'Braxton Family Values' Was Never Canceled, Toni Braxton's Sister Insists

    WENN

Addressing speculations that her family’s reality show had been canned due to a fall in ratings, Traci Braxton stresses that they ‘are currently on hiatus’ due to coronavirus shutdown.
    Apr 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Toni Braxton’s sister Traci Braxton has hit back at rumours the family’s reality show “Braxton Family Values” has been axed.
It was reported in February that the programme had been canned due to a fall in ratings. However, in an interview with Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Traci insisted the series will be returning for a seventh season.
“I haven’t received a letter from WeTV. The show is coming back, we were never cancelled,” she said. “We are currently on hiatus from filming because of the shutdown due to coronavirus.”
Traci also said she doesn’t pay any attention to gossip about herself or her nearest and dearest, adding: “I don’t follow blogs. People like to make up stories and get things stirred up. I pay it no attention.”

Her remarks came amid news that her sister Toni has delighted fans with the news that she’s dropping her new single “Do It” on Tuesday (April 07). The track is Toni’s first for nearly two years, and a short clip released on her Twitter page suggests it’s about one friend urging another not to take her cheating man back.

Ellen DeGeneres Returns to TV Show From Living Room to Support Staff Amid Coronavirus Crisis

    Instagram

In the first show aired since COVID-19 shut down ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ production, the ‘Finding Dory’ star also salutes emergency workers putting their health at risk during the pandemic.
    Apr 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – Ellen DeGeneres returned to TV on Monday, April 06 in a bid to keep her staff employed during the coronavirus lockdown.
The “Finding Dory” star hosted the long-running “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” from her living room, joking that all the other areas of her home were “filled with toilet paper”.
She started the show with a few words of comfort and a special message to her TV team.
“I wanted to start doing my new show as soon as possible, because it’s really for people who are stuck at home, especially my staff and crew,” the 62-year-old star said. “I love them, I miss them, and the best thing I can do to support them is keep the show on the air.”
“I’ve always wanted to have this show as a distraction, as a break from whatever’s going on out there that may be unpleasant. So, if you’re feeling down, I want to lift you up. If you’re feeling trapped, I want to set you free. If you feel like you’re going in the wrong direction, I want you to back that thing up. I want to spread light where there’s shade. I want to bring a glow where it’s gloomy. I want to stick a candle where the sun doesn’t shine.”
She also took time to salute emergency workers, who are putting their health at risk during the pandemic by serving the public.

“Usually I walk out and people applaud me, but today I’m applauding you – nurses, doctors, hospital staff, first responders, supermarket employees, truck drivers, everyone who keeps us going,” she said. “Thank you so much.”

Helen McCrory: Cillian Murphy and I Were Behind 'Peaky Blinders' Production Pause

    WENN/Avalon/Instar

The actress playing Polly Gray on the BBC drama series explains that she and her co-star found it ‘uncomfortable’ to continue filming while the coronavirus pandemic began to escalate.
    Apr 7, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Peaky Blinders” stars Helen McCrory and Cillian Murphy called for production on the show to be halted last month as they were “uncomfortable” filming as the coronavirus pandemic began to escalate.
TV and film productions across the world have now gone on hiatus due to the spread of the COVID-19 disease, with many governments bringing in lockdowns that stop people leaving their homes for non-essential reasons.
Shooting on “Peaky Blinders” was officially halted on March 16 – four days before U.K. officials announced pubs, restaurants and bars would have to close, and Helen has now revealed that she, Cillian and its producers asked the BBC to halt production before they were told to.
McCrory says she was doing hair and make-up tests when she felt “something very big is coming” and no longer wanted to continue her work on the hit show.
“The next morning I woke and told my producer, ‘I’m not comfortable doing this anymore.’ Cillian Murphy did the same,” she tells Deadline.com. “Together with the producers, we approached the BBC and said we’re going to pull this now before we have to do this down the line.”
The actress, who plays “Peaky Blinders”‘ Polly Gray, the matriarch of the Shelby gangster family, led by Cillian’s character Tommy Shelby, says TV work is now “terribly unimportant.” Instead, she and her husband Damian Lewis have been fundraising to get meals delivered to health workers fighting COVID-19 in Britain.
“We haven’t slept and we’re on the phone all the time,” she says of their project. “You’re improvising and making it up as you go along because it’s never been done before. Now we’ve got a website up, feednhs.com, and on that website, hospitals can tap on and leave details.”
Helen and Damian have now helped raise almost $1 million (£810,000) for the cause through a Just Giving page, and fundraising efforts like comedian Matt Lucas’ charity single “Thank You Baked Potato”.

NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak on Current 'RHOA' Stars: 'They Strategically Plan' Drama

    Instagram

in a new episode of Instagram Live show called ‘Cocktails After Dark’, NeNe and the former ‘RHOA’ star also talk about whom they want to bring back on the Bravo reality TV show.
    Apr 6, 2020
AceShowbiz – NeNe Leakes and Kim Zolciak reunited in a new episode of Instagram Live show called “Cocktails After Dark”, which was first launched on Friday, April 3. At one point, the topic of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” was unsurprisingly brought up in the conversation during the episode.
“If you could change someone on the current cast, and bring someone from the past … who would you bring back?” NeNe asked Kim, who starred on the Bravo show from 2008 to 2012. “I would definitely bring…I feel like me, you, Sheree [Whitfield] … I feel like the OG’s are the best. I mean, getting rid of somebody?”
In response, Kim alluded that the current “RHOA” stars were faking their storylines. “I think it’s all just gotten to the point that they live in fantasy land. It’s not all real. They aren’t showing their real side, their real life.” NeNe agreed, adding, “I feel like when we started, we were quite different. We were raw. We were just saying anything, and doing anything — we were having a good time, and we told our real stories. I’’m not saying that they don’t, but I’m saying they think about it.”
“I think they think about it, and I think they strategically plan it out,” Kim echoed the sentiment. “For us, we were just kind of being who we were. We had no idea where this was going to go. I don’t know if you guys know this, but I wasn’t ever supposed to be on it because it was supposed to be an all African American cast.”
During the Instagram Live, Kim revealed that “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” was originally titled “Ladies of Atlanta”. “So we did this pilot, we had so much fun … and I was like ‘are we doing a porno? WTF do you mean ‘Ladies of Atlanta?’ ‘ I had no idea it was Housewives. That was 13 years ago,” Kim, who is currently starring on her spin-off series “Don’t Be Tardy…”, recalled.

    Bravo TV

Kandi Burruss, cast member of the Bravo show, makes public the online plan during an Instagram Live stream, claiming the text messages discussion between the girls was a mess.
    Apr 6, 2020
AceShowbiz – The stars of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” will reunite digitally to mark the end of the show’s 12th season amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Production for the show was halted because of the health crisis, but during an Instagram Live stream, Kandi Burruss revealed she and her co-stars will be filming this season’s reunion online.
“They let us know the other day that we are going to… have to do, I guess, an online type of reunion situation,” she explained.
Kandi also teased the drama between the stars is continuing offscreen, adding: “Some of the girls was going back and forth, you would’ve thought it had been a reunion on the text messages (sic).”
“I said, ‘Damn! Can y’all save all this for the actual reunion? We don’t get paid for your text messages to be all out of pocket, you know what I mean?’.”
“It’s a mess,” Kandi added. “I don’t know if y’all have been catching the shade here and there on some of the blogs, but the shade got real real on the text yesterday.”

The season finale of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is set to air on April 10. Bravo bosses have yet to confirm plans for the reunion special.
