her initial reaction to the news, wishing she could alter it. She described the situation as “very distressing”, leading both her and Flo to seek family therapy for support. She explained: “The way I reacted at the very beginning I would love to change because I think until you’re going through it yourself with your child it’s very difficult to judge other people or to judge a situation because you don’t expect that to happen to you or your child.Tamzin Outhwaite said she initially struggled with Flo’s news(Image: glamzin/Instagram)”What I did initially, I was like ‘don’t be ridiculous’, I didn’t say don’t be ridiculous but my mind went to ‘that’s ludicrous’ and working back from that to talking through it.”Outhwaite shares two children, Flo, 17, and Marnie, 12, with fellow actor Tom Ellis, whom she divorced in 2014, reports the Mirror. While appearing on the Parenting Hell podcast, the actress shared: “I’ve got two kids and I did have two daughters and now I have a son and a daughter and that’s quite easy for me to to say now but it wasn’t maybe six or seven years ago.”We live in a very happy household now, full of jokes, and it’s my favourite place to be at home.”You know they say that as a mum, probably as a parent, that you’re only ever as happy as your unhappiest child and so with that in mind we have had some pretty unhappy years.”Now we’re in a really wonderful place as a family, Flo is in a wonderful place as a brilliant actor, singer, writer, director in his sixth form at school, and Marnie is thriving.Tom and Tamzin share two children together(Image: Getty Images)”So instead of just trying to get through difficult times we are now all thriving and the relief and joy is very tangible.”She went on to say: “It was about when Flo was about 10 or 11 and the maddest thing is, I suppose, is that it’s not the most interesting thing about him.”He’s an incredible, incredibly funny, intelligent boy and I’m watching him grow into a wonderful human who’s very talented and to see him thriving is just nothing but relief and joy for me really because there was some dark times.”Fab bit of family therapy, therapy on Flo’s side so Flo was doing therapy as well. Speaking to other people and realising you weren’t alone was a really, really helpful thing.”I became almost like a padded cell around Flo, almost going ‘it’s okay whatever you want, you want to do this, you want to do that, it’s all okay’, because I think if you push back on a kid they’re going to want to do the opposite of what their parent says so I made everything a possibility.Tamzin was previously married to Tom Ellis(Image: PA)”I didn’t say you can’t be that but it was a very distressing time.”Tamzin also mentioned that while her six-year-old quickly grasped the change, she was worried about her father’s reaction, who is now supportive.”Marnie has been the most insightful about all of it because it’s constantly, from pretty much day one when Marnie was six years old has said ‘this is my brother Flo’.”Flo has many nicknames at school, all sorts of different things, all of the kids are so accepting of everything but I think they’re much more understanding.Article continues below”Whereas obviously there was a time, my dad’s brilliant now and on board, but there was a time where I didn’t want Flo to have the wrath of what my dad had to say about the whole thing.”Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox? Katie Price says cat is spitting image of her as she jokes it’s had ‘boob job’

Katie Price made her fans laugh as she joked that her boobs look like those of her hairless Sphynx cat as she shared a snap of the pet on Instagram to her 2.7m followers11:10, 25 Jul 2025Updated 11:53, 25 Jul 2025Katie shared another pet update online(Image: Getty Images)The old adage that pets resemble their owners certainly holds true in Katie Price’s household. The reality TV personality had a right old laugh with her family on Thursday, playfully comparing her own bosom to that of her hairless Sphynx cat in a sidesplitting Instagram post amid the JJ Slater split rumours. The 47-year-old ex-glamour model, infamous for her numerous breast enhancements, shared a screenshot from her family’s group chat where she’d posted a snap of her pregnant cat, Doris.Katie, who’s been labelled a ‘serial animal killer’ by PETA due to her ‘track record of deaths’, captioned the pic: “Her boobs. Her boobs look like mine,” followed by a string of giggling face emojis.Katie’s kitty is pregnant(Image: katieprice/Instagram/Backgrid)Her 18-year-old daughter Princess Andre swiftly replied to the tongue-in-cheek post, commenting “I’m dead” alongside crying face emojis. Meanwhile, her brother-in-law Harry responded with a voice note of him bursting into laughter. In the caption of her Instagram post, Katie penned: “Our family group chat is going off tonight…pets do look like their owners…” In a prior Instagram Story, the mum-of-five shared a snap of her cat and joked: “Looks like Doris has taken a leaf out of my books and gone to Turkey to get a boob job,” reports the Mirror.Over the weekend, Katie revealed on Instagram that her Sphynx cat Doris was expecting.Katie was previously dubbed a ‘serial animal killer’ by PETA after the deaths of at least eight of her pets. The two-time I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star faced renewed criticism earlier this month for allowing one of her £2,000 Sphynx cats to suffer sunburn during the recent heatwave, with PETA declaring “here we go again”.In a video she shared, the reality star showed her Sphynx cat with a bright red head and back. Petting the feline, she said: “Oh Kevin, you have been in the sun today, you have got sunburnt despite us putting sun cream on you… Look at his little face.”Katie has been slammed by PETA(Image: Getty Images for The Cambridge Union)The accompanying caption read: “Trying to keep the cats out of the sun is hard work.”PETA’s Elisa Allen claimed that the Mucky Mansion personality had consistently disregarded animal welfare guidelines. She commented: “Anyone who warns Katie not to hurt the animals she takes in might as well be screaming into the wind, for all she seems to care. And here we go again: her cat is sunburnt – something she was likely warned about when acquiring a gimmick cat, bred to look odd and be hairless.”The charity advises that cats with “light or no fur can burn easily, which is just one reason to keep them indoors.”It adds: “If they do go into a secure garden, apply vet-approved sunscreen and ensure they have plenty of shade. Cat guardians must stay alert, if you spot redness, swelling, or signs of infection, seek veterinary care immediately.”The animal welfare group expressed concerns after she showcased her new Sphynx cat, Daisy, in November, suggesting that there should be laws in place to prevent her from acquiring more pets.Have you joined Threads? Katie Price gives ‘bum filler update’ and says it’s lead to pain and inflammation

Katie Price has revealed she’s been struggling to sleep and is in pain since having filler injected into her bum, but she’s been using CBD oil to help alleviate her symptomsAndy Gilpin Deputy Editor in Chief and Bang Showbiz09:55, 25 Jul 2025Katie Price has been struggling after having bum filler(Image: BANG Showbiz)Katie Price has opened up about her recent cosmetic procedure woes, revealing that she’s been battling sleepless nights due to “pain and inflammation” after getting filler injections in her backside. The 47-year-old ex-glamour model took to Instagram to share her discomfort following the treatment earlier this week, admitting it’s made her feel “a bit uncomfortable” especially when sitting or walking. However, she’s found solace in CBD oil, which she says has been a huge help.In a video update, Katie said: “Bum filler update … I had my bum done two days ago and I’ve been feeling a bit uncomfortable in that area.”She continued to share her remedy with her followers “So I’ve been taking this today to help with the pain and inflammation and at night sleeping. So it’s been my best friend.”Katie went on to endorse the product: “So yeah, I’ve always said if anyone struggles with sleep, anxiety or pain this in my opinion is the way forward. What would I do without it?”.She added in what was almost certainly a paod post: “I know I’m going to have a goodnight sleep again tonight cause I’m going to put some drops in it and remember when you order this shake it load before taking it. And thank you for all your messages ..”Katie further explained the relief she’s experienced: “So yeah this has been a godsend because I got the train up and where I’m sitting on my bum walking and all of this, this has been a godsend, CBD oil all the way. Love it, love it, love it.”Katie had previously discussed her bottom enhancement procedure on social media, explaining why she opted for injections rather than the more invasive Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) which requires general anaesthetic.Article continues belowShe revealed: “I’m having filler done in my lips, not too much though, and having my bum done. See if I had a BBL in Turkey they’d put me to sleep and it’s more dangerous cause they use your own fat and this is just filler and I’m here for an hour and a half and go back home and carry on with my day.”In her post’s caption, Katie also mentioned how the oil has been a staple in her bag for moments of anxiety or when she needs to unwind: “I’ve been so busy recently that I have been taking my oil out and about with me in my bag for if I get anxious or if I need to take a second to myself and calm down.”Also it has been a massive help with the bum filler! I definitely do feel more comfortable after taking it and I sleep better.” More

Story of Hulk Hogan’s final years, months and hours as ‘religion and pain’ took over

WWE legend Hulk Hogan, who died aged 71 on Thursday, was baptised months before his death in a ceremony that he said was the ‘greatest day of my life’. Tributes have poured in08:51, 25 Jul 2025The final few years of Hulk Hogan’s life was dominated by one thing – but it wasn’t wrestling. The WWE legend, whose real name was Terry Bollea, passed away at 71 on Thursday, and was known for telling children to “take their vitamins and say their prayers” during the 1980s career boom as part of the-then WWF.From using his “24 inch pythons” to take down greats like Andre the Giant and the Macho Man Randy Savage, before moving to arch enemy WCW in the early 1990s, he transcended the sport of professional wrestling to make it a household name worldwide. However, outside of the ring there was something else that dominated his life – especially in his final years, before pain and the WWE fanbase turning against him dominated the final months.A legend in the ringFinal yearsHogan had recently got baptised alongside his third wife, yoga instructor Sky Daily, 45. The intimate ceremony took place at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Largo, Florida, just a few months after they tied the knot in September 2023.Their wedding, also held at the same church, was a celebration of their love, surrounded by close family and friends, after being engaged for a year since July 2023. The 25-year age gap between Hogan and Sky seemed insignificant as they stood together, hand in hand. His transformed and transcended wrestlingDuring the baptism, Hulk wore his iconic bandana and a white T-shirt, while Sky donned a white robe, standing together in the baptismal pool.Hulk took to social media to share photos and videos of this profound experience, expressing his feelings: “No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!”.He further added: “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life.” This ceremony marked a significant reaffirmation of Hogan’s Christian faith, which he initially adopted at 14.Hulk Hogan spent the last two years of his life fully embracing his Christian faith(Image: BANG Showbiz)He attributed his enduring career to his faith, coupled with “training, prayers and vitamins”. The baptism, as described by Sports Spectrum, was “a public profession of Christ”, captured in a heartwarming video of Hogan smiling as he emerged from the water. His revitalised faith was also reflected in his social media posts earlier this year, where he celebrated Christianity, spreading love and redemption messages. Hogan’s death occurred after he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.Although he recently discussed his recovery from spinal surgery with Sky Daily, the cause of his death remains unconfirmed.Final monthsHis final months were spent promoting his Real American Beer brand, being booed by wrestling fans and seemingly hiding the true level of pain he was in. His final WWE appearance in front of a live crowd came on the debut of Monday Night Raw on Netflix in January where he was booed out of the building for his controversial support of Donald Trump, and seemingly looking shocked by the occurrence.Just a week before he died, his ex-manager and long-time pal Jimmy Hart reportedly said the WWE Hall of Famer was unable to talk. On an episode of Bubba The Love Sponge’s podcast on YouTube, co-host Lummy claimed he was told by Hart that: “Hogan’s not doing well. He he can’t speak. His trachea or whatever was damaged and he’s having problems and it does not look good. It does not look at all.”He was a far cry from the icon in his final years(Image: WWE via Getty Images)Bubba, who was once sued by Hogan for leaking a sex tape of his wife and the wrestler, told the channel he had heard from a hospital security guard: “He was transported to his house but he’s still in his hospital bed. It’s just like he’s at the hospital.”They’ve gone as far as they can go at the hospital now. They just they’re keeping him comfortable at his house in a hospital bed.”Bubba’s claims were ridiculed by fans and other close friends of Hogan’s at the time, however it now appears that there was a grain of truth to them.Final hoursMedics rushed to his house as they tried to save the wrestling star in the early hours of Thursday morning. Operators of the 911 call could be heard dispatching paramedics to the scene as they noted the matter was for a cardiac arrest.Officials responded to the call at 9:51am, as Hulk received treatment from Clearwater Fire and Rescue before being taken to a nearby hospital. He died at the hospital, according to reports.Hulk Hogan’s house is seen behind police tape in Clearwater, FloridaA “slew of police cars and EMTs were parked outside Hogan’s home,” before he was taken out on a stretcher, according to TMZ.Hulk’s death was confirmed by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), in a statement on X which read: “WWE is saddened to learn WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has passed away.”One of pop culture’s most recognisable figures, Hogan helped WWE achieve global recognition in the 1980s. WWE extends its condolences to Hogan’s family, friends, and fans.”While his legacy from the 1980s and 1990s is something truely iconic, his pain-filled controversy-laiden latter half of his life tended to tarnish Hulkamania . . . but he still ran wild whichever way you look at it.Article continues belowFor the latest breaking news and stories from across the globe from the Daily Star, sign up for our newsletters. X Factor’s Ella Henderson shares ‘devastating’ health diagnosis after years of pain

Singer Ella Henderson has been diagnosed with endometriosis after years of struggling with unexplained pain and symptoms, and has spoken out about the condition08:24, 25 Jul 2025Updated 08:52, 25 Jul 2025Ella Henderson has opened up about her diagnosis(Image: Instagram/ellahendersonofficial)Ella Henderson has opened up about a health battle she’s been suffering with, describing the diagnosis as both “devastating” and “validating” following years of inexplicable agony. The 29-year-old former X Factor star took to Instagram to share her ordeal with endometriosis, discussing the emotional and physical strain caused by a condition that made her question her own experiences – a diagnosis she shares with Molly-Mae Hague. The NHS characterises endometriosis as “a condition where tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows outside of it, most commonly in the pelvis, around the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and lining of the pelvis. This misplaced tissue can cause inflammation, pain, and potentially fertility issue.”In a heartfelt video, the Ghost hitmaker confessed: “The last few years have been a bit of a rollercoaster to say the least, behind the scenes and I’ve really really been struggling… with not only stomach bloating and physical pain and mental health, because at one point I thought all this pain was in my head and I wasn’t really believed.”The X Factor star has suffered years of debilitating pain(Image: Instagram/ellahendersonofficial)She recounted enduring numerous medical appointments and persistent symptoms before finally being diagnosed in January: “After years of struggling with confusing and challenging health problems including stomach bloating, bowel pain and heavy periods.”Plus countless GP appointments leading to scans, tests and the feeling that maybe the pain was all in my head, I was officially diagnosed with Endometriosis in January this year,” reports the Mirror.A laparoscopy procedure uncovered severe endometriosis and scarring behind her uterus, which also impacted her bladder and bowel functions. The singer says she finally feels ‘validated'(Image: Instagram/ellahendersonofficial)Ella went on: “For those who are unfamiliar with this condition (just like I was only months ago) – endometriosis occurs when cells similar to the ones in the lining of the womb are found elsewhere in the body.”Although receiving the diagnosis proved challenging, Henderson experienced relief in finally understanding what had been causing her pain: “The diagnosis was a difficult one to swallow but on the other hand it feels validating and empowering. It meant I wasn’t imagining things after all, and I could finally find a way forward and take control of my body.”She also drew attention to the wider problem, emphasising how lengthy the wait for answers can be for many sufferers: “My long journey to an endometriosis diagnosis is not unique. It takes on average up to 9 years in the UK, which for many like me, can put an immense mental and physical toll on you.”Ella opened up about the mental health consequences: “Living in chronic pain, not being believed, and constant misdiagnosis led to periods of depression, isolation and anxiety. If health practitioners had recognised my endometriosis symptoms sooner, all that might have been spared.”Ella Henderson has announced her endometriosis diagnosis(Image: Instagram/ellahendersonofficial)Surgery has already brought considerable improvement to her symptoms. Nevertheless, she stressed that managing the condition is not the same as curing it, and her treatment will continue indefinitely.”Although it took a long time (like many women out there) to finally get a definitive diagnosis, it has allowed me to receive appropriate and life-changing support.Article continues below”Which, in my case, was surgery, that so far helped to significantly reduce my symptoms. Unfortunately, there is no actual cure for endometriosis,” she added, “so ongoing management will likely be part of my life, whether that’s through lifestyle changes, pain management, or other treatments.”Ella’s revelation prompted a wave of support from fans and celebrities, who commended her as “brave” for opening up about her diagnosis.Want all the biggest Showbiz and TV news straight to your inbox?
