    Instagram

Along with their parents Marc and Heidi, the TikTok star sisters teams up with showrunner and executive producer Sara Reddy for an eight-episode project to air in 2021.

    Dec 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – TikTok icons Dixie D’Amelio and Charli D’Amelio are capping off a hugely successful 2020 with a surprise present under the Christmas tree – their own Hulu family reality TV series.
The social media stars boast almost 150 million followers between them, and Charli became the first to scoop 100 million fans on TikTok last month (November).
Now the teenagers and their parents – former Republican Senate candidate Marc and ex-model and photographer Heidi – are headed to the streaming service for new series “The D’Amelio Show”.

The family of four has partnered with bosses at The Intellectual Property Corporation, the brains behind “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” and YouTube’s Paris Hilton documentary for the project, while Sara Reddy has been named its showrunner and executive producer, along with Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, and Esther Frank, according to Deadline.

Though Charli is the best known D’Amelio, Dixie, who boasts almost 47 million TikTok followers of her own, is already making waves with her music career, having collaborated with the likes of former One Direction star Liam Payne and rapper Wiz Khalifa.
“Two years ago, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio were virtually unknown outside of their town, and now have over 100 million fans who tune in daily for their every move,” Hulu’s vice president of documentaries Belisa Balaban shared in a statement.

“Every teen on social media dreams of becoming famous, but what happens when the reality hits? ‘The D’Amelio Show’ joins our growing slate of docuseries about the human experience and we’re incredibly excited to partner with the D’Amelio family to offer viewers an authentic look at the complicated lives of these two relatable young women thrust to the top of the social media algorithm.”
Eight episodes of the new programme will debut in 2021. Hulu chiefs revealed earlier this month they have also signed the Kardashian family for another small screen venture due to air next year.

NeNe Leakes Calls for 'RHOA' Boycott After Her Exit, Claims She Was 'Demoted'

    Instagram

In a virtual interview, the book author also urges her Twitter followers to sign petitions to boycott the Bravo reality TV show and ‘repost the boycott flyers when you see them, turn off your TVs.’

    Dec 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – NeNe Leakes is sharing her new agenda, and it’s about getting her fans boycotting Bravo’s reality show “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”. On Monday, December 21, the 53-year-old star took to her Twitter account to ask her followers to cancel the show following her departure.
“Y’all ready to start this boycott yet? What has happened behind the scenes is WRONG!” so she tweeted. “While others were being promoted, BLACK WOMEN who created shows, created genres, built franchise and built networks were being DEMOTED … TURN OFF YOUR TV’S.”
In a separate tweet, the “Glee” actress went on to urge her fans, “Sign the petitions when you see them, repost the boycott flyers when you see them, turn off your TVs.”

Later in a virtual interview, the author admitted that she never thought to be in this kind of situation. “When you work at any company, you want elevation. It’s about leveling up, whether I was an actress or an executive. Everyone wants to level up in their opportunities in their jobs,” the OG “RHOA” star shared, adding her co-stars were being elevated while she was demoted instead.
Claiming that she was “given less and less episodes and these girls were getting more and more episodes,” NeNe noted that all original cast members across the franchise were getting increases except for her.

NeNe confirmed that she wouldn’t be returning for season 13 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in September. “It wasn’t an easy decision for me. It was hard,” she said in a YouTube video at the time. “I’m just so happy that I can say that I was a part of a genre that opened up doors for Black ensemble reality shows. I want to thank everybody that has looked up to me over the years. … I want to thank Bravo for all the memories. … Thank you to the cast for all of the memories.”
Later in October, she opened up to Tamron Hall that she was “forced” to depart from the popular reality show due to unfair offer. “I can’t tell you everything I want from them, but I can tell you that I want fair treatment. I deserve fair treatment,” she said while getting emotional. “I haven’t done anything that no one else has done there or haven’t done even worse. So, I don’t deserve this treatment.”

'Bachelorette' Recap: Tayshia Adams Cries After a Man Eliminates Himself Ahead of Fantasy Suites

    ABC

The said man gets candid to Tayshia in a new episode of the ABC dating competition show that he has come to a realization that he seemingly isn’t ready for a marriage for the second time.

    Dec 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – “The Bachelorette” returned for an all-new episode on Tuesday, December 21. In the new outing, Bachelorette Tayshia Adams took her relationships with the remaining men, Brendan Morais, Ivan Hall and Zac Clark, to the next level in the fantasy suites.
Tayshia had a great time with both Ivan and Clark. Ivan told her that he was “falling in love” with her, and Tayshia revealed that she felt the same. Things were even more serious when it came to Zac, who declared that he loved her. Thankfully, the feeling was mutual for him.
Meanwhile, it was such a disastrous date between Tayshia and Brendan. The two enjoyed the daytime portion of their date by taking a look at some Neil Lane diamonds and that apparently freaked Brendan out. Brendan, who has been married before, realized that he wasn’t fully ready to get married again.
“Looking at wedding and engagement rings and all these pieces of jewelry that symbolize a future commitment and a future decision that really would mean forever… it’s such a huge step and a scary step for me,” he said in confessional. “I’ve been here before. I’ve looked at rings before. But when I propose to someone for the second time, that person is going to be my wife for the rest of my life. An engagement ring means we’re going to be together forever and that means so much. But am I ready to give Tayshia that commitment of forever? Ummmm. I don’t know.”

His anxiety didn’t go unnoticed by Tayshia. “I am really interested in Brendan. He makes me really excited. But now, all of a sudden, it seems like there’s some type of disconnect. I just can’t read him,” she shared. “I just don’t know where he’s at. It’s kind of a weird feeling. I hope that there isn’t something wrong.”
Brendan then opened up about his feelings during the nighttime portion of the date. He told Tayshia that he initially thought he was ready to exchange vows again, but then he admitted that “there’s a big part of me that’s still broken. There’s a big part of me that still needs time to heal.”
“There’s a big part of me that still needs time to grow because I think there are pieces of myself I need to pick up. All I want to do is give you my whole heart, but as I sit here today, my heart isn’t whole. And it really breaks my heart because you deserve a man who is complete. You deserve a man who is healed from his past and unfortunately, I’m not that man,” he went on to explain.
Although Tayshia was understandably upset, she said she understood his decision. “Maybe a younger version of me would’ve been really pissed off at you, but at the same time, I know what you’ve gone through,” she said. “We’ve both been married before. And as much as I would love to be with you at the end of all this, if you’re not ready, that’s not something I’m going to push you to do. I’ve already fought for someone to try and love me once. I’m not going to do it again.”
It was only after Brendan left that Tayshia couldn’t hold back her tears. “I really thought I was going to end up with Brendan,” she said in confessional. “He’s the person, every single day, that I’ve been like…. it’s Brendan. Every single day.”

'Silence of the Lambs' Sequel 'Banned' From Mentioning Hannibal Lecter

    CBS

The upcoming TV series titled ‘Clarice’ which will take place one year after the events of the ‘Silence of the Lambs’ has been blocked from mentioning the iconic fictional serial killer.

    Dec 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – CBS’ highly-anticipated “The Silence of the Lambs” sequel “Clarice” won’t mention killer Hannibal Lecter.
The show picks up just one year after the events of the iconic Thomas Harris novel and the movie of the same name but, according to executive producer Alex Kurtzman, they were “banned” from even mentioning the character, played by Anthony Hopkins.
He tells Entertainment Weekly the rights to all of the characters in Thomas Harris’ novels are split between MGM and The Dino De Laurentiis Company, which produced “The Silence of the Lambs”, meaning the show couldn’t obtain license to feature Lecter.
“I’m still trying to understand how the rights are divided. But it’s been quite liberating because we have no interest in writing about Hannibal – not because we didn’t love the films and the show, but because it was done so well by so many people that it didn’t feel fresh for us,” Kurtzman said.

While the first season won’t feature the title character on the hunt for a serial killer, he teases there will be “an entity that represents something that we deal with in our lives all the time.”
“It’s a more expanded, nuanced, complicated, and topical version of a serial killer,” Kurtzman added.
Series co-creator Jenny Lumet adds the show will also explore the “white gaze,” explaining, “There’s no ‘black best friend’ thing going on here, that would be intolerable to us.”
“We take a big bite into the relationship between a young black woman and a young white woman who are best friends, and have each other’s complete support, yet have never had the conversation about the differences in their lives – and Clarice has a lot of catching up to do.”
“Clarice”, starring Rebecca Breeds in the title role, debuts on 11 February (21) on CBS.

Chadwick Boseman Recorded Numerous Episodes of New Disney Series as Black Panther

    Walt Disney Pictures

Marvel boss Kevin Feige confirms the late T’Challa depicter is set to reprise his role as the comic book superhero in the upcoming new Disney show ‘What If…?’.

    Dec 22, 2020
AceShowbiz – Chadwick Boseman will posthumously make a number of appearances as his “Black Panther” character T’Challa in Disney’s “What If…?”.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige has revealed the late actor – who passed away in August aged 43 following a secret four-year battle with colon cancer – recorded “numerous episodes” of the Disney+ show, admitting his appearances are “very moving.”
He told Emmy Magazine, “(Boseman) came in about four times and recorded numerous episodes. In hindsight, it’s very moving.”
The late actor will play an animated version of his iconic character in the anthology series, which will see what would’ve occurred if major moments from the Marvel universe had happened differently. It is due to drop on the streaming service next year.

      See also…

Other stars reprising roles include Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
Earlier this month (Dec20), Feige insisted the “immensely talented” Boseman will not be replaced as T’Challa in the upcoming “Black Panther” sequel because his performance in the first movie was so powerful.
He said, “I wanted to acknowledge the devastating loss of a dear friend and member of the Marvel Studios family. Chadwick Boseman was an immensely talented actor and an inspirational individual who affected all of our lives professionally and personally.”
“His portrayal of T’Challa the Black Panther is iconic and transcends iteration of the character in any other medium from Marvel’s past. And it’s for that reason that we will not recast the character.”
“Black Panther 2” will be released on 8 July, 2022, and, like the original, will be co-written and directed by Ryan Coogler.

'RHOA': Drew Sidora Asks 'Controlling' Husband Ralph Pittman to Go to Marriage Counseling

    Instagram

‘I’m definitely not a woman that wanted to be kept, I wanted to have a partner, but Ralph can be controlling,’ the mother of three reveals in a new episode of the Bravo reality show.

    Dec 21, 2020
AceShowbiz – When she notices that something needs to get fixed in her marriage to husband Ralph Pittman, “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” newbie Drew Sidora didn’t hesitate to try to work it out. In the Sunday, December 20 episode of the Bravo show, Drew was seen opening up that things between herself and Ralph were “definitely not great,” prompting her to consider going to marriage counseling.
After their disastrous six-year anniversary dinner, Drew said in confessional, “You know, we didn’t really resolve things. We decided just to table it. Which is something that at this point drives me crazy.” She went on saying, “We don’t really talk about it, nor do we have the tools to really resolve it. So we just kind of go along and get along until the next crazy argument.”
Later, it was during rehearsal of her mother Pastor Jeanette’s church sermon in the living room when the pair had another argument. Ralph asked Drew why she looked at him when Pastor Jeanette said that the title of the sermon was “Bridle Your Tongue”. Drew’s mom chimed in, saying that she had a discernment that some stuff was going to go on yesterday.” Referring to her daughter, she added, “And when I came up here to celebrate your anniversary, I came up here to somebody crying.”
Jeanette said that she didn’t want to take sides, but Ralph didn’t buy her words. That prompted her to call out her son-in-law. “You want a person to agree with you all the time,” she told him. To that, Ralph responded that there were “some things that we’ve got to get on the same page with. And this is work that you and I need to do, because it’s not, ‘Ralph, I wrote this because of you, and this is what you need to do.’ You wrote the sermon with me in mind.”

      See also…

Drew defended her mom, saying, “Well, based on the events that happened yesterday and how you talked to her. But it was a lesson for her, a lesson for me, it’s a lesson for everybody that’s going to be on Zoom.”
In another confessional, she admitted that “trying to bridge the gap on Ralph and my mom has not been easy.” Upset about how her husband treated her mom, she continued, “The way he talks, he’s like, super straightforward. Sometimes she takes that as disrespect.”
She hoped that her husband could try to listen and let “somebody speak what’s on their heart and just know that you’re not perfect. And maybe there is work to be don.” The reality TV star continued saying of her husband, “There’s some growth that needs to happen. Why can’t you just say, ‘Well, maybe I can learn something tomorrow?’ You’re like, getting kind of combative.”
“Ralph is very argumentative and I find myself taking a lot of accountability and it’s a lot of work,” Drew claimed. “I be tired — like, I be really tired. So I think we’ve gotten to a place where you just really have to put back in perspective why you came together initially.”
“I’m definitely not a woman that wanted to be kept, I wanted to have a partner, but Ralph can be controlling, you know, he wants to be the knight in shining armor. I definitely am grateful and I see his value and sometimes I just feel like he doesn’t see mine,” the mother of three explained. “I really feel like when we’re getting along, it’s forever. But when we have these arguments, at a certain point it’s like, enough is enough. We’ve got to get our act together for the sake of our kids and for our marriage if we want this thing to last.”
