A police report from TMZ revealed that Morrison was involved in an altercation with the general manager.Article continues belowApparently, the music star became angry over an event he’d been organising with the venue since the day before.Morrison was accused of shoving the manager, Nicola Lavacca, in the torso. Lavacca kept calm and didn’t hit back.Mark Morrison arrested in Florida March 2025The report mentions a bystander stepping in to break it up, coaxing Morrison to take the argument outside, reports the Mirror US.The police charged the singer with a simple battery charge.Afterwards, Morrison posed for a mugshot whilst wearing a blue jumpsuit, but he was freed from jail on Sunday morning after paying up a $1,000 (£775) bond.Morrison’ first shot onto the music scene in the mid-90s and riding high with his smash hit Return of the Mack.The tune became a defining anthem of its era, hailed as one of the quintessential songs of the ’90s R&B scene. Morrison shot to fame with this hit, quickly establishing himself as a rising star in the music world.He didn’t stop there; his first album, Return of the Mack, dropped with bangers like Crazy and Let’s Get Down.But despite hitting high notes in his career, Morrison’s life has been riddled with legal woes and personal setbacks. His rap sheet includes multiple arrests and court disputes.He has been caught up with the law more than onceBack in ’97, he got arrested for trying to sneak a gun onto a plane, landing him a three-month stint behind bars. The next year, he ditched a court date over an offensive weapon charge, choosing to jet off to Barbados instead.In a separate incident, Morrison found himself convicted of affray after a fight that left someone dead, earning him community service.But the plot thickened when it turned out Morrison had hired a doppelganger, Gabriel Maferika, to do his community service while he toured.
