The Neo depicter sports a new haircut when he’s dropped off by his girlfriend Alexandra Grant at his accommodation in Berlin, where the sci-fi movie has been filmed.

    Oct 28, 2020
AceShowbiz – Keanu Reeves has got a new haircut, likely for his role in “The Matrix 4”. The actor ditched his shaggy shoulder-length hairdo for a fresh buzz cut while he continues filming the new installment of the action sci-fi film franchise in Berlin, Germany.
The Neo depicter debuted his new look, which also includes a clean-shaven face, while he was dropped off by his girlfriend Alexandra Grant at his accommodation in Berlin on Sunday, October 25. The pair kissed outside his hotel as they bid goodbye after spending the weekend together at her rented home.
Reeves, who dressed in a black jacket on top of a gray T-shirt and washed-out jeans, made his way around to the driver’s window to see her for the last time before she left. She rolled down the window and blew her boyfriend a kiss farewell.

The two looked smitten to each other as they flashed a smile before the 56-year-old actor turned around and walked away from her car. He carried his belongings in a beige holdall and a red tote bag, while holding what looked like a hat in one hand and touching his head with his other hand.
“The Matrix 4” resumed production in the summer after it was temporarily shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. Back in June, the stars including Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Neil Patrick Harris were spotted arriving at Schonefeld Airport in Berlin, Germany. The Neo depicter was joined by his girlfriend Alexandra at the time and it appears that she has been staying in the country to accompany him since then.
“The Matrix 4” began production in San Francisco in February of this year before filming came to a halt in March due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The film was initially set for release on May 21, 2021, but was pushed back to April 1, 2022 due to this unfortunate circumstance. Earlier this month, Warner Bros. announced that the movie release was moved up to December 22, 2021.
Lana Wachowski returns as director, with Jada Pinkett Smith, Lambert Wilson and Daniel Bernhardt reprising their roles as Niobe, The Merovingian and Agent Johnson respectively. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff and Priyanka Chopra are among new additions to the cast.

  • Laurence Fishburne Not Asked to Return for 'The Matrix 4'

    Warner Bros. Pictures

The actor who played Morpheus in the first three movies reveals he hasn’t got any offer to reprise his role for the highly-anticipated fourth installment.
    Aug 19, 2020
AceShowbiz – Laurence Fishburne has claimed he “wasn’t invited” to reprise his role of Morpheus in “The Matrix 4”.
The 59-year-old actor starred as Morpheus in “The Matrix” in 1999, “The Matrix Reloaded” in 2003, and “The Matrix Revolutions” later that year. However, while Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss – who played Neo and Trinity in the films – have been seen hard at work on the latest movie instalment in Berlin, Germany, Laurence told New York Magazine that he hadn’t been asked to return to the franchise.
“I have not been invited. Maybe that will make me write another play. I wish them well. I hope it’s great,” he said when asked if he’d be back for “The Matrix 4”.
Since Laurence’s comments, fans have been speculating about why he wasn’t involved in the new film, with some wondering if it could be down to the fact that Morpheus was killed in “The Matrix Online” video game.
Also, it had been rumoured that “Aquaman” actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II would be taking on the role of a younger Morpheus in the film – leading to speculation that maybe the character will solely appear in flashbacks or potentially resurrected in a younger form.
“The Matrix 4” is due for release in April, 2022, after the coronavirus pandemic pushed back the release date.

  • 'Matrix 4' Stars Resume Filming in Berlin Despite Spike of Coronavirus Cases in Germany

    WENN

Keanu Reeves has been pictured being joined by his girlfriend Alexandra Grant at Berlin’s Schonefeld Airport, presumably to prepare the filming of the new ‘Matrix’ movie with co-stars Carrie-Anne Moss and Neil Patrick Harris.
    Jun 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – “The Matrix 4” is back in production after it was temporarily shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. On Sunday, June 20, the stars, including Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss and Neil Patrick Harris, were spotted hitting Schonefeld Airport in Berlin, Germany, presumably to resume the filming.
They were all dressed in their daily outfits instead of their character costumes. Lead actor Reeves, who reprises his role as Neo in the upcoming sequel, wore a black T-shirt underneath a jacket and pants in matching color. He paired them with sneakers, while also sporting a baseball cap.
He was joined by his girlfriend Alexandra Grant, who kept herself warm in a black sweater, a vest and black leggings, with a white scarf around her neck. The pair were seen having a friendly conversation with several men, possibly the movie crew members, on the sidewalk.
Moss, who plays Trinity in the franchise, donned a long coat on top of her dress, as she appeared to try to go incognito with a black round hat and a pair of oversized glasses. Harris, meanwhile, dressed casually in a gray T-shirt and darker pants with sneakers in matching color, while carrying a backpack.
“The Matrix 4” began production in San Francisco in February of this year. The filming came to a halt in March due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The film was initially set for release on May 21, 2021, but has been pushed back to April 1, 2022 due to this unfortunate circumstance.
Recently, German authorities have reimposed lockdown restrictions in two districts in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia after a spike in coronavirus cases. The state’s health minister, Karl-Josef Laumann, announced the second lockdown on Tuesday, June 23 just hours after the first was lifted after a new cluster linked to the Tonnies meatpacking plant was reported. At least 1,550 workers of the factory have tested positive for the novel virus.
The spike of the cases in Germany, however, may not affect “The Matrix 4” filming in Berlin as Thomas Kamradt, president of the German Society for Immunology, told CNBC on Wednesday, “Currently it’s very localized and the important thing is to keep it like that and prevent it from further spreading.”

    Jun 16, 2020
AceShowbiz – The release date for the highly anticipated “The Matrix 4” has been pushed back a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The initial premiere date for Keanu Reeves’ return as Neo was initially set for May 21, 2021 but the global health crisis forced filming to shut down, and now the latest instalment in the action franchise will hit theatres on April 1, 2022.

The news comes a month after the fourth “John Wick” movie, also starring Reeves, was delayed a year. The revenge tale was slated to be released on the same day as “The Matrix 4”, but is now set to debut on May 27, 2022.

AceShowbiz – Neil Patrick Harris has found a silver lining in the coronavirus lockdown – he’s at home with his family instead of filming in Germany on his own.
Appearing on pal Rosie O’Donnell’s virtual Broadway.com chat show on Sunday night (March 22), the “Gone Girl” star revealed he’s having a wonderful time with his husband, David Burtka, and their kids in Harlem, New York, admitting he wasn’t looking forward to a long, lonely film shoot.

'Matrix 4' Explosive Filming Causes Building Damage in San Francisco

    Warner Bros. Pictures

The local people in San Francisco are annoyed by the production of the fourth ‘Matrix’ film since it brings damages to the building near the movie set.
    Feb 28, 2020
AceShowbiz – Production on the fourth “The Matrix” movie has irked locals in San Francisco, California after a number of staged explosions caused some building damage.
“The Matrix 4” is currently being shot in the city, but last weekend, the extreme heat from on set fireballs apparently melted building lamps and destroyed the plastic cover of a local business’ street advertising sign.
According to the local NBC News channel, workers hired to replace the plastic on the sign revealed the repairs cost around $2,000.
In addition to setting off explosives for the film, the shoot involved a low-flying helicopter, which was spotted just feet away from the side of office buildings.
Franchise stars Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are reprising their respective roles as Neo and Trinity in the new sequel.
Lana Wachowksi, who took charge of the first three movies with sister Lilly, is returning to the director’s chair for “The Matrix 4”, which is currently set for release next year 2021.

Keanu Reeves Ditches Neo's Old Looks in First 'Matrix 4' Set Photos

    Warner Bros. Pictures

Instead of rocking Neo’s slid-back hair and clean-shaven face, the ‘John Wick’ actor keeps his own current style as he begins shooting the new installment of the sci-fi film franchise.
    Feb 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Keanu Reeves is back as Neo in the first set photos of “The Matrix 4”. The actor and his co-star Carrie-Anne Moss were spotted on the set in San Fransisco on Wednesday, February 5 as filming on the new sequel has begun.
Judging from the photos shared by Bay Area newspaper San Francisco Examiner, it appears that Reeves’ Neo will have a new look in the upcoming movie. Pictured in between scenes taken on the streets of the Chinatown section, the 55-year-old actor was seen rocking his own current style, which includes long hair and bearded face.
This is a departure from Neo’s old looks that saw him sporting slid-back hair and clean-shaven face. He also rocked blue jeans instead of the usual all-black outfit, with Neo’s trademark black sunglasses missing.
Moss, who reprises her role as Trinity, also appeared to have a laid-back style with a dark jacket, though she still sports short hair like her character’s in the previous three movies.

Some Twitter users have shared their opinions about Neo’s supposed new look in the upcoming movie, with one fan writing, “Some of you don’t even lie awake at night worrying if keanu reeves is going to cut his hair for the matrix 4 and it f***ing shows.”
Besides Reeves and Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith has been confirmed to reprise her role as Niobe, while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is cast reportedly as a young Morpheus and Neil Patrick Harris is added to play a mystery role. Laurence Fishburne played Morpheus in the original trilogy, while Hugo Weaving is not returning as the villainous Agent Smith due to scheduling issue.
Lana Wachowski returns as director for “The Matrix 4” and serves as producer along with Grant Hill. Plot details are still kept under wraps, but it’s reported that the plot involves time travel. The movie is set for a May 21, 2021 release in the United States.
