'GUHH: ATL' Star Deb Antney Confuses Co-Stars After Calling Donald Trump Her 'Kind of Person'

    Instagram/WENN/Instar

Despite opposing reactions from her co-stars, the entertainment manager stands by her stance to support the Republican, adding that ‘America is not politics, America is business.’

    Jan 8, 2021
AceShowbiz – “Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Deb Antney is consistent in everything, including her political views. The WeTV personality shocked her co-stars after confidently revealing that she’s a pro-Donald Trump in season 4 premiere, which aired on Thursday, January 7.
She was in the middle of phone call with Da Brat when she made the bombshell remarks. “I mean to ask you about that too, are you down for Trump?” Brat asked Deb, who firmly answered, “Right. Yes!” Waka Flocka Flame, who was with Deb at the time, was beyond shocked to hear that.
When asked why, Deb explained to Brat, “Because, what you see is what you get.” The entertainment manager further defended the Republican, “He could be ghetto, he could be everything it is that people say. I don’t know why we beefin’ with it. ‘Cause that’s how the hell we do it, and everybody beefing with it. That man is who he is and there’s no hidden agendas.”

Brat didn’t seem to be able to wrap the idea of Deb supporting Trump around her head as she said in confessionals, “I have no idea how in the hell Deb supports Trump. Like I really just felt like she was in a dream and she was just speaking Swahili or some language I don’t understand ’cause I don’t get how you support him.” Blasting POTUS, Brat added, “He can’t run a country.”
Despite reactions from her co-stars, Deb stood by her stance, insisting to Waka that “we all have our own opinions.” She went on to justify herself in confessionals, “Trump with me is really not even policies and procedures and all the political stuff. What you see is what you get, that’s what I like about him. Even if he gon’ screw you, you gon’ know he getting ready to do it. That’s my kind of person.”

Additionally, Deb opined, “And besides that, we’re in America. America is not politics, America is business. I’m not the least, do you hear me?” For those who planned to cancel her over her support for Trump, Deb said, “Bit worried, about my reputation. Because by me liking Trump make you not like me, [you] ain’t never liked me from the beginning.”

Mayim Bialik Stunned by Jim Parson's Offer to Lead His New Show

    WENN

The ‘Big Bang Theory’ actress thought she was ‘very annoying’ so she was shocked when her former co-star reached out to her and asked her to play the lead role in ‘Call Me Kat’.

    Jan 8, 2021
AceShowbiz – Mayim Bialik was stunned when her “The Big Bang Theory” co-star Jim Parsons offered her the lead in his new show “Call Me Kat” because she was convinced she was “very annoying” to work with.
Parsons produces the comedy series, which is based on the British sitcom “Miranda”, and Bialik initially thought he was simply seeking her creative input on the project when he presented her with the script.
“When Jim brought (the script) to me, I thought he was just asking my opinion because we were friends and we have a lot of similar tastes,” she recalled on the “Watch With Us” podcast. “I was like, ‘That sounds great. I totally think that’s a great idea!’ He was like, ‘No, Mayim. I’m telling you about this because I want you to play her (Kat).’ ”
“I was totally shocked that Jim Parsons wanted to still work with me. I think I’m very annoying, but he apparently thinks I’m not as annoying as I think I am, because he wanted to work with me!”

“Call Me Kat” stars Mayim as a single woman who runs a cat cafe and she relished the opportunity to play a “real woman” on TV.
“I love the opportunity to not be told, like, ‘Can you lose 20 pounds and just be like a better, skinnier version of yourself?’ I like just being myself,” she shared.
“I don’t wear (figure-shaping underwear) Spanx. I’ve never had plastic surgery. I don’t dye my greys, like, this is a show about a woman who I hope other women and men will look at this and say like, ‘Oh, there’s women like that, and they can be funny, can be quirky.’ ”
“Also, I get to play a woman who’s, like, occasionally vulgar and socially anxious and awkward, clumsy and fun. A multifaceted woman.”

'Britain's Got Talent' Allegedly Calls Off 2021 Season Due to Ongoing Pandemic

    ITV

The British television talent show has reportedly been put on hold as the U.K. enters another lockdown due to spike in Covid-19 cases amid the never-ending health crisis.

    Jan 8, 2021
AceShowbiz – The forthcoming season of “Britain’s Got Talent” has reportedly been bumped from its usual spring slot due to Covid-19 lockdowns across the U.K.
Following Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement of another national lockdown as of Wednesday (06Jan21), sources tell Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper the show has been scrapped until the autumn.
They explain, “Safety has to be our priority and it’s simply not feasible or sensible to ask members of the public to travel in order to audition at this time.”
“While we’d love to make the series and bring some much-needed cheer to the nation in the coming months, it’s just not going to be possible.”

      See also…

However, according to the insiders, bosses are hopeful the show will return in the latter half of 2021, with judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams expected to return.
“If the vaccination process goes to plan and we are all closer to normal in the summer, we are very hopeful that we could make the series then,” they add. “It would be brilliant to have Britain’s Got Talent for the autumn schedule.”
Meanwhile, Simon Cowel is expected to make his first TV appearance, since bike accident, on the Israeli version of “The X Factor”.
The TV star was injured in the life-threatening accident in August this year. He broke his back in three places – and came within about an inch of severing his spinal cord and facing possible paralysis – while test-riding his new high-powered e-bike with his young son.
He was forced to pull out of the most recent seasons of “America’s Got Talent” and “Britain’s Got Talent”. Kelly Clarkson later took over his “AGT” seat alongside Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara.

Cardi B and Zach Braff Put Their Online Shows on Pause Following Capitol Hill Riot

    WENN

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker and the former ‘Scrubs’ actor have decided not to release new episodes of their shows following the violent protest in U.S. Capitol.

    Jan 8, 2021
AceShowbiz – Rapper Cardi B and actors Zach Braff and Donald Faison have scrapped plans to debut new episodes of their online series in the wake of the U.S. Capitol insurgence.
The stars were among those expressing their shock and disgust via social media as they watched the violent mob of pro-Donald Trump supporters storm the Washington, D.C. building on Wednesday (06Jan21), in an attempted coup to prevent lawmakers from certifying Democrat Joe Biden’s November election victory.
As a result of the riots, Cardi took to Twitter on Thursday to announce a new instalment of her weekly Facebook Watch series, “Cardi Tries ____”, would not be premiering that day as originally planned.
“Good morning everyone,” she began. “Due to all the chaos and craziness we decide to move this week episode of #carditries to next week.Sorry… (In) the mean time keep watching the reruns (sic)…”

      See also…

Meanwhile, Braff and Faison also pushed their latest chat on their “Fake Doctors, Real Friends” comedy podcast to next week, as they, like so many others, tried to come to terms with the attack on democracy.
“No show today. We didn’t feel it was appropriate. Back on Tuesday,” Braff posted on social media, next to an image of newly-elected Georgia Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock, who ousted the state’s two incumbent Republican representatives in Tuesday’s run-off elections, giving Democrats control of the Senate.
On Wednesday afternoon, the actor admitted he was “speechless” at how easily the angry rioters were able to overrun the police and walk right into the Capitol, and hours later, Braff confessed he was resorting to alcohol to ease his anxiety, breaking his attempt to abstain from booze for the first month of 2021.
Alongside a photo of a frosted martini glass, he wrote on his Instagram Story timeline, “Dry January on pause tonight.”

Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, James Corden Slam D.C. Rioters in Monologues

    WENN

The U.S. late-night show hosts deliver passionate monologues to condemn President Donald Trump after his angry supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol in a bid to overturn the election results.

    Jan 8, 2021
AceShowbiz – Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel led the U.S. late night TV hosts condemning the actions of Washington D.C. protesters as “terrorism” on Wednesday (06Jan21).
Fallon ditched his usual jokes in favour of a moving opening statement blasting the attack on the Capitol building, which was stormed by supporters of Donald Trump in a bid to overturn the election results.
Hitting out at the “bad leadership” of the President, he said, “This is what happens when there’s no peaceful transition of power and what happens when there’s bad leadership. This is not how you lose.”
The star insisted his grandfather, a veteran, would have been “disgusted” if he was still alive, adding, “Today was not patriotism. Today was terrorism.”
The talk show host went on to praise President-elect Joe Biden for his comments calling for an end to the violence and insisted that, ultimately, “good will prevail.”
“Today was a disgrace. Today was disappointing. But sadly, today was not a surprise,” concluded Fallon. “But it’s important to remember that this is not who we are. I assure you there are more good people than there are bad, and good will prevail.”
    [embedded content]
Fellow talk show host Kimmel blamed “incompetent” Trump for inciting the “angry mob,” telling viewers on his show, “The President of the United States – because he is too angry, too insecure and too incompetent to deal with the fact that he lost an election, a fair election, an election that was no different than any other election, an election he lost by seven million votes and 70 electors – turns an angry mob against members of Congress and his own Vice President.”

      See also…

“Not to mention endangering the Capitol police, those blue lives he claims matter so much to him.”
    [embedded content]
Seth Meyers also spoke out on the day’s events and blasted the outgoing POTUS for his much-derided video message urging the protesters to stand down while still repeating his claims the election had been “stolen” and telling the rioters he “loved” them.
He said on his show, “What we saw today was a violent insurgency, an attempt to overthrow the legitimately elected government of the United States and it was incited, directed, and encouraged by the present, Donald Trump and more than a few members of the Republican Party and right-wing media.”
“As we were all watching these stunning scenes of violence and sedition, of insurrection against our democracy, anxiously hoping for a restoration of calm and order, the President of the United States told the traitors and the mob, ‘We love you, you’re very special. I know how you feel.’ And he does. He knows how they feel because he’s spent four years telling them in great and odious detail how they should feel.”
    [embedded content]
“So we can be shocked but we can’t be surprised. The president wanted this. He directed it, supported it, he incited it, and encouraged it.”
    [embedded content]
After condemning the actions of a “crazy, sad day,” James Corden urged viewers of his programme to hold on to “hope,” assuring that, “In two weeks on those same steps where that mob fought and pushed past the police, the people who encouraged and instigated that violence – Donald Trump, his children, Rudy Giuliani – they’re all going to need a tourist pass to get in, because they’ve lost the presidency, they’ve lost the House, and now they’ve lost the Senate… So, if you can, have hope.”
