    Evan Rachel Wood's Mom 'Upset' by Her 'Westworld' Death

    The actress would love to return to the HBO hit series as Dolores Abernathy one day as she recounts her mother crying following the demise of her character on the show.

    AceShowbiz – Actress Evan Rachel Wood had a really hard time keeping the season three death of her “Westworld” character quiet – especially from her “devastated” mum.
    The “True Blood” star was sworn to secrecy when she heard the sad news about her future on the hit HBO show, but she was most worried about how her mother would react.
    “So (co-creator and showrunner) Jonah (Jonathan Nolan)… broke the news to me. He said that she (character Dolores) was going to die; he was very blunt about it…,” the star tells Variety and iHeart podcast “The Big Ticket”.
    But keeping the information to herself was harder than she imagined.
    “I’m bummed out and going through this mourning period, and I can’t tell anybody why or what’s going on or how the season ended,” she continues. “Honestly, the person that it was the hardest for was my mother… I knew she was going to be devastated. And she was, but more than I anticipated.”
    “I called her up and she’s just weeping… I had to… give her some kind of hope, but for the most part, that was the hardest phone call I think. I understand why she was so upset; she takes it personally any time a character that I play meets their demise. It’s a personal attack.”
    And Evan is hoping to have some good news for her mum one day soon because a possible return to the show for her dead character has been suggested.
    “I want to come back,” she adds.

      AceShowbiz – “Westworld” star Thandie Newton is getting creative during the COVID-19 lockdown, by taking to her car to record lines for the show.
      The British actress, 47, has played artificially intelligent host, Maeve Millay, since season one of the hit HBO show, which is set in a futuristic theme park. The programme is currently airing its third season in the U.S., but some episodes weren’t finished prior to the world going into lockdown due to the coronavirus, meaning Thandie and her co-stars have had to come up with unique ways of providing the necessary ADR (additional dialogue recording) for the series.
      Consequently, Thandie shared a clip of herself recording in her car on her Instagram page on Easter Sunday (April 12), writing alongside the video, “Lockdown. Been having to create a DIY sound studio (in the car, in the garage, recording into my i phone while hooked up to LA on my laptop) to do ADR (additional dialogue recording) for @westworldhbo.”
      “We’re doing everything we can during Covid19 to bring the show to you. Without these trans global, tenacious cheats, the full season couldn’t get finished (while you watch each episode the future ones are still being completed).”
      She added, “Huge thanks to our incredible post production team for making magic happen. Episode 5 tonight. Gonna slay. Xxxx T.”

      Season three of “Westworld”, also starring Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright and Tessa Thompson, airs Sundays on HBO.

      Attending the season three premiere of the sci-fi series in Los Angeles, the actor known for his portrayal of Ashley Stubbs talks about his fight scenes with co-star Evan Rachel Wood.

      AceShowbiz – Luke Hemsworth relied on Evan Rachel Wood going easy on him while filming action scenes for the latest series of “Westworld” as he had just had bicep surgery.
      The Australian actor plays security force head Ashley Stubbs in the hit HBO science-fiction series, a role that will see him get in a scrap with Wood’s character, artificially intelligent robot host Dolores.
      However, he says the success of their fight scene was entirely down to the actress as she had to nurse him through due to injury.
      “That was all Evan, she does stuff and I try to keep up,” Hemsworth tells Variety. “It was a couple of days, I’d actually had surgery on my bicep, so I said, ‘Whatever you do, don’t kick me in the bicep.’ So she kicked me in the face instead and that was fine.”
      The star was speaking at the season three premiere in Los Angeles, where all the stars appeared on the red carpet.
      Tessa Thompson, who plays “Westworld” theme park executive Charlotte Hale says that season three will be a new beginning and story arc for the show.
      “In a weird way, it feels like this is the premiere of the show again because we have entered the real world and the show continues to ask the question what it means to be human, but it’s asking a host – pun intended – of new questions,” she explains.
      “We have lots of people that have come to join our cast, fresh blood, so it feels like the show is starting all over again. It’s a show that surprises not just the audience, but surprised the people that are lucky enough to work on it.”
      “Westworld” season three will premiere on HBO on 15 March.
