    AceShowbiz –
Hulu has unveiled a new trailer for long-awaited season 4 of its hit series “The Handmaid’s Tale”. In the new season, Elisabeth Moss’ June Osbourne can be seen continuing fighting for justice in the trying period.

“Ms. Osbourne, if you were to return to Gilead, would you be subject to danger of torture, risk to your life or a risk of cruel and unusual treatment or punishment?” someone asks June in the beginning of the trailer. That is later followed by a series of clearly “cruel and unusual” scenes that flicker on the screen.

Elsewhere in the trailer, Nick (Max Minghella) is featured looking for June. “You’re better off without her. Everyone that helps her ends up on the wall,” a woman tells Nick, referring to the wall in the city where rebels are hanged as punishment.

As for Aunt Lydia, who is played by Ann Dowd, she is apparently not done with June. “She has eluded your soldiers for 19 days,” Lydia, who still has the scars from June’s attack on her in season 3, shares before adding, “Find her and bring her to me.”

Her name continues to be mentioned throughout the trailer. “You can’t save her. You understand that, right? Some women don’t want to be saved,” June’s former commander Joseph Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) says. Meanwhile, June’s best friend Moira (Samira Wiley) calls June “public enemy No. 1 in Gilead,” adding, “She’s not going to last another week here.”

The trailer also sees Joseph telling Nick to move on. “Perhaps she’s fulfilled her purpose and it’s time to move on,” she says.

While Commander Fred Waterford (Joseph Fiennes) vows to “find” and “kill” June, the latter tells Fred’s wife Serena (Yvonne Strahovski), “You have destroyed my life, my family, my friends, my country and my child. I ask for justice.”

Season 4 of “The Handmaid’s Tale” is set to premiere on April 28 on Hulu.

  • McKenna Grace Joins 'Handmaid's Tale' to Play Child Bride in Season 4

    WENN

The ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ actress is set to play a role that might court controversy when the critically-lauded Hulu drama series returns for the next installment.
    Sep 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – McKenna Grace has joined the cast of “The Handmaid’s Tale” fourth season in a role that is set to court controversy, as the child bride of a much older Commander.
Grace, who is best known for her roles in movies like “Captain Marvel”, “I, Tonya”, “Annabelle Comes Home”, “Troop Zero”, and “Gifted”, joins star and executive producer Elisabeth Moss on the Hulu drama series which resumed production in Toronto two weeks ago, Deadline reported.
The 14-year-old actress will play the recurring role of “Mrs. Keyes, a sharply intelligent, teenaged wife of a much older Commander who rules her farm and household with confidence. She has a rebellious, subversive streak, and is calm and pious on the outside with turmoil, even insanity, on the inside,” Deadline reports.
“The Handmaid Tale” was a couple of weeks into filming its fourth season when the coronavirus outbreak shut down production in mid-March. Moss announced the hiatus on Instagram.
“Hey guys we shut down production of season 4 in order to preserve the health and safety of our cast and crew and join the world in an attempt to flatten the curve,” she wrote in her post. “This show is my life and this cast and crew is my family. Nothing is more important than making sure they and everyone around them is safe. We hope to be back in production as soon as it’s safe to do so.”
The “Mad Men” star will be making her directorial debut with the third episode of the season.

Elisabeth Moss Would Give Up Her Salary to Have Meryl Streep on 'Handmaid's Tale'

    WENN/Avalon/Jaime Espinoza

The ‘Invisible Man’ actress is desperate to have her idol guest star on her television series that she would ‘do anything’ including sacrificing her TV fee.
    Mar 2, 2020
AceShowbiz – Actress Elisabeth Moss would sacrifice her TV salary on “The Handmaid’s Tale” to land Meryl Streep as a guest star.
The 37 year old hasn’t been shy about expressing her admiration for her idol Streep as she promotes her new horror film “The Invisible Man”, and she is desperate to work with the three-time Oscar winner on her dystopian drama series, based on author Margaret Atwood’s seminal 1985 novel of the same name.
“I would do anything,” gushed Moss, who also serves as an executive producer on “The Handmaid’s Tale”, which is filmed in Canada.
“I would give up my salary, I would give up other actors’ salaries! They would too, they would be into it!” she laughed on U.S. daytime show “Strahan, Sara and Keke”. “We would pool (our funds), we would go, we would personally carry her to Canada!”
However, Moss fears her obsession with Streep could land her at the receiving end of a protective order after naming the acting veteran as the person she would most like to spy on if she was invisible.
“I’ve never met her. I walked by her on the street once,” she shared. “I’ve never worked with her, obviously. I am obsessed with her… She’s a legend…”
“But I keep talking about her in interviews, and one of the big questions I get is, ‘What would you do if you were invisible?’ And I usually answer that I would watch Meryl Streep act up close, as a performer – not like, in her home or in her trailer, just watch her act. But I’m pretty convinced she’s gonna find out about this and have a restraining order against me!”
