    CBS

The Angus MacGyver depicter dedicates his new Instagram post to the castmates and crew members of his television show as he bids farewell after the series is canned.

    Apr 9, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Actor Lucas Till has bid a fond farewell to his title role as MacGyver after TV bosses announced the current season five would be its last.

The star will appear as Angus MacGyver for the final time as the series finale airs on America’s CBS on 30 April (21), and Till has now reflected on the impact of the action reboot on his career in a farewell post on Instagram.

“Where to begin?” he started. “The past five years have been what I will look on later as THE most formative years of my life.”

“Lots of tough, lots of love. I made life long friends, actually no, family. I learned to push myself to new limits, breaking through and through and through.”

“Was nervous to take up the mantle of an icon and you guys allowed me into your homes and accepted me. I’m like the Roger Moore of MacGyvers now thanks to your support. Lol (laugh out loud) (sic).”

Till went on to offer a “love letter” to his colleagues on the show, insisting they have become his “new family” as he expressed his eternal gratitude to the entire cast and crew.

“MacGyver” was a reboot of the original 1985 series, which starred Richard Dean Anderson.

Co-star Robert Patrick was quick to respond to Lucas Till’s message, “So grateful I had an opportunity to work with you on this show! You are an excellent number 1 and set the tone!”

Wilmer Valderrama penned a similar comment, “I am incredibly proud to know you through all of this my brother. You are a true leader, can’t wait to be front row for your next chapter!”

Jodie Turner-Smith Leaves 'The Witcher' Prequel, Tyler Perry Develops Madea Origin TV Series

    WENN

The ‘Queen and Slim’ actress drops out of ‘The Witcher: Blood Origin’ while the Madea creator is revisiting his famous onscreen character for a new television show.

    Apr 9, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
A scheduling conflict has forced Jodie Turner-Smith to exit Netflix’s “The Witcher” prequel.

The actress was set to lead the cast of the six-part limited series, “The Witcher: Blood Origin”.

Confirming the news to Deadline on Wednesday night (07Apr21), a Netflix spokesperson said, “Due to a change in the production schedule for The Witcher: Blood Origin limited series, unfortunately Jodie Turner-Smith will no longer be able to continue on in the role of Eile.”

Her role of an elite warrior will be recast.

New mum Turner-Smith has a busy 2021 – she’ll star in “After Yang”, opposite Colin Farrell, and Michael B. Jordan’s “Without Remorse”, while she will also star as Anne Boleyn in a three-part U.K. mini-series.

Meanwhile, Tyler Perry is going back in time to revisit his beloved Madea character as a 20-something for a new TV series.

The writer/director has teamed with bosses at Showtime to develop drama series “Mabel”, which focuses on the tough-talking matriarch’s origins in the early 1970s.

Perry and Tim Palen will executive produce the series alongside twin sister writers JaNeika and JaSheika James.

Tyler launched his career by playing 60-something Mabel ‘Madea’ Earlene Simmons onstage in the play “I Can Do Bad All by Myself”. The role became a film franchise, which began with Perry’s first movie, 2005’s “Diary of a Mad Black Woman”, and ended with “A Madea Family Funeral” in 2019, after which the star insisted he’d never play the character again.

Andrew Scott Eyed to Play Tony Blair for 'The Crown' Season 5

    WENN

The ‘Fleabag’ actor reportedly has had talks with Netflix bosses about playing former British Prime Minister in the next installment of the hit royal drama series.

    Apr 9, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Andrew Scott has reportedly been asked to play Tony Blair in “The Crown”.

The “Fleabag” actor – who, at 44, is just a year older than the politician was when he was elected Prime Minister in 1997 – has reportedly had talks with Netflix bosses about starring in the fifth season of the show, which is expected to cover the death of Princess Diana in a car accident and the aftermath of the tragedy.

“This role is one of the most anticipated castings on ‘The Crown’,” a source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper. “The final series covers the Prime Minister’s epic clash with the Queen over her response to the death of Diana in 1997.”

“So the creators wanted an adaptable actor like Andrew who has proved he can master the charm and intimidating presence that typified Blair.”

However, Andrew’s agent said he is “unavailable” for the current filming dates, but Dominic West had faced a similar hurdle until he reshuffled his schedule in order to take over as Prince Charles from Josh O’Connor.

According to Variety, production on the next series of the regal drama will begin in July (21).

The fifth season will see another cast refresh as the key figures enter new stages of their lives, with Imelda Staunton taking over as Queen Elizabeth from Olivia Colman and Tobias Menzies handing over Prince Philip to another former “Game of Thrones” star, Jonathan Pryce.

Lesley Manville will replace Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret and “Tenet” actress Elizabeth Debicki will play Princess Diana in the latter part of her life, taking over the role from Emma Corrin.

    Instagram

The 34-year-old star cannot help but hide her face into her shirt when watching the father of Kylie and Kendall Jenner sing her hit song on the competition show.

    Apr 8, 2021

    AceShowbiz –
Kesha, who was previously known as Ke$ha, has reacted to Caitlyn Jenner’s cringey cover of her song on “The Masked Singer”. When watching the father of Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner perform “Tik Tok” on the competition show, the Grammy nominee made it clear that she is not impressed with it.

Making use of TikTok on Tuesday, April 6, the 34-year-old star put out a video of herself hiding her face into her shirt while watching Caitlyn’s performance. Alongside the clip, she wrote, “Live for a cover and live for this outfit… but i mean i have to go.” She then added in the caption, “Feeling like [P. Diddy]… I think?”

Kesha’s reaction came around three weeks after Caitlyn performed her hit song as the Phoenix. The ex-husband of Kris Jenner previously revealed to Us Weekly that she “worked for two months on these three songs” before getting eliminated in the March 17 episode of the show.

“I did ‘Tik Tok’ and I was going to do The Temptations song, ‘I Know You Wanna Leave Me’, and I had a John Denver song. It was tough to get those down,” she admitted at that time. “If I were to go [and do] all the [songs] at the finals, I would have had to learn eight songs. It took me so long to get a couple songs down.”

Caitlyn also divulged that she asked her son Brandon Jenner to train her for “The Masked Singer” preparation. She explained, “He has a studio in his house, so I went downtown to his studio where I could record it and I worked on the songs with him. It was really great… Brandon got really into it and it was a big bonding moment for us. It was fun working on the songs with him.”
