    In the opening of her talk show’s February 16 episode, host Kelly Clarkson kicks off the virtual spectacle by toasting the ‘Jumanji: The Next Level’ star using his Teremana tequila.

    AceShowbiz – Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson was thrown a virtual thank you parade on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” for being the “savior” of the hit program’s first ever episode.
    Kevin Hart was booked to appear on Kelly Clarkson’s talk show debut on September 9, 2019, but when he was left badly injured in a car crash days before the TV chat, he placed an urgent call to his “Jumanji: The Next Level” castmate and begged him to take his place.
    Dwayne not only said yes, he cut his honeymoon short so he could fly to Los Angeles and join Kelly for her first ever episode, and she remains forever in his debt.
    Opening Tuesday’s (February 16) program holding a shot of the former wrestler’s Teremana tequila, the “Since U Been Gone” hitmaker announced, “This is a toast to Dwayne Johnson, shape shifter, demigod, savior of the Kelly Clarkson season one premiere. Hit it guys!”

    A cavalcade of circus-style acts, a trumpet player, a pantomime horse then appeared in the studio, while the digital screens which normally feature the faces of virtual guests all showed images of Dwayne’s smiling face, surrounded by exploding fireworks.

    “First of all, I want to say what a beautiful gesture,” the shocked “Moana” star raved, as the entire remote audience also toasted him with their own bottles of Teremana. “Thank you so much for doing this Kelly. This was an amazing surprise. Thank you.”
    And the movie star couldn’t resist a racy quip, adding, “And now the world finally knows what goes through my wife Lauren’s head after we have a sexy date night.”

      AceShowbiz – Pop star Kelly Clarkson will be limping her way through the holidays after injuring her knee while running in high heels.
      The “Stronger” hitmaker was behind schedule to start taping Friday’s (11Dec20) episode of her U.S. daytime series, “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, when she stumbled awkwardly backstage.
      The singer decided the show must go on and hobbled her way to the stage to open the programme, but had to take a seat in an armchair as she welcomed viewers to her first festive episode.

      Explaining the need for comfy furniture, she said, “Well, this is our first holiday show… and I was real excited about it and we were running late, and I don’t like to be late, so I was running in my heel, which was a bad decision because apparently I turned a corner and possibly did something to my ACL (anterior cruciate ligament).”
      “So, 2020 – just the gift that keeps on giving…!” quipped Kelly, who is also going through a nasty divorce from estranged husband Brandon Blackstock. “I’m just gonna sit in this chair… with my leg elevated.”
      “I’ve now had the (eye) patch, because I had an eye situation, now I have a knee situation…,” she continued, referring to the eye covering she had to wear in September after suffering an infection.
      Kelly went on to admit she’s always been a clumsy person, so much so she was given an award for “Crisis of the Day” when she was a schoolkid.
      “I don’t know why it happens, but stuff happens,” she shared, before admitting she should have known better this time around to avoid “looking like a fool on television.” “Well, I was running in heels and turned a corner, like I’m some kind of athletic person that can do that, and it didn’t go well!”

      AceShowbiz – Kelly Clarkson gave a special shoutout to her estranged husband Brandon Blackstock as she accepted her first ever Daytime Emmy.
      The 38-year-old “Catch My Breath” singer won the award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host for the first season of her “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Friday, June 26, 2020 night’s virtual ceremony.
      Taking to Twitter after winning the award, the hitmaker expressed her disbelief at winning the prize, and thanked her husband – who she filed for divorce from two weeks ago – for “for believing in me & convincing me” to do the show.
      “OH MY GOSH!!!!!! What is happening?!!!! This is amazing!!! Thank y’all so much!!! And a MAJOR thank you to my entire crew that really is the reason I won,” Kelly wrote. “I can’t wait to celebrate with our whole crew when humans can congregate again!! This calls for a PARTY!!!!” Kelly wrote on Twitter after winning the award.
      “I could never have achieved this without my #hometeam so THANK YOU for taking such great care of my babies when I can’t,” she continued.
      The “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” star concluded by adding, “Thank you so much to @BBlackstock for believing in me & convincing me to do @KellyClarksonTV show and @lifeofT for being the greatest friend/assistant.”
      Kelly wed her manager, Brandon, in 2013 after a whirlwind courtship and they share two children – six-year-old daughter River and four-year-old son Remington.
      He also has two teenage kids from his first marriage to Melissa Ashworth.

      AceShowbiz – Kelly Clarkson was reduced to tears on her talk show on Thursday, April 30, 2020 as country singer Thomas Rhett and his wife told her the story of adopting their daughter.
      Kelly asked Thomas and Lauren why they’d decided to adopt a child before having their own biological baby, to which Lauren said her mum was adopted.
      “I just thought it was really cool,” she said. “We’d talked about it off and on, but it wasn’t something that we had sat down and had, like, a full-on adoption conversation.”
      But it was when Lauren went to Uganda on a charity trip in 2016 that she met a baby girl and called Thomas on FaceTime to tell him she’d found the child she wanted to adopt.
      “I was telling him her story and I was like, ‘Babe, we know so many people who are trying to adopt right now, and this little girl needs a forever home,’ ” she said. “I was, like, so moved. I mean, the second I touched her, it was, like, electric. I was like, ‘Oh my word. This little girl has just taken my heart.’ I was like, ‘Honey, we’ve gotta find her her forever home. Like, I know that’s why I’m here is to get this girl to her home.’ ”
      Struggling as she heard the tale, Kelly – a mother of three herself – broke down in tears as she explained, “It’s so beautiful because I know that feeling. As a mama, you touch them and you hug them. It doesn’t matter if it’s yours or not. We’re a blended family. You’re like, this is my purpose. It’s such a powerful thing.”

      In the end, Thomas ended up telling his wife to bring the baby girl, who they called Willa Gray.
      “I don’t fully remember even saying it,” he said. “It was, like, such a spiritual thing for me that it came out of my body. Then, literally two weeks after, we were having home assessments and talking to adoption agencies.”
      Thomas and Lauren are also parents to daughters Ada, three, and Lennon, who was born in February 2020.
