Robbie Williams Working on Five Shows as He Plans to Launch TV Franchise

    Instagram

The Take That alum hopes the coronavirus lockdown ends soon because he can’t wait to get his ideas turned into television shows for his foray into TV business.
    May 25, 2020
AceShowbiz – Robbie Williams is looking to build a TV empire after revealing he’s working on five new show ideas.
The former Take That star, 46, told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper he’s looking to kick off the next big TV franchise, explaining, “There is a new avenue that I am moving into, TV. I am very, very excited about it.”
“I hope we go back to normal soon because I have got so many TV ideas that I wanna do,” he continued, adding, “A myriad, a smorgasbord.”
While the “Feel” hitmaker teased he has “literally so many” ideas for future projects, he was reluctant to share too much information about the new concepts.
Meanwhile, fans can look forward to seeing the star on-screen next week as he teams up with his former Take That bandmates Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, and Howard Donald on Friday, May 29, 2020 for a one-off virtual gig to raise money for charity amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“I am really looking forward to performing with the boys again – it’s always a pleasure,” he said while announcing the Meerkat Music gig. “If we can’t go to the stadium… we’ll bring the stadium to us.”
Take That formed as a five-piece in 1990, and enjoyed success until they disbanded in 1996. They later reunited in 2005 as a four-piece, without Robbie, and now perform with Gary, Mark, and Howard, following former member Jason Orange’s departure in 2014.
Tune into the concert on Compare the Meerkat’s Facebook and YouTube pages at 8 P.M. BST on May 29.

Sara Bareilles' New Series Gets Picked Up by Apple

    WENN

The new show executive produced by the ‘Waitress’ star along with J.J. Abrams and her Broadway collaborator is expected to debut on streaming platform this coming summer.
    May 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – Singer/songwriter-turned-Broadway star Sara Bareilles’ new TV series has been picked up by bosses at Apple TV+.
“Little Voice”, the show Sara helped create with J.J. Abrams, will premiere on the streaming service in July 2020.
The series stars Brittany O’Grady as a talented performer struggling to follow her dreams in New York City.
Sara wrote the original music for the series, which features a pilot episode written and directed by Jessie Nelson, her collaborator on the Broadway musical “Waitress”.
Bareilles and Nelson executive produced the series with Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions partner Ben Stephenson.
The news comes at a good time for Sara, who recently revealed she had tested positive for COVID-19 but had battled the virus and won.
The Grammy winner posted a video on her Instagram Stories on April 2, 2020 while out and about in New York City and updated fans on her condition.
“Just wanted to check in,” she stated. “I’m really quiet right now and will probably continue to be quiet. Just sort of taking all of this in and having a lot of feelings as I do. I had it (COVID-19), just so you know. I’m fully recovered, just so you know. I am just thinking about all of the people who are walking through this really tricky time and sending a lot of love and just being really grateful for every easy breath and every day that I get to be walking around. Lots of love you guys. Take care of yourselves.”
Sara didn’t add any details but she most likely contracted the virus while starring in the West End production of her musical “Waitress” – her co-star Gavin Creel also believes he contracted the virus but opted to self-isolate and not get tested. Several other cast members from the show did test positive, according to reports.

John Krasinski Leaves 'Some Good News' as Host After His Web Series Heads to TV

    WENN

The ‘Something Borrowed’ actor will no longer serve as ‘Some Good News’ host when the lockdown web series debuts on television via ViacomCBS this coming summer.
    May 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – John Krasinski’s lockdown web series “Some Good News” is moving to ViacomCBS after the network emerged victorious in a bidding war – but he won’t be hosting anymore.
The “A Quiet Place” star has enjoyed huge success with his online programme, which he created to provide a spot of light relief during the coronavirus pandemic.
But just days after announcing Some Good News was “taking a break,” it has been announced that the show has been licensed by ViacomCBS. And while John will no longer be the host, he will still have an on-air presence.
“Could not be more excited and proud to be partnering with CBS/Viacom to be able to bring Some Good News to so many more people!” the actor said in a statement. “From the first episode, our goal was to create a news show dedicated entirely to good news. Never did I expect to be joining the ranks of such a historic news organisation as CBS.”
The first new episodes of “Some Good News” will be shown on the rebranded CBS All Access this summer before other ViacomCBS networks get the second run of instalments.

    May 24, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Good Omens” stars Michael Sheen and David Tennant are to team up again for a BBC comedy filmed entirely in lockdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The new six-episode series “Staged” features the cast of a play who are furloughed when their upcoming West End production is suddenly brought to a halt by the coronavirus.
“Staged”, which also stars David’s wife Georgia Tennant, Lucy Eaton, and Anna Lundberg, as well as guest stars including “Killing Eve” actress Nina Sosanya, follows the cast as they try their best to keep the rehearsals on track in lockdown.
In a press release announcing the new show, Charlotte Moore, the Director of BBC Content says, “It’s vital that the BBC provides moments of light relief and this mischievous idea shows what great sports Michael and David are in sending themselves up.”

Tamra Judge Reveals Her Fiery Reaction to Being Offered a Limited Role on 'RHOC'

    Bravo

Following her exit from the Bravo reality TV show, the 52-year-old TV personality is now focused on her Vena CBD products, which include everything from soaking salts to cooling creams.
    May 23, 2020
AceShowbiz – Tamra Judge shared how she decided to exit “The Real Housewives of Orange County”. In an interview with Us Weekly, Tamra revealed that she knew “for the past couple years” that she needed a break from the Bravo reality show.
“I had said that I was going to just retire. I was just going to be at the reunion [and] just say, ‘You know what?’ ” the 52-year-old said. “And people told me there. They’re like, ‘Listen. Don’t do that. You don’t know what the future holds. Just don’t make any rash decisions. You’re super emotional.’ So I didn’t say anything.”
With that, Tamra was convinced to stay on the reality TV show despite personal struggle as her ex-husband Simon Barney was diagnosed with cancer. “I’m like, ‘Oh, gosh. OK. This is happening. This is going to be really hard for me to go on and film. It’s going to be difficult.’ So I’m going in my head, going, ‘Oh, s**t,’ ” she explained.
However, she later received a call from the show’s producer. “I had gotten a call and I was camping and the producer said, ‘Hey, we want to talk to you.’ And I’m like, ‘What’s up?’ And they’re like, ‘Well, the network has decided to go in a different direction,’ ” she recalled.
“And I’m like, ‘What?! OK, well I thought we start filming in a couple days.’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah.’ And they even said, ‘We’re shocked. We’re completely shocked at this,’ ” she went on saying.
According to Tamra, the producer told her, “They know that you said you’d never become a friend, so they want to give you a limited role.” Upon hearing the plan, the TV star said, “No, thank you.” She added, “That’s not what I said. I said, ‘F**k off!’ And then I just took a week or so and I just absorbed it. … I cried and I was scared.”
Following her exit, Tamra is now focused on her Vena CBD products, from soaking salts to cooling creams. “It’s been keeping me busy, that’s for sure. And it’s something we’re super passionate about and we just feel really fortunate that it’s taken off,” she shared. “It’s an amazing product and, really, that’s all that people want is just a really good product that will work!”
