      Christa B. Allen Will 'Absolutely' Be Invited to Upcoming 'Revenge' Reunion

      The organizer of the upcoming virtual event insists the Charlotte Grayson depicter is not snubbed after the actress said she was not invited to the online reunion.

      AceShowbiz – Christa B. Allen will “absolutely” be invited to be part of the “Revenge” reunion, the coordinator of the event has promised.
      The actress, who portrayed Charlotte Grayson on the U.S. TV show from 2011 to 2015, had taken to Instagram on Monday (25Jan21) to reveal she was feeling snubbed after not being asked to be part of the virtual event, which involved her former co-stars Emily VanCamp, Josh Bowman, Nick Wechsler, and Barry Sloane.
      However, after expressing her disappointment and telling fans she’d host a free reunion on her own on TikTok on the same day – 6 February (21) – Winklepicker Entertainment founder Mark Wright, who is in charge of the reunion, said that they’d opted against hosting the event on the original platform of Tixr, because of the limitations in terms of how many people could be involved.

      Instead, they’ve moved to a different platform, and Wright is in the process of reaching out to other castmembers to invite them to participate in the reunion.
      “In the beginning, we could only accommodate four of the cast members because of tech limitations,” he told E! News. “Within the last few weeks, we ended up joining with a new platform, so we’re going to be able to expand the event. Now, we’re looking to include the other cast members, if they’re available. I’m inviting them all this week.”
      “I just want to make it right with her, let her know that she was on my list to reach out to invite. She just beat me to the punch because the marketing team started posting stuff to get the ball rolling, and we planned to continue to add people as we go.”
      Admitting he has yet to officially contact Christa, Wright added that she will “absolutely” be invited.

      In an interview with Glamour magazine, the actress, who plays lead character Daphne in the hugely popular Netflix period drama, opened up on the difficulties of filming a masturbation scene for the raunchy show, explaining “it was the hardest scene” to shoot, as she felt “very vulnerable” after filming other racy scenes with her co-star Rege-Jean Page.
      “You always feel safe. I’d rehearse with Rege so much that we both knew what we were doing. It felt very practical. But on my own, it’s a different thing,” she explained to Glamour. “The stage directions are very specific: You have to have an orgasm. It’s a difficult thing to rehearse, which means you don’t. You just do it.”

      However, Phoebe was thankful the production had hired an intimacy coordinator as it meant that she didn’t have to have awkward conversations about the sexual scenes with the show’s male director.
      The show explores the complicated relationship between Phoebe’s character and the eligible Duke of Hastings in intimate sexual detail.
      “I felt so safe in the knowledge that Lizzy was there, so that if something went wrong or the director wanted something different he could speak to her first,” she said. “I think it would have been a very difficult experience if Lizzy hadn’t been on set protecting me and looking after me. No one wants to be told how to orgasm by a man.”

      The new reimagining, which will be written by ‘Vikings’ creator Michael Hirst, is set to explore New York’s Black community in the 1920s and the musical subculture.

      AceShowbiz – “The Great Gatsby” is seemingly heading to the small screen. According to a new report, A+E Studios and ITV Studios America are joining forces with writer Michael Hirst to develop a big-budget TV adaptation based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s iconic novel.
      The Hollywood Reporter claims the project is set to be a closed-ended miniseries with Hirst, whose credits include “Elizabeth”, “The Tudors” and “Vikings”, penning the script. He will also serve as executive producer alongside Groundswell Productions’ Michael London.
      Fitgerald’s estate will also involve in the planned series. Blake Hazard, a great-granddaughter of Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald and a trustee of the estate, is onboard as a consulting producer. Meanwhile, Columbia University’s William B. Ransford professor of English and comparative literature and African-American studies Farah Jasmine Griffin joins as a consultant on the series, working directly with Hazard and Hirst on the drama.
      The new reimagining is set to explore New York’s Black community in the 1920s and the musical subculture. It “will dig deeper into the hidden lives of its characters through the modern lens of a fractured American dream while also capturing the full majesty of Fitzgerald’s timeless vision.” No network has been attached to the project as of now.

      The site further details that A+E Studios has had the rights to the iconic novel for decades since it aired a “The Great Gatsby” TV movie based on the novel back in 2000. The telepic starred Paul Rudd as Nick Carraway, Toby Stephens as Jay Gatsby and Mira Sorvino as Daisy. It is said that the Hirst-led adaptation has been in the works for at least three years, following his overall deal with Barry Jossen’s A+E Studios.
      “I seem to have lived with ‘Gatsby’ most of my life, reading it first as a schoolboy, later teaching it at Oxford in the 1970s then re-reading it periodically ever since,” Hirst said. “As the critic Lionel Trilling once wrote: ‘The Great Gatsby is still as fresh as when it first appeared, it has even gained in weight and relevance.’ ”
      He went on explaining, “Today, as America seeks to reinvent itself once again, is the perfect moment to look with new eyes at this timeless story, to explore its famous and iconic characters through the modern lens of gender, race and sexual orientation. Fitzgerald’s profoundly romantic vision does not prevent him examining and exposing the darker underbelly of the American experience, which is why the story speaks to both tragedy and hope, and why it continues to resonate today.”
      Hazard, meanwhile, added, “I have long dreamt of a more diverse, inclusive version of ‘Gatsby’ that better reflects the America we live in, one that might allow us all to see ourselves in Scott’s wildly romantic text.” He continued. “Michael brings a deep reverence for Scott’s work to the project, but also a fearlessness about bringing such an iconic story to life in an accessible and fresh way. I’m delighted to be a part of the project.”
      “The Great Gatsby” has also been adapted to big screen, one of which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby. Starring alongside him are Tobey Maguire, Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton and Isla Fisher among others. Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the 2013 movie won Best Production Design and Best Costume Design at the 86th Academy Awards.

      AceShowbiz – Richard Lewis is “crushed” the multiple surgeries he has undergone over the past year mean he won’t be able to star in the 11th season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm”.
      The 73-year-old comedian and actor has starred as a semi-autobiographical version of himself in the hilarious show, alongside creator Larry David, since its inception in 2000. However, Lewis broke the news to fans on Twitter on Monday (25Jan21) that he’ll be absent from the upcoming eleventh series.
      “What a ride, LD! I love you, buddy,” he wrote. “Tragically, these past 18 months I’ve endured a back and two shoulder surgeries and not able to be in #CurbYourEnthusiasm for season 11. I’ll be watching… @HBO.”

      Lewis added in a statement to Variety that he’s more than a little annoyed that his health battles have cost him a role in the show for the next series, explaining, “For 20 years, I had the greatest comedy gig I could have ever imagined with my oldest and dearest friend LD. Honestly, I’m crushed that I won’t be part of this season.”
      “For sure, I will be screaming with all the other Curb fans when the new season starts. Hope to be there for Season 12!”
      The previous season starred Susie Essman, Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Richard Lewis, J.B. Smoove, and Ted Danson.
      When the show was picked up for season 11 last year, Larry David joked, “Believe me, I’m as upset about this as you are. One day I can only hope that HBO will come to their senses and grant me the cancellation I so richly deserve.”

If the entry fee for this reunion is a bit much during these tough times, feel free to come hang out with me on TikTok live the same time, same day for free.”
      When one fan suggested her “attitude” was the reason she wasn’t invited, Christa responded, “If standing up to bullying is wrong, I don’t want to be right.”
      Madeleine, who played Christa’s character’s mum on the show, then praised her former co-star for her reply, writing, “You’re such a smart woman. I’ll have to get a Tik Tok just to watch you live.”

      AceShowbiz – “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” almost never happened, according to Khloe Kardashian. During her appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, the reality TV star revealed that the pilot “didn’t go anywhere” at first.
      “I think we shot a pilot or something for [Ryan Seacrest] and it didn’t go anywhere,” the Good American founder told host Kelly Clarkson. She went on saying that they were given a chance after “a show on E! fell through, so they needed something to fill this dead air time.”
      “They were like, ‘You’re getting on the show, start filming, you’re getting on the air, like, in two weeks,’ ” the mom of one recalled, adding, “We were so excited.” However, Khloe noted that she and her famous family were told not to get too excited. She shared that someone from the production told them, “Don’t get too comfortable here. It’s, like, just filler.”
      While it was kind of sad, Khloe was grateful that it was how they started. “I actually really appreciate that because we were just thinking, ‘Oh, we’re not gonna have a season two, let’s just film, it’s fun, let’s just be ourselves. This isn’t gonna go anywhere,’ ” she added.

      “We had no pressure on ourselves,” Khloe went on to explain. “We didn’t even have time to think about it; to really, like, have any pre-conceived, fake anything. It was just who we are on the fly and I think that’s what made the show so good…we just weren’t thinking.”
      She continued, “And it turned out that was probably the best thing to happen to us because it was so, I think, relatable and realistic to some people.”
      “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” will air its 20th and final season this year. Kim Kardashian announced the matter in an Instagram post in September 2020. “It is with heavy hearts that we’ve made the difficult decision as a family to say goodbye to Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kim wrote at the time. “After what will be 14 years, 20 seasons, hundreds of episodes and numerous spin-off shows, we are beyond grateful to all of you who’ve watched us for all of these years – through the good times, the bad times, the happiness, the tears, and the many relationships and children.       AceShowbiz – The competition to win Matt James’ heart in his season of “The Bachelor” is not getting easier. Four weeks into the journey, ABC producers decided to bring new women to the show. Prior to their arrival, viewers saw how things were going following Sarah’s self-elimination.
      While Matt didn’t cancel the group date, the women only got an after-party without a day date. He then had a private moment with Chelsea, who shared with him her own experience of being the only black girl among her friends. “I had chemically straightened my hair since I was 2 years old. All my friends were white, my school was white,” she said. “It’s definitely a unique experience that Black women have with their hair. So when I finally decided to share it, it was such an emotionally freeing experience.” Matt gave her a rose.
      Meanwhile, Victoria and Katie had an argument at the house. “I think it’s rude the way you speak to me. I think you are a b***h,” Victoria told Katie. The latter then clapped back, “If you’re going to be rude to someone, especially someone who’s not here, I’m going to call you out. I think it’s unnecessary.”
      Later at the cocktail part prior to the rose ceremony, Matt sat down with Pieper and Kit as he tried to get to know them better. He also had a great conversation with Bri. When Matt walked outside with Victoria, they were interrupted by host Chris Harrison. That was when he told the Bachelor that “there are some more incredible women that are dying to meet you, and want a shot at falling in love with you. They’re arriving right now.”
      The first woman to arrive was Brittany, who didn’t waste her time to make out with Matt. Victoria wasn’t a fan of her and called her a “back-up.” Following her up were Michelle, Ryan, Kim and pagean queen Catalina, the latter of which came with a crown on her head. But then Victoria said, “I’m Victoria, like the queen, and I think I should have that crown actually,” before removing the crown from Catalina’s head and putting it on her own.
      It was time for Matt to hand out the roses. He gave the roses to MJ, Pieper and Bri. Maggie and newbie Michelle also received the roses. Also getting the roses were Marie, Ryan, Kit, Serena C, Abigail, Katie and Victoria. Anna was both angry and nervous as Matt handed out the roses to Lauren, Brittany and Jennesia. There were two roses left and they were for Anna and Catalina. That meant Khaylah, Kaili and newcomer Kim were eliminated.

      The next day, former “The Bachelor” star Ben Higgins came to visit Matt. He joined Matt and some women in a group date in which they had to do an obstacle course, including kayaking through a lake in giant pumpkins. Later at the night portion of the date, Matt and Anna sat down together but Brittany interrupted them midway. “It’s just… disrespectful. I know some dirt on you,” Anna said in confessional.
      Later, Anna alluded that Brittany was an escort girl. “She may be having a transactional relationship with wealthy men,” so she told Victoria. She then confroted Brittany in front of everyone. “Brittany, I really want to talk to you. We’re all fighting for the same man, so I just want to make sure your intentions are pure,” Anna said “Coming into this, I was actually getting messages from people in Chicago and them just saying, ‘Watch out for this girl,’ that you’re an escort and all this stuff.”
      “Wait, you were telling people in the house that?” Brittany asked. Anna responded, I think that’s an awful thing to say about someone, and I want to apologize, but also want to give you the space if you want to talk about why people were sending warnings about you when I literally have never met you.”
      Denying the accusation, Brittany said, “I’m not an escort. It’s just so ridiculous to say that. To have that come out of my mouth… I’ve had a boyfriend my entire like… since I was 16. Making a conclusion about me before you even get to know me, that’s sh**ty. I don’t know. It just makes me — I just feel like everyone’s against me right now. I know you guys don’t care at all, but it’s really hard.”
      Meanwhile, Matt and Michelle had a one-on-one date where they enjoyed riding a hot air balloon. “Today’s been incredible. I’m just up there, vibing with Michelle. It’s something about her presence, it puts me at ease. It feels like I’ve known her for a long time,” Matt said of his date with Michelle. Eventually, Matt handed out the rose to Michelle.
      The next day, the women had a group boxing date with Matt. When Katie spotted Matt outside, she approached him and told him about the bullying in the house. “The house just needs to be better. It’s just a toxic environment,” she told Matt, adding that rumors could “ruin someone’s life.” She continued, “I just figured tomorrow… you could address it. Coming from you, I think it would mean a lot more to them.” It seems like Matt will take an action in next week’s episode.

      Longtime friends Lily and Jane have been trying to find a gap in Dolly’s schedule to stage a reunion of their 1980 movie classic “9 to 5” on their comedy series ever since the show launched in 2015, and as the cast and crew prepare to resume filming on the seventh and final season, Tomlin reveals they have potentially found a workaround to facilitate the country superstar’s guest appearance.
      “We’re always hoping that will happen,” the comedy icon shared on U.S. breakfast show “Today”.
      “(We have a) great role for her this time, I think she will, too…,” Tomlin added.

      Dolly then revealed that when she went home, she asked her father, “Daddy did you know, they’re putting a statue of me … down at the courthouse?” To that, her dad told her, “Well yeah, I heard about that. Now to your fans out there you might be some sort of an idol. But to them pigeons, you ain’t nothing but another outhouse.”
