'Big Little Lies' Available for Free Online During Covid-19 Lockdown

    HBO

The acclaimed drama series starring Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon is made available for free on the HBO streaming service during the coronavirus lockdown.
    Apr 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon’s hit TV drama “Big Little Lies” has been made available to stream online for free during the coronavirus pandemic.
All episodes from the two-season Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series, based on Liane Moriarty’s book of the same name, hit the HBO Go and HBO Now apps on Friday, April 10, 2020.
Sharing the news with Instagram fans, executive producer and star Kidman wrote, “More screams, dreams and ice cream… from our big little family to yours.”
“All episodes of #BigLittleLies are now available to stream for free on HBO GO and HBO NOW xx”.
“Big Little Lies”, which also stars Shailene Woodley, Zoe Kravitz, and Laura Dern, is just part of the 500 hours of premium content HBO bosses are offering at no cost until April 30.
Meanwhile, Apple bosses are also giving fans new shows to explore in isolation by offering up free streaming of M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller “Servant” and Hailee Steinfeld’s “Dickinson” series.
The tech brand’s Apple TV+ service typically requires a paid subscription to access its original content, but on Friday, officials lifted the paywall to allow new viewers the opportunity to check out a selection of movies and series at no cost while stuck at home during the coronavirus pandemic.
Among the picks available for free for a limited time via the Apple TV app are director Shyamalan’s “Servant”, about a mysterious force which threatens to tear a couple apart after suffering a devastating tragedy, and wildlife documentary “The Elephant Queen”, narrated by Chiwetel Ejiofor.
Anthology series “Little America”, executive produced by filmmaking couple Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, features true stories of immigrants in the U.S., while Joel Kinnaman’s space drama, “For All Mankind”, imagines a world in which astronauts from the Soviet Union beat the U.S. to the moon.
Also free to view is Steinfeld’s hit historical comedy “Dickinson”, in which she portrays rebellious young poet Emily Dickinson, as well as children’s series like “Snoopy in Space” and “Helpsters”, a live-action show for pre-schoolers, created by the people behind “Sesame Street”.

Kris Jenner Dismisses 'KUWTK' Crew to Have Sex With Corey Gamble at Kylie's Office

    WENN/Instar

In the latest episode of the reality TV show, the Kardashian matriarch asks her boyfriend not to leave after sharing several tender kisses at her daughter’s office.
    Apr 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble have been dating for a while now, but it’s clear as day that the sparks between the lovebirds are still strong. In the latest episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, the momager kicked out filming crew so that she could have sex with her beau in Kylie Jenner’s office.
During the episode, Corey paid Kris a visit and the latter was more than elated to have him there. Following a series of tender kisses, the matriarch apparently felt that it was not enough and demanded that the tour manager stay despite only having limited time. “Are you serious?” Corey asked, to which Kris replied, “Yeah! Do you have five minutes?”
Right after Corey agreed to her suggestion, Kris told the filming crew to get out of the room so that they could have some sexy time alone. “Alright you guys, all of you, get out of here. Here’s my mic, I’m taking a ten minute break. Bye, sorry, goodbye,” she told them, before closing the door almost immediately.
One crew member then could be heard saying off-camera, “Are they doing what I think they’re doing?” In response, another member said, “I don’t know!”

Kris and Corey have been dating since 2014 and continued to go strong each day. Despite their strong affection to each other, Kris previously said that she had no intention to walk down the aisle with him. “You know, I’ve done that twice and it didn’t work out so well,” she said, referring to her marriage to the late Robert Kardashian and Caitlyn Jenner. “So I don’t know — you never know. I’m going to take a page out of Goldie and Kurt’s book. Or Kourtney’s book. I think as long as things are going so well, why ruffle it up?”

'Friends' Reunion Special Won't Get Planned May Release

    Warner Bros. Television

Though Matt LeBlanc recently shared that the original cast members had regrouped to film the reunion special before the coronavirus quarantine, it’s now reported that they will continue the production once the lockdown is over.
    Apr 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – The eagerly-anticipated “Friends” reunion special will not be debuting in May as previously planned.
Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer had all been due to make their sitcom comeback on the HBO Max show, which had been scheduled to launch at the same time as the new streaming service, where subscribers could find all of the classic comedy’s original episodes.
However, Hollywood’s shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic has derailed production plans, officials have confirmed to Deadline.com.
A new premiere date has yet to be revealed, but once the lockdown comes to an end, network bosses plan to bring the castmembers together and return to Warner Bros. Studio’s Stage 24 in Burbank, California, where the original run was shot, to continue production on the show.
The news emerges days after LeBlanc suggested the gang had managed to regroup and film the one-off special before the COVID-19 outbreak really took hold and forced everyone into self-isolation.
“We got the band back together without the instruments,” he shared on a pre-recorded episode of “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, which aired on Monday, April 06. “(It was) the six of us together, talking about the good old days.”

“Friends” aired for 10 seasons, concluding its decade-long run in 2004.

Kristin Chenoweth Turns Into Carole Baskin in A 'Tiger King' Musical Number

    Instagram

‘Big Fish’ composer Andrew Lippa has brought together around 42 different artists to write and create original tunes for the parody of Netflix’s docu-series, ‘Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness’.
    Apr 11, 2020
AceShowbiz – Singer/actress Kristin Chenoweth has taken on the role of “Tiger King”‘s Carole Baskin for a humorous new song.
“Big Fish” composer Andrew Lippa came up with the idea to turn Netflix’s hit docu-series, “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness”, into a musical and began tweeting about the proposed project in late March.
“I’m making the musical of ‘Tiger King’,” he posted, after binge-watching the popular show. “Don’t try to stop me. Don’t tell me you have the rights. You don’t. I will crush it.”

Andrew Lippa announced he’s developing a musical of ‘Tiger King’.
Lippa had been joking at the time, but the viral tweet caught the attention of Kurt Deutsch of Ghostlight Records, who is now helping him bring the idea to fruition.
However, instead of a traditional show, the musician tells the New York Post he’s brought together around 42 different artists to write and create original tunes all inspired by true crime tale “Tiger King”, which focuses on incarcerated Oklahoma zoo boss Joe Exotic and his bitter rival Baskin, who runs a big cat rescue facility in the state.
The first song is “Little Pieces”, featuring Chenoweth as animal rights activist Baskin, who sings about chopping up her husband, multi-millionaire Jack ‘Don’ Lewis, and feeding him to her big cats – referencing one theory regarding his disappearance in August, 1997. He was declared legally dead in 2002, although no one has ever been charged with his murder.
Lippa reveals Chenoweth jumped at the parody opportunity and she’s since recorded the song in isolation during the ongoing coronavirus lockdown, and has even filmed an accompanying music video on her iPhone.
Alerting fans to the track’s release (https://soundcloud.com/tigerkingmusicalparody) on Friday, April 10, she tweeted, “Tiger cubs, the song is here! Find it on SoundCloud. Video coming next week! #LittlePieces @lippaofficial”.

Follow-up tunes are due to be released randomly over the coming weeks, with Lippa hoping to drop two promos next week (begins April 13).
And he may even have the chance to turn it into a TV feature.
He shared with the Post: “I’ve already had a producer friend from Hollywood call me and say, ‘Hey, I think Netflix would want to partner with you on this!’ ”

Netflix officials have yet to comment.
Chenoweth isn’t the only star obsessed with “Tiger King” and Baskin – “Saturday Night Live” comedienne Kate McKinnon is already attached to play the activist in an upcoming TV series based on the podcast which originally chronicled Exotic’s role in a murder-for-hire plot.
Meanwhile, Kevin Bacon and Wendi McLendon-Covey are odds makers’ favourites to play Exotic and Baskin in the inevitable film adaptation of the smash hit streaming show.

    Instagram

To be aired on Netflix on April 12, ‘Tiger King and I’ will feature brand new interviews with John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe.
    Apr 10, 2020
AceShowbiz – Joel McHale has signed on to host a new “Tiger King” after-show special for Netflix.
Following the success of the “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” docu-series about Joe Exotic and his Oklahoma zoo, which debuted on Netflix on March 20, bosses at the streaming platform have been scrambling to jump on the phenomenon and provide more programming, while the titular character serves time behind bars for his role in a murder-for-hire plot.
And now it appears they’ve found a new outlet for fans – and they’ve invited comedian and actor McHale to host.

” ‘The Tiger King and I’ – a Tiger King after show hosted by Joel McHale and featuring brand new interviews with (Tiger King stars) John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe – will premiere April 12,” a statement reads.

Joy Behar Denies Rumors of Her Retiring From 'The View' in 2022

    ABC/Jenny Anderson

The comedian, who has been co-hosting the daytime talk show for 21 seasons, was speculated to be getting ready to leave the show after her interview for Ramin Setoodeh’s non-fiction book was brought up.
    Apr 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – Joy Behar won’t be leaving “The View” anytime soon. Suggested to be planning a 2022 retirement after her interview for Ramin Setoodeh’s upcoming book, “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of ‘The View’ “, made headlines, the longtime co-host of the ABC daytime talk show was quick to set the record straight.
Through her spokesperson, the 77-year-old denied the swirling speculations. “This is not true,” her representative said in a released statement. “Joy was asked what happens at the end of her contract and as she herself made clear in the interview, if she’s ‘fabulous in [2022] as I am now,’ she will be in her seat at the table.”
Behar’s retirement rumor was set off by an April 8 story published by Variety. In it, the publication shared an excerpt from Setoodeh’s non-fiction book in which the “Hall Pass” actress revealed, “I have a three-year contract. But that doesn’t mean I can’t leave if I want to, because they can’t really do anything to me at this point.”
“I don’t see myself staying for more [time]. That’s it! I could be wrong. If I’m as fabulous in [2022] as I am now, I’ll think about. But the chances of that happening…,” the media personality continued on explaining. “You know, time marches on. I’m not a kid.”
The current main focus of “The View” producers, however, was not on whether Behar really planned on retiring or not, but rather on how to adjust to the coronavirus crisis. “That is such a long time away and everyone really likes Joy so they hope she [either] reconsiders or they can talk her out of leaving if that really is her goal,” a so-called inside source told HollywoodLife.
The insider further noted that the producers have yet to talk about finding Behar replacement. “Those talks haven’t even started or have even been thought of because again they all love Joy and wouldn’t want to have that out there that they are looking for her replacement,” the source explained. “Everything usually works itself out when it comes to ‘The View’ and when they have to deal with it all they will but as of right now everyone is happy and content to keep Joy around.”

Chance the Rapper and Kelly Rowland to Lead BET Covid-19 Relief Fundraiser

    WENN/Instar

The TV special is dubbed ‘Saving Our Selves: A BET Covid-19 Relief Effort’ to raise funds to aid the black community amid the global coronavirus pandemic.
    Apr 9, 2020
AceShowbiz – Chance the Rapper, DJ Khaled, and Kelly Rowland are set to take part in a U.S. TV special aimed at raising coronavirus relief funds to aid the black community.
As reports suggest people of colour are among those hardest hit by the outbreak, bosses at the BET network have unveiled plans for “Saving Our Selves: A BET Covid-19 Relief Effort”, which Rowland will co-host remotely with actors Regina Hall and Terrence J.
Other guests booked to make virtual appearances include singers Charlie Wilson, Kirk Franklin, and Fantasia Barrino.
Scott Mills, President of BET, writes in a statement, “The COVID-19 pandemic is savagely compounding the profound health and financial vulnerabilities many Black Americans face. Every day, there are new reports of how this pandemic is killing African-Americans at much higher rates than other communities.”
“BET is using all of our resources – our capital, our media platforms, our relationships with the creative community, sponsors, businesses and charitable organizations to support our community in this time of crisis.”
The charity special, organised in partnership with officials at community non-profit United Way Worldwide, will air at 8 P.M. EST on April 22, 2020 and raise funds for organisations providing help and support for African-American communities severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
It won’t be the first star-studded coronavirus relief fundraiser to hit TV screens – Elton John hosted the iHeart Living Room Concert For America on March 29, 2020, raising more than $8 million for the charities Feeding America and the First Responders Children’s Foundation.
The virtual pop festival featured at-home performances from Elton, Mariah Carey, the Backstreet Boys, and Tim McGraw among others.
Meanwhile, Lady GaGa is curating One World: Together at Home, a big concert special arranged in partnership with officials from Global Citizen and the World Health Organisation.
It is set to be broadcast worldwide on April 18, 2020, when Paul McCartney, Elton John, Chris Martin, Lizzo, Billie Eilish, John Legend, Kacey Musgraves, and Keith Urban will be among the artists making guest appearances.
