Alison Brie Recalls Accidentally Peeing in Her Underwear on 'Mad Men' Set

    WENN

The ‘GLOW’ actress recounts an embarrassing incident at work, remembering how she struggled to pee while wearing a girdle when she was filming the AMC drama series.

    Dec 31, 2020
AceShowbiz – Alison Brie was left red-faced when she suffered a “peeing incident” while wearing a girdle on the set of “Mad Men”.
The actress, who starred as Trudy Vogel on the much-loved show, told Justin Long on his “Life Is Short” podcast that the embarrassing moment happened while she was wearing the restrictive undergarment – which she described as like “biker shorts that go all the way up to your ribs (that also have a) small hole in them.”
“I didn’t know for the first season that you weren’t supposed to wear underwear under them because they are underwear,” she sighed, before recalling one time when she’d rushed to the toilet before shooting a scene “and tried to pull the hole open, but I didn’t pull my underwear to the side so I’m peeing and not hearing it hit the bowl and then I just feel warmth.”
“It was full pee,” she laughed. But when Justin asked how she moved on from the incident, Alison replied, “I went straight to set and just dabbed it with a bunch of toilet paper. Because they’re waiting on me … I don’t want to lose my job.”

“Mad Men” also starred Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, January Jones, and Christina Hendricks. Set in the cutthroat world of advertising, the show premiered in 2007 and lasted for seven seasons before coming to an end in 2015. It won multiple Emmy and Golden Globe awards.
Earlier this year, Elisabeth Moss teased that the cast may have had discussions about a potential reunion.
When asked if the cast had considered reuniting via Zoom as other TV shows had done during quarantine, Moss answered, “Maybe we have! (Laughs) I don’t know. Maybe we have had some discussions about this.”
“I don’t think I am in a position to officially share anything. But, yes, we are aware that people are doing reunions and we’ve never done one, which is so crazy. We really all haven’t been together in five years. So I’ll just leave you with that.”

Adam shockingly announced his exit in 2019 after season 16 in which all of his team members were eliminated prior to the semifinals. He opened up about his decision during his appearance in an October episode of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in the same year.
“I really do miss it,” the husband of Behati Prinsloo admitted. “I love the people that I met and worked with, and you all obviously know how i feel about [fellow coach] Blake [Shelton]. … I do miss it but I don’t miss how much I had to work.”
He went on to tell host Ellen DeGeneres, “I was constantly working for so many years — very lucky, very fortunate, very blessed and all that — but to just be able to stop in this moment to spend time with my new young family and just have the greatest time ever. Now I’m a stay-at-home dad. I just stay at home and do very little.”
“[“The Voice”] went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever. Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life,” Adam wrote on Instagram at the time. However, he thought that “it was time to move on,” before adding, “To all of the loyal Voice fans, there’s literally no show without you guys. For me, it was time to move on. Your support has meant EVERYTHING… What an amazing ride. Thank you all so much.”

'Superman and Lois' First Trailer Glimpses Clark Kent's Struggle as a Dad

    [embedded content]

Starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as the titular characters, the upcoming superhero series centers on Clark and wife Lois Lane as they return to his hometown of Smallville.

    Dec 30, 2020
AceShowbiz – The CW has released the first trailer for its upcoming series “Superman & Lois” for viewing pleasure. The new video hints at Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin) trying to balance his life between his professional life and his life as a parent.
“We all begin as one version of ourself, but as we grow, life changes us,” Hoechlin’s Superman narrates in voiceover in the trailer. Later, pictures of himself and his now-wife Lois Lane (Elizabeth Tulloch) as well as their two sons Jonathan Kent (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan Kent (Alexander Garfin) flicker on the screen.
“Every moment shaping our character, shifting our priorities, stretching every fiber of our being until we think we’ve lost ourselves to the stress of it all,” he goes on saying. “But that’s not true because under the torn fibers is a strong person, forged like steel, with the courage to fight for those we love.”
“Superman & Lois” centers on Clark and Lois as they return to his hometown of Smallville. The pair will be seen trying to navigate being working parents to two teen boys, Jonathan and Jordan who may or may not inherit Kryptonian superpowers of their own.

In addition, the show stars Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang, Erik Valdez as her husband Kyle, and Inde Navarrette as their daughter Sarah. Joining them are Dylan Walsh and Wole Parks who are set to portray Lois’ father General Samuel Lane and a mysterious stranger who upends idyllic life in Smallville respectively.
Of Superman, executive producer/showrunner Todd Helbing described back in September at the DanDome, “As a father who happens to have two boys, that felt like a really great way to bring in some personal experience to tell a story that is as grounded as you can possibly be to have Superman in it.”
“And as a couple, we really get to lean into Clark and Lois not being Superman and the most famous journalist in the world, but really as parents. What is that like when you have jobs like that? Which a lot of people can relate to nowadays,” he continued.
“Superman & Lois” is set to premiere on Tuesday, February 23 on The CW.

Report: Chris Harrison Is Not Exiting 'Bachelor' Franchise Despite Moving to Texas

    ABC/Randy Holmes

After it is reported that the host will be moving to Austin, Texas with his girlfriend Lauren Zima, rumors start to swirl around that he may be taking his final bow in Bachelor Nation.

    Dec 30, 2020
AceShowbiz – Chris Harrison will always be a part of “The Bachelor” franchise regardless where he’s residing. After it was reported that Chris will be moving to Austin, Texas, rumors started to swirl around that he might be taking his final bow in Bachelor Nation.
“I really hope he doesn’t leave because I love Chris Harrison but the only acceptable replacement would be Wells Adams,” a concerned Twitter user wrote on Tuesday, December 29, referring to “The Bachelorette” alum. Echoing the sentiment, someone else added, “I simply will not be okay with @chrisbharrison leaving bachelor nation eve.”
Calling Chris “the heart and soul” of the ABC franchise, another fan noted, “I’ve only watched 1 season of the Bachelor but even I know Chris Harrison can’t leave that show.”

Fans apparently didn’t have to worry about Chris departing from the long-running franchise. Sources close to the production spilled to TMZ that Chris is not leaving the show. The site further noted that the 49-year-old will commute from Los Angeles to Texas as he’s relocating with his girlfriend Lauren Zima partly because of his recent partnership deal with a local brewery.
Back in August, Chris took a couple of weeks off from season 16 of “The Bachelorette” because he had to drop off his son at college in Texas. “Just like that he’s gone. Thought dropping the big man off at college @texaschristianuniversity today was going to crush me but all I could feel is pride and excitement,” he wrote alongside some pictures of himself with his eldest son Joshua Harrison and the boy’s new college friends. “Especially now, so grateful that they have this opportunity. Now go take on the world and have the time of your life my boy.”

During his hiatus, former “The Bachelorette” star JoJo Fletcher took over his hosting duties.

Carole Baskin in Talks to Front Own TV Series and Write Memoirs

    Instagram

The big cat conservationist, who rose to fame thanks to her participation on Netflix’s ‘Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness’, makes the revelation in an end-of-year wrap up email to fans.

    Dec 29, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Tiger King” star Carole Baskin is in talks to front her own TV docuseries and write her memoirs.
The big cat conservationist, who runs an animal sanctuary in Florida, rose to fame thanks to her participation on Netflix’s “Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness” series, which documented her feud with former zoo keeper Joe Exotic, who is currently serving a 22-year prison sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot against his rival.
Now Baskin, who recently competed on reality show “Dancing with the Stars”, reveals she has been approached to sign on for a couple of exciting new projects.
In an end-of-year wrap up email to fans, she wrote, “I’m in negotiations for a TV show series on the work we do to end big cat abuse and to write my memoirs.”

      See also…

It’s unclear how much of her story Baskin will be willing to share in her autobiography, as she is also facing scrutiny amid the ongoing mystery surrounding the 1997 disappearance of her ex-husband, Don Lewis.
The story of Don’s disappearance, shortly before he was due to head to Costa Rica, was prominently featured on “Tiger King”, on which Exotic alleged Baskin had killed her husband and fed him to her big cats.
Baskin, who had Don legally declared dead in 2002, has denied the accusations. While she claimed her innocence over her husband’s disappearance, the animal activist was sued by his family in September 2020 for defamation.
The lawsuit was filed by Lewis’ daughters, Gale, Lynda and Donna, and his former assistant Anne McQueen after Baskin was being “complicit with jokes” about his death on “DWTS”. In the paperwork, McQueen claimed that Baskin should have not taken a part in the jokes.
“These exact same false statements, and additional ones, are being made again in 2020. It is malicious,” Lewis’ family’s attorney, Jon Phillips, said in the docs. “Making matters worse, Howard Baskin is making these same statements publicly, as is Big Cat Rescue. As such, they have been added as Defendants.”

Billy Porter Admits 'Pose' Team Still Tries to Figure Out Filming Drag Ball Scenes Amid COVID-19

    FX

When appearing on ‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’, the Pray Tell depicter opens up about the complications brought by the pandemic to the season 3 production of Ryan Murphy’s hit TV series.

    Dec 29, 2020
AceShowbiz – “Pose” season three’s wild ball scenes have been booted to 2021 in the hope the flamboyant events can be freely filmed under a COVID “vaccine situation”, according to star Billy Porter.
Ryan Murphy’s hit TV series is set in 1987 against the backdrop of New York City’s drag ball scene, and though it is back in production, current coronavirus protocols do not permit some of the show’s large-scale scenes to be shot.
“We are shooting season three right now with all of the COVID protocols in place,” Billy shares on “Live with Kelly and Ryan”. “It’s not the easiest version of filming a television show that I’ve ever been a part of… I’m just grateful to be back working.”
    [embedded content]

      See also…

And though he’s desperate to get his finery on to film the show’s big balls, Billy supports the “Pose” producers’ efforts to find the best solution.
“We’re still trying to figure that part out,” he shares. “We haven’t shot any of the balls yet… I believe we are waiting for the ball sequences, to hopefully be shooting them inside some kind of vaccine situation so we can have all those people in the room. So we’re pushing those scenes to next year.”
Billy will ring in the new year in style – he’s co-hosting America’s annual TV special, “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year’s Eve”, with Lucy Hale and Ryan Seacrest, live from New York’s Times Square on Thursday, December 31.
“Pose” revolves around New York City’s African-American and Latino LGBTQ and gender-nonconforming drag ball culture scene in the 1980s and, in the second season, early 1990s. Jeremy Pope will be joining the cast in the third season, which has yet to get a premiere date.

'RHOP': Andy Cohen Dragged for Being Biased Toward Candiace Dillard Amid Monique Samuels Feud

    BRAVO

Viewers are taking to social media to express their anger at the reunion host as one slams him by writing on Twitter, ‘Never knew @Andy was so biased and loved Candiace so much.’

    Dec 29, 2020
AceShowbiz – Andy Cohen was under fire following the broadcast of the third part of “The Real Housewives of Potomac” season 5 reunion. Many fans were not happy to see the host showing blatant bias when it came to the fight between co-stars Candiace Dillard and Monique Samuels.
Seemingly siding with Candiace, Andy grilled Monique in the episode, which aired on Sunday, December 27. In one segment, Monique said that Candiace was the one who started the fight by putting her hands in her fight before things got physical. Even though a clip from production backed up Monique’s claims, Andy denied that it happened.
Andy also cornered Monique for looking stoic in the reunion as if she showed no remorse over the brawl. Not stopping there, the “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen” host criticized Monique for releasing her new song “Drag Queens”, dubbing it a poor decision in Monique’s part.
In response to that, viewers took to social media to express their anger at Andy. “Never knew @Andy was so biased and loved Candiace so much. It showed Andy. You had no love for Monique. You wanted to take her down too. Maybe she should drag him #RHOP #cancelrhop,” one fan tweeted.

      See also…

“Damn you Andy Cohen I hope you’re satisfied with the horrible way you came at Monique at the reunion! Newsflash: Don’t think for a moment that crying Candiace and those two boring, bunny-eyed GEMs (green eyed monsters), Gizelle & Robin can fuel RHOP’s future popularity,” another person slammed Andy.
Calling him a bully, someone wrote on the blue bird app, “@Andy also really needs to take a step back and realize how disliked his own hosting was during #RHOP reunion. The bullying against Monique was disgusting,” another Tweeted. Another user chimed in, “Oh wow. I’ve never ever seen @Andy as unlikeable as he is during tonight’s #RHOP reunion. I’m not even sure I can finish the episode. The way you talk to Monique is simply unacceptable.”
Meanwhile, Monique, who announced her exit from the show earlier this week, shared in an interview with All About the Tea that the third part of the reunion was unbearable for her. “I was excited to be back and to know that this time, I’d redeem myself and show my growth but when I saw episode three of the reunion, I said, ‘You know what, I can’t do this anymore,’ ” she divulged.
“It probably would have been a little easier had they fired me instead of me having to sit down and be real and say I have to walk away…I feel like some part of me let a lot of my fans down who have been rooting for me,” she added.

Dustin Hoffman, Paul McCartney and Elton John Celebrate Retiring Billy Connolly During TV Special

    WENN/FayesVision/VALPO NNEWs

During the ‘It’s Been A Pleasure’ special, the Scottish comedian speaks from his home in Florida to explain why Parkinson’s disease played a big part in his decision to end of his stand-up career.

    Dec 29, 2020
AceShowbiz – Dustin Hoffman, Paul McCartney, and Elton John were among the stars showering praise on Scottish comedian Billy Connolly on Monday night (December 28) as he marked the end of his stand-up career with a British TV special.
The 78-year-old was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2013 and he announced his decision to retire from live performances in 2018.
The “It’s Been A Pleasure” special, which aired on ITV, was his last hurrah, and it featured friends and celebrity fans paying homage to the comedy legend.
Actress Sheridan Smith stunned viewers when she revealed she had named her first son, Billy, after the comic, while Hoffman, who directed Connolly in the 2012 film “Quartet”, said, “I want him to be around for a long, long time,” and Sir Elton called him “the first rock star of comedy.”

Speaking from his home in Florida, Connolly explained why he decided to hang up the microphone, adding, “I have done my stand-up. I did it for 50 years. I did it quite well and it is time to stop.”
“My Parkinson’s disease has rendered me different. It would either mean renewing what I do and doing something else, or give up what I did and that’s what I’ve done… (but) it is a dynamite thing to be able to get a laugh out of someone.”
“Since the Parkinson’s I’m still the same in many ways, but I don’t think as sharply as I need to to be a stand-up. I’ve done 50 years and that’s plenty. Quitting is the right thing to do.”
