    WENN/Nicky Nelson/Avalon

Snoop’s Instagram post arrives after the Migos rapper reacts to his negative review of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s hit song, which earns some criticism due to its raunchy lyrics.

    Dec 14, 2020
AceShowbiz – Snoop Dogg has sparked chatter over his comments on Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s smash hit “WAP” that earned mixed reviews from listeners. His negative opinion on the explicit song prompted Cardi’s husband Offset to chime in as he defended the Grammy-winning raptress.
When asked by TMZ in Beverly Hills, California, the Migos member respectfully addressed Snoop’s comment on his wife’s song. “I love Snoop, man. [Cardi B is] grown,” Offset said. “I don’t get in females business, so Ima just stay at that. I hate when men do that. I don’t do that.”
“I don’t care if a girl woulda said something bad about me. I just don’t get in females business,” so the “Ghostface Killers” rapper went on to add.

Snoop apparently caught wind of the response. The veteran rapper immediately took to his Instagram account to address the matter, clarifying his stance even though he didn’t explicitly name-drop Offset. “Stop with the bulls**t press I love Cardi b and Meg,” he wrote on Sunday, December 13.

“Music period point blank and they know that I’m n full support of the female. M. C. Movement so stop trying to make me a hater. U. F. D. H. B. Now carry on Before u get this. L. A. D,” he continued. Urging people to just highlight the femcees’ achievement through the song, Snoop added, “That song 6xs platinum talk about that.”

The “Mac and Devin Go to High School” actor shared his two cents on “WAP” during his virtual interview with host Julissa Bermudez for Central Ave on Thursday, December 10. Alluding that the song is too raunchy for his taste, Snoop opined, “Oh my God. Slow down. Like, slow down. And let’s have some imagination. Let’s have some, you know, privacy, some intimacy where he wants to find out as opposed to you telling him.”
“To me it’s like, it’s too fashionable when that in secrecy, that should be a woman’s…that’s like your pride and possession. That’s your jewel of the Nile. That’s what you should hold onto. That should be a possession that no one gets to know about until they know about it,” he further said.
Referring to his 21-year-old daughter, Snoop continued, “My daughter is from a different era, though.” The “Ain’t No Fun (If the Homies Can’t Have None)” rapper added, “She’s from this era. She may be doing the ‘WAP’ or, you know what I’m saying, a part of the ‘WAP,’ but I can’t be mad at her ’cause it’s her generation, you know what I’m saying? But, at the same time, the things that I would rather see, you know, ’cause I’ma older man…”
“Now, when I was young, 21, 22, I may have been with the movement,” the “B****es Ain’t S**t” spitter added. “I probably would have been on the remix. But as an older man, I love it, that they are expressing themselves and doing their thing. I just don’t want it that fashionable to where young girls express themselves like that without even knowing that that is a jewel that they hold onto until the right person comes around.”

Mariah Carey Teases She's Giving Away Snoop Dogg 'A Very Specific Christmas Idea'

    Instagram

The ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ hitmaker has teamed up with the ‘Gin and Juice’ rapper for her new Apple TV-plus special which also features her twins Moroccan and Monroe.

    Dec 5, 2020
AceShowbiz – Mariah Carey’s festive hook-up with Snoop Dogg has inspired a “Christmas idea” the singer is keen to pitch to her new rapper pal.
The pair teamed up for Carey’s new Apple TV+ special, which debuts on Friday, December 4, and she admits Snoop brought something very special to the holiday spectacular.
“He did his part, it’s my new thing,” she tells Billboard. “I’m living for it. I’m waiting to hear back from Snoop about a very specific Christmas idea that I have for him, and I’m giving it away… I didn’t even talk to him about it.”

“I’m not gonna say what he was wearing, but he inspired a notion in me that I’m ready for the world to learn about. That’s a big thing… I wish someone would have suggested this to me, but I can’t do it. He’s more well-suited to do this.”
Mariah refused to elaborate further but reveals her twins Moroccan and Monroe will be joining mum for the TV special, and that has inspired her to consider releasing a song they recorded when they were younger.
“I actually recorded a song with them when they were six that we didn’t release and they were like, ‘Why didn’t we release that?'” Carey adds. “It was so cute, because it was when Rocky (Moroccan) had an accent – well not an accent, but couldn’t really pronounce certain letters yet – and they’re both singing on it. So one of these days I need to be encouraged to release that, but there’s just other stuff going on.”
“I wanted to do more with them in terms of performance, but they’re definitely up onstage, they’re acting in it. So I love that. I loved incorporating them into this festive world that we created.”

  • Snoop Dogg Invites Chika to Do A Collaboration With Him: 'I Love Your S**t'

    WENN/Instagram

The ‘Drop It Like It’s Hot’ hitmaker expresses his eagerness to do a ‘black country song’ collaboration with the fast-rising rapper when he surprised her during an Instagram Live event.
    Aug 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Snoop Dogg is keen to collaborate with rapper CHIKA on a new country song after expressing his admiration for her work.
The star surprised CHIKA during an Instagram Live event on Saturday (August 08) and began praising her work.
“I’m here to tell you I f**k with your music. I love your s**t,” Snoop said. “I play it, I enjoy it. I wanted to tell you that. I didn’t want to, like, let you hear about it. I want you (to) hear it from me, from the Dogg’s mouth.”
Snoop then asked the 23-year-old if she’d like to team up with him for a song, to which she replied: “About what? It depends. I mean, the answer’s yes, duh. But also, about what?”
“As a writer, me myself, when I’m given a task of writing for someone, I like to study what they’ve written and what they’ve done and what they haven’t done,” Snoop added. “I try to give them a piece of themselves that they’ve never tapped into ’cause they can’t really see themselves as good as I can see them.”

She then offered to pen a country song for the mogul, which Snoop insisted he’d be down for.
“I’m writing you a country song. It’s gonna be a black country song,” the Alabama native added. “Southern music, Southern rap especially… It’s a different vibe. It’s a completely different vibe. I’m down for the challenge… This is gonna be some hip-hop country s**t.”
He added: “We gonna mesh. We gonna make this s**t work.”

  • Jay-Z Goes Beyond Snoop Dogg's Expectation With 'Flawless' 'Still D.R.E.' Collaboration

    https://www.beyonce.com/Instagram

During an interview with New York radio show ‘The Breakfast Club’, Snoop confirms that the ‘Empire State of Mind’ hitmaker has served as a ghostwriter for former N.W.A. icon Dr. Dre.
    Aug 3, 2020
AceShowbiz – Jay-Z blew Snoop Dogg away with his artistry after penning all the lyrics for his Dr. Dre collaboration “Still D.R.E.” in just 30 minutes.
The “Empire State of Mind” hitmaker, real name Shawn Carter, is credited as a writer on the 1999 track, and is long known to have served as a ghostwriter for former N.W.A icon Dre.
However, in a recent interview with New York radio show “The Breakfast Club”, Snoop, who features on the hip-hop classic, reveals Jay-Z also came up with his verse, after he and Death Row Records co-founder, The D.O.C., had trouble coming up with anything worthy of the beat, created by Scott Storch, Mel-Man and Dre.
“Me and D.O.C., he’s one of the greatest writers in hip-hop,” Snoop shared. “We’re in here (the studio) writing this song, struggling with this beat. It’s like, the fourth day.”
“Dr. Dre fly a n***a from New York into L.A. We all in the studio; 30 minutes later, that n***a’s s**t is done. He wrote Dre’s s**t and my s**t and it was flawless, and me and D.O.C. was like, ‘Well, looks like this n***a outstruck us on this one… (sic)'”
“It was ‘Still D.R.E.’ and it was Jay-Z and he wrote the whole f**king song,” Snoop revealed.
    [embedded content]
And he insists the track wouldn’t have worked out so well if Jay-Z hadn’t been such a big fan of Dre, because he was able to write perfectly for his tone and cadence.
“Jay-Z is a great writer to begin with for himself, so imagine him striking it for someone he truly loves and appreciates,” Snoop explained. “He loves Dr. Dre and that’s what his pen showed you, that I can’t write for you if I don’t love you. I love everything about you. I know your get down, your tone, your delivery, the way you ‘sposed to say it…(sic)”
“That is (a) great author… That’s one of Dr. Dre’s best records.”

  • Snoop Dogg Shades 'Lame B***h' Celina Powell as He Apologizes to Wife in 'Don't Be Mad at Me' Remix

    WENN/Instagram

The ‘Still a G Thang’ hitmaker appears to allude to his affair with the Instagram thot in the newly-released remix to Problem’s song, which also features Freddie Gibbs.
    Jul 15, 2020
AceShowbiz – Snoop Dogg deeply regrets his episode of infidelity involving Celina Powell and he has let the world know it. Being featured in the newly-released remix to Problem’s song “Don’t Be Mad at Me”, he took the chance to publicly apologize to his wife Shante Taylor while dissing his former side chick as a “lame b***h.”
“I’m tired of sayin’ sorry for the same s**t/ Damn near lost my queen, f**king ’round with that lame b***h,” he spits his verse, before admitting and celebrating his marriage which remains strong despite the affair, “Ashamed of myself ’cause I shamed you/ Good or bad, right or wrong, we always bang through.”
The 48-year-old rhymer continues to sing praise for his lady love, “You’re thicky thick, go and shake it for me baby (Baby)/ Picture perfect, let me take it for you baby (Baby)/ No cap, I ain’t s**t without you/ And I put that on my momma, I’d die for you baby boo.”
    [embedded content]
Snoop doesn’t mention any name in the song, but considering the buzz surrounding the cheating scandal, people could not help but speculate that it’s about his affair with Celina. The Instagram thot exposed their affair in 2018, claiming they had sex while listening to his gospel album “Bible of Love”.
Snoop later flipped the script, saying she’d been nothing more than bait for his new show “Clout Chasers”, which never sees the light of day. In a trailer for the show, Snoop mentions Celina’s infamous plot to fake a paternity test and claims Offset was the father of her child and gives a glimpse at his clout-chasing sting.
Earlier this year, the talk about Snoop and Celina’s affair was reignited by 6ix9ine, after the two rappers got into a back-and-forth on social media. The “GOOBA” hitmaker shared a video of Snoop and Celina together in what looks like a hotel room.
Celina later claimed that Snoop tried to contact her and ask her to team up for revenge against 6ix9ine, but she ignored his calls. “@snoopdogg I’m not interested in teaming up with you against @6ix9ine, stop calling me askin why I’m egging him on,” she wrote in an Instagram post back in May.
As for the song, Problem explained his goal with it in a press release. “I want this song to help couples get through these tough quarantine times together,” he shared. “Don’t sweat the small stuff. Being the bigger person is the key. The song was actually recorded as a real apology. I was wrong about something we had a small argument about and instead of just saying sorry, I went and did the song and sent it to her. It worked lol.”

Snoop Dogg Wants to Battle Jay-Z in Instagram Rap Showdown

    Instagram

Snoop has issued a challenge against Beyonce Knowles’ husband in an Instagram rap battle because he’s the King of the West and the Jiggman is the King of New York.
    May 15, 2020
AceShowbiz – Snoop Dogg wants to face off against Jay-Z as part of Swizz Beatz and Timbaland’s “Verzuz” series of Instagram Live rap battles.
The virtual, livestream contests see each artist play one verse and one chorus from 20 hits they created for fans’ entertainment amid the coronavirus lockdown.
Previous editions have pitted Erykah Badu against Jill Scott, The-Dream up against Sean Garrett, and even Timbaland and Swizzy against one another – and Snoop has big plans for the next instalment.
Speaking to Fat Joe during a recent Instagram Live broadcast about wanting to face off against a rapper at the top of their game, he explained, “Biggie (Smalls, The Notorious B.I.G.) passed away, then Nas had it for a minute and then Jay-Z took it and ran with it for a numerous amount of years.”
“Then 50 Cent came and ran with it for his numerous amount of years. This is me looking at it from the outside, looking at New York rap,” the “Gin & Juice” star continued. “So for me, it would be Snoop vs. Jay-Z because he had been the King of New York around the same time I’ve been the King of the West.”
Jay has yet to publicly accept the challenge.
Swizz previously told Britain’s NME magazine of the series, “It’s not really a battle – it’s a celebration of our heroes in music, the ones who make us feel a certain type of way.”
